    Can you use the oven you cook your food in to bake your clay? I'm very new to this and love your videos. Thank you for doing these. Very helpful.

      You can! The only important thing to note is that is you do happen to burn your clay (hopefully not! 🙈) then you need to clean your oven properly with oven cleaner before using it again for food 😊

    I really LOVE them. Many thanks for sharing...
    I would like to ask if you could tell me how to glue the earring back? I have a problem with It because sometimes my earrings are weak in this part. I know that resin can be an alternative, but I fill a bit hesitant to use It.
    Could you help me, please?

      Thank you 🥰 we actually have a couple of other videos on our channel that may help if you want to check them out. We have one with 3 ways on how to attach earring backs, and another one about different glues we tested.
      We mainly use Loctite super glue, but the most secure way is by embedding the posts.
      You can use resin, you just need to make sure you follow safety precautions (see our video on using sealants, varnish and resin!). You also need to be careful because some people are allergic to resin so their ears may react with a resin back. Hope this helps! 😊

    Very nice but I think I might cut off a piece of gold as Id rather use the leaf on clay than make confetti 😊 going to use gold leaf for sure once my studio is set up ❤

      That is the wonderful thing about polymer clay and crafting, you can take all the ideas and make the way you want! Have fun once you get there 😊

    Quick question: could you fill in the parts you want to be gold with acrylic gold markers or acrylic gold paint ?

    • @myclayco
      @myclayco  5 месяцев назад

      You can, it’s just sometimes tricky to get into all the nooks. You can do these options though after baking and try wipe off any excess with a baby wipe 😊

    High karat gold leaf does NOT tarnish. imitation gold leaf does if it’s a copper based leaf. If it’s the multi colored stuff from china it will not tarnish but regular imitation gold leaf will tarnish even if you cover it with varnish, resin and or translucent clay

      Great info, thank you! We found that when we started we bought expensive gold leaf and it tarnished, and then tried the cheap stuff and it didn’t! I guess the moral to our story was that quite often you have to buy the expensive stuff, but in this case you don’t 😊
