Rolled canvas backdrops should not crackle in the surface, unless it is a planned effect that someone wants. However, I would like to mention a type that is not included in this video, muslin backdrops which are made of relatively heavy quality cotton and which are delivered folded. If you want it to be smooth (you will), spray it with water and steam iron it, then it can then be mounted on a pipe and remain smooth.
All materials get dirty. How do9 you clean canvas if it's not washable? Backgrounds has a washable fabric that's washable and inexpensive.. I forget what the fabric is.
💥💥 Hey buddy. Great video and comparative info. Can you PLEASE… tell me the manufacturer and color of that dream weave backstop behind you? I occasionally see a backdrop in a video that I like but no one has ever replied to my inquiry. I really hope that you do, thank you. 🤟🏼
@@Behindtheshutter1 Thanks for the reply. Is Harold the manufacturer or the color? I’m looking to get a backdrop like that and I was hoping that you could give me that info.
Love your style of communication, keep going
Vinyl?

Great discussion. Thank you.

does canvas crack over time when it's rolled and un-rolled? any storage considerations?

For a floor background what do you suggest to avoid wrinkling and dust spots?
What fabric is the last fabric?
What about Microfiber back grounds?
Thank you.
