Mines like that too. I ended up having to get that small metal thing you use to help pull the thread through the needle. I bent it slightly and stuck it through the hole the sewing needle goes through and then I put the thread through it and pulled up. You’ll have to use tweezers to grab the thread once it’s at the top of the machine. Good Luck!

That happened to me as well, but this is what I had to do and now it works: 1. Make sure the top thread is going through the needle. Have plenty of it come out 2. Follow the instructions to place the bottom bobbin 3. WHILE HOLDING THE TOP THREAD (that's the part I had missed) rotate the handwheel until it catches the thread. 4. Then continue with the instructions in the video

Hello Bart - thank you for watching! There are actually 4 videos for the Singer Stitch Quick + , and everything should be covered if you watch all of them.
Mine was broken when I got it. The needle was stuck in the down position with fabric having several rows of stitches having been completed. Two springs fell out into my hand. Never figured out where they came from. It took me close to an hour, using a stitch puller and scissors, to remove the fabric only to find that this did nothing to release the needle. Even with batteries in, the power button remained stuck (wouldn't move at all). I tried several methods to find out how and why the needle was stuck so thoroughly that it would not move. Even looking in the bobbin compartment with a magnifying glass. Finally, I gave up. Notes to self: 1. Too good to be true (there are malfunctions with this machine that I did not anticipate) 2. Walmart puts broken, returned items back on the shelves and resells them. PS I would have returned it but I had worked on it, so I figured they would think I broke it. I didn't. Filing this under never again.
Hello Slinky - thank you for watching the videos! It sounds like your threads are not threaded correctly. Please unthread BOTH the top and bottom bobbin threads and re-thread them by following along with the video. Once both bobbins are inserted and threaded properly, and taken up together, the machine should sew correctly. Shannon
Hello Gavin - thank you for watching! If your machine is not successfully catching the bottom thread, please make sure that the bobbins and thread are facing in the correct direction, according to the video tutorials, and that the thread hits all of the catch points before using. Hope you have a great day!
Hello Payton - thank you for your purchase, and watching the video. It sounds like one or both threads are not threaded quite correctly. We would advise unthreading and removing the bobbins, reseating the bobbins so that they face the correct way, and rethreading both. I hope this helps... Shannon

Hello Amairani - thank you for your inquiry! You do not manually loop the threads together - the needle picks up the top and bottom threads to create a double-stitch. As long as both bobbins are inserted correctly, and the thread is placed through the appropriate locations correctly, the machine should do it on its own as it stitches. Hope this helps! Shannon
Hello Kyle - I apologize for the delay in responding. I have forwarded your comment on a missing step to our Stitch Quick + designer, and if you are correct, we will film and publish an updated video. Thank you so much for watching and your suggestion. Shannon
I just bought this today to sew webbing belts. I'm very surprised a white thread is used for the upper bobbin against a white machine, makes it so much more difficult to see in photos and these videos. Very short sighted.
Hello Verdant - thank you for purchasing the Singer Stitch Quick Plus! The bottom bobbin is self-threading, so if it is placed correctly, with the tail of the thread to the left (as you are looking at the front needle-end of the machine), then when you lower the needle it should pick up the bottom thread. Video Number 2 of this series shows it pretty well, so maybe re-watch that part? Thanks again, and happy sewing! Shannon

You were talking way too fast. You're going through the steps way too fast. You didn't clarify where to put the top thread when doing this. So with all of that multiple rewinds that was totally annoying I was finally able to figure it out. I mean what's the point of making a video for people who've never sewn before to see if they don't have a clue what you're doing and you're blazing through it so completely fast that I haven't even gotten to One step through the next I mean this was one of the most annoying videos I've ever tried to watch when trying to learn something. I appreciate you making an attempt but you really need to take some other things into consideration when you're trying to teach someone.
I agree. Maybe this wasn’t the place for me to start but as a total novice I need to first understand the principle behind a sewing machine before I can just follow instructions on making the parts move. I’m still scratching my head at what looks like she’s using two different color threads. I think if I already had a basic understanding of a sewing machine I might be less confused.
Hello Kris - sorry for the delay in answering. We are very sorry if you found the video too fast. I have forwarded on your comments to the Marketing department. Also, you can adjust the timing on your RUclips video playing so that videos play either more slowly, or faster, depending on your needs. Yes, the first thing to check would be the batteries. Also, the first time you start it there is a little combo move you have to do, according to the manual - I can send you the manual through email if you let me know at CustomerService@DynoLLC.com Shannon
Hello Dominique - we are very sorry to hear that you are displeased with the Stitch Quick + mending machine. Hopefully you attempted a return at the place of purchase if the machine itself was defective.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience in trying to follow the video.

Slow it down then, genius. *hint there are speed settings on youtube videos*🤭
Ya i hate this lady 💯
Mine isn’t starting
Maybe the batteries arnt inserted right? Took me a while to get it running for that reason
Batteries was my same issue
Yes, the first thing to check would be the batteries. Also, the first time you start it there is a little combo move you have to do, according to the manual - I can send you the manual through email if you let me know at CustomerService@DynoLLC.com

After 2 hours of following the video and with no luck this product is now in the trash where it belongs
im so confused lol
This machine isn’t worth the plastic it’s made with. No matter what I do it just knots up in one spot. Waste of money.
Hello Dominique - we are very sorry to hear that you are displeased with the Stitch Quick + mending machine. Hopefully you attempted a return at the place of purchase if the machine itself was defective.

These are the worst instructions they show you NOTHING that is actually helpful there are no close ups it’s like they don’t want the machine to be used
This video was not helpful and it needs more instructions on it.
She cut away because the bobbin will not fill correctly unless you guide it up and down as it winds. She need to show stitches.
Hello Eye on Art - as the tutorial videos progress she does show actual stitching on a piece of fabric - you just have to watch all the videos. Thanks for watching!
This is very nonchalant tutorial 👎
Mine won’t catch. Please show us how in detail!! 🫠
