Yeah, don't the ammo piles disappear once you've looted them? Someone should let him know that. On the other hand, he *did* mention that it was just a bow when he looked at the one ammo pile so maybe he is looting them but they're not disappearing because he's leaving unwanted stuff inside?

Same. He's not stupid though, so I have to assume there's a reason. Since they log out right after the horde night is over and they don't play in between videos (so nobody can grind while the others aren't in the server), I assume it's because Dora's hurting for ammo and materials and doesn't have time to grind for them, so missions is the only way he's not going into the horde night with nothing. Since he didn't build and climb the tech tree as fast as Appsro did at the beginning, it takes him longer to get enough ammo and strong enough materials. Unfortunately, he's now too low-tech and too deep in the game to be able to grind enough in a day to battle the horde sizes they're getting and the zoms just grind him down more and more each day. I mean, he's down to one column to stand on at this point. Without the tech that Appsro has, getting enough cement and ammo is a big ask in a single day. Still, if it was me and I had the same problem he has with time vs materials, I'd at least have filled out the house with a solid layer of wood or cobble or whatever materials I could get together quickly. If nothing else, it would've kept the zoms distracted chewing through the base of the house again and gotten him closer to morning before they focused fully on his single-column fighting position. Either way, I don't think he can survive another horde night if he just repeats the same "do missions all day and build almost nothing" strat next time. He needs to spend their downtime between videos researching good, quick, small bases that can be thrown together in a day, don't require a lot of materials, and are designed to convince zombies to go for an easier target elsewhere. This stairway design is just pulling zombies to him and needs to be abandoned.
I know I thought it was crazy too. Neebs did the same thing the day he got knocked out. Ran missions and tried to throw a base together the sun was setting
For what its worth, those sheer cliff walls and water features behind some of the houses absolutely effect how often and from which directions the hordes can come from. If Apprso doesnt have actual horde spawnable areas behind his home (or anyone really) then there will totally be one house that will consistently get less zombies on horde night.

These are already rough until the horde starts because without each other to talk to and play with they are just every other boring self narrating let's play streamer. These guys are the best together and do great cinematic edited scenes that's what made them better
Why waste time fixing the house...build a horde base, something completely simple buil another little place as a home, it's pretty simple. Fights from homes or using steps as a direct line of zombie pathing is just horrible. The majority of zombies will be drawn that way. They should never use that staircase type again.
@@mbrackeva I do both. I prefer renovating existing structures though, easier and faster IMO. My built bases are always home/horde base. Dig a hole to world floor and put all my stuff down there in a cave, with a tower over the hole and defense wall.
Even though Darkness Falls is done I'm super happy to still see 7 Days to Die on the channel this channel absolutely is the best 7 Days to Die Channel next to Glock 9
Think Simon is the dark horse in this race especially as he went down to 1 life left pretty early and it looked like he was going to be 1st one out. It would be amazing if Simon managed to hang in there for a win but even getting in 2nd place shows just how much Simon has improved over the years.
I just love how Simon and Appsro were digging into Dora the whole episode like they knew he'd die that night. Props to him for not, but I am so curious where he has been stashing his stuff. Surely it isn't all buried in rubble.

doesn't it drain a lot of stamina? I think overall a pickaxe is still better/more efficient. Less damage, but hits faster and uses up less stamina per hit. Has been some years since i played 7days though, i could be wrong.

Another great episode! The big drama moment of Dora's house finally giving way. He REALLY should've moved his forge before it went all the way down. He had to know that was coming. Although for me what amused me most was a personal nerdy thing as I made this map for them, it was Neebs using the street sign at the exit to the cul-de-sac. I found that just immensely funny cause the actual original reason I put that sign there (and no where else anywhere on the map) was so the guys wouldn't get lost on the highway and miss their turn in to home.
Erf... Moving the forge... Oh no, there's 2 iron in it, cannot pick it up. Let's make a thing withe this iron... Oh no, I have to add 3 iron. Ok do it. Oh no, still 3 clay and 4 brass, let's add clay and brass to make something... Oh noooo... Infinite loop. I would rather take the dew collector and empty containers, but place these where, haha ? Not a single safe spot in this mess.
Agreed. The extra distraction isn't something that Simon needs. Also, I wouldn't mind half as much if Neebs wasn't still considered a target by the zombies (like, if he was in some sort of spectator mode instead of just being invulnerable). It seems a little unfair that he can go along on a mission and pull zombies toward him instead of letting the scenario play out between the zombies and the player who's still in. It kind of worked out in Simon's favor this episode but still... he's interfering with the game in favor of giving the player someone to banter with for the scene. All that being said, I actually think Dora's the one who gets most distracted by Neebs's presence. Simon seems to have found his groove whereas it feels like Dora is downward-spiraling and starting to lose interest in the competition. Having Neebs there trying to banter with him isn't helping his "already lost" mindset. The only other time I can recall hearing Dora this checked out of a game is when they were playing Palworld not long ago.
He had the setting for him to be invisible to zombies the first video after he lost his last life. My guess is he probably forgot to turn it on during the recording.

His arrogance in these grates me, so anything that has him shut up about how hes the best at this game and how invincible he is, is a reason to keep watching at this point.
I was actually rooting for the bombers to get at least one explosion off and put some pressure on Appsro. I'm sure he'd recover quickly with his tech level and resources but, still, it would be nice if it wasn't such a runaway win for him. We need to see him sweat a little.

If you block the stairs with spikes, they will be perceived as if there is no path there. so the zombies attack the foundation instead. always leave a spike free designated path, especially if you plan to use turrets to push them off....
Wouldn't be ironic if Appsro did so well, he collapsed under the increasing horde intensity before the others even have demolishers. Pretty well encapsulated with Dora walking past sleeping zombies in a tier one while Appsro is setting up a MG nest in the bowels of a tier four. Was nice to see his defences being the focus though. I know the bunch jest about him getting no action prior, but I'm always seeing a ring of bags around the blade perimeter every night, of a quantity that seems pretty similar to the others amid their rubble.
id love to see you guys do a tier 5 or 6 infested on hardest difficulty with feral sense on in the wasteland... possibly melee only... i mostly only use guns for horde nights.. although in alpha 19 i never used to use guns at all but its kinda hard now to do melee bases and survive.. as for the tier 5/6 infested.. i just wanna see all you guys get ur asses handed to you non stop lol.. i dont think you could do it personally
i'm pretty sure Dora built a stairway to heaven a few weeks back which is why he's been getting reamed ever since Neebs bowed out. his was the second easiest base to assault. Simon attempted one as well, but.. Simon. he accidentally built a platform Appsro never built a stairway to heaven base, he just built a platform base. intentionally or not he followed the survival paradigm of "I don't need to be the fastest, just faster than you" the others built bases to attract zeds into an easily killable column that quickly got overwhelmed when they attracted 4 hordes worth of zeds.
@@MrOsmodeus Yeah, since they don't play in between recordings to keep it fair (so no one can grind while the others aren't playing), Dora should maybe use his down time to look up some better base strats. This one obviously isn't working and I don't think he can survive another horde night standing on a single cement column. I mean, they almost took it down this time and, once he's on the ground, it's going to be over. He needs a good, simple base design he can throw together in a day with materials that aren't going to require him to spend the entire day doing missions again. He keeps doing that and the zeds are just grinding him down to nothing.

Ikr? It seems unfair that he's got that much lag to deal with while the others don't. Appsro has enough advantages without being able to play a relatively smooth horde night while Dora lags so bad he falls off his platform.
I'm wondering if the lag is from all the building damage and the under ground tunnel loading constantly? Maybe the mod need to do a clean up just to clear the items to solve the lag?

His arrogance in these grates me, so anything that has him shut up about how hes the best at this game and how invincible he is, is a reason to keep watching at this point.
I was actually rooting for the bombers to get at least one explosion off and put some pressure on Appsro. I'm sure he'd recover quickly with his tech level and resources but, still, it would be nice if it wasn't such a runaway win for him. We need to see him sweat a little.

If you block the stairs with spikes, they will be perceived as if there is no path there. so the zombies attack the foundation instead. always leave a spike free designated path, especially if you plan to use turrets to push them off....

Wouldn't be ironic if Appsro did so well, he collapsed under the increasing horde intensity before the others even have demolishers. Pretty well encapsulated with Dora walking past sleeping zombies in a tier one while Appsro is setting up a MG nest in the bowels of a tier four.
Was nice to see his defences being the focus though. I know the bunch jest about him getting no action prior, but I'm always seeing a ring of bags around the blade perimeter every night, of a quantity that seems pretty similar to the others amid their rubble.
The fact the Appsro’s word was cheese in the exact moment I WAS EATING CHEESE blows my mind.

id love to see you guys do a tier 5 or 6 infested on hardest difficulty with feral sense on in the wasteland... possibly melee only... i mostly only use guns for horde nights.. although in alpha 19 i never used to use guns at all but its kinda hard now to do melee bases and survive.. as for the tier 5/6 infested.. i just wanna see all you guys get ur asses handed to you non stop lol.. i dont think you could do it personally

i'm pretty sure Dora built a stairway to heaven a few weeks back which is why he's been getting reamed ever since Neebs bowed out. his was the second easiest base to assault. Simon attempted one as well, but.. Simon. he accidentally built a platform
Appsro never built a stairway to heaven base, he just built a platform base. intentionally or not he followed the survival paradigm of "I don't need to be the fastest, just faster than you"
the others built bases to attract zeds into an easily killable column that quickly got overwhelmed when they attracted 4 hordes worth of zeds.
@@MrOsmodeus Yeah, since they don't play in between recordings to keep it fair (so no one can grind while the others aren't playing), Dora should maybe use his down time to look up some better base strats. This one obviously isn't working and I don't think he can survive another horde night standing on a single cement column. I mean, they almost took it down this time and, once he's on the ground, it's going to be over. He needs a good, simple base design he can throw together in a day with materials that aren't going to require him to spend the entire day doing missions again. He keeps doing that and the zeds are just grinding him down to nothing.

Ikr? It seems unfair that he's got that much lag to deal with while the others don't. Appsro has enough advantages without being able to play a relatively smooth horde night while Dora lags so bad he falls off his platform.
I'm wondering if the lag is from all the building damage and the under ground tunnel loading constantly? Maybe the mod need to do a clean up just to clear the items to solve the lag?
