When I was 12 my mother dragged me to confession after hearing me play this in my room. I had to confess to playing devil's music and Father Doyle said what music is that? I said Led Zeppelin and he said "oh... Say 3 hail Mary's, sweep the back steps to the church and don't play that music around your mother". I think he was a fan.
Ah, the old confessional, I had my stock confession rehearsed: 'Bless me Father for I have sinned, it's (6) weeks since my last confession - I have been fighting, swearing and been cheeky' …..and then along came the likes of Zeppelin, and I've never looked back!
Just think they recorded that song 50 years ago, and the whole first album only took 36 hours of studio time and about $2,000, talk about a return on investment.

You only need a soul and an ear for music to know the greatness of bands like Led Zeppelin. Clearly PinkMetalHead, from her reaction, has it in spades.
I too have bowed to the mighty Led Zeppelin. What is so crazy is that the drummer and singer are only 19/20 years old when they recorded this. "That voice, he took me to church." There are a million things that have been said about Robert Plant, that quote is the best of all of them.
I didn't grab listening to Zeppelin even though I'm in my 40s. My parents never did and I was a metal head through the 80s and a grunge and punk guy through the 90s. @Rob T isn't that amazing? I literally never listened to much Zeppelin until I was 30 years old. In fact, I didn't think I really cared for their music until I gave it a chance. I was just too busy listening to newer music to give older music a chance , even though it was everywhere on the radio when I was young . I found it pretty funny that a lot of the beats I was attracted to were things very similar to that which he played. Once I gave them a close listen, I realized how much they influenced everyone and how amazing they really were. Funny how what your folks listen to growing up really influences your musical catalog and tastes. They were into a lot of Motown and groove, plus Doobie Brothers and Allman Brothers. Good shit for sure, but amazing they never listened to much Zeppelin or doors. I was such a Metalhead when I was young. Until I really gave bands like Zeppelin a good listen, I didn't realize that they were the start of it all.

Jimmy Page wanted a band that you could focus on each instrument and be entertained. Most people don't catch John Paul Jones riffing note for note with Jimmy. This is such a show piece for each member. But yeah...Greatest band pound for pound. Each musician is considered one of the greatest at what they do. They only band that ever came close was Rush. Not just Jonesy. Bonzo did the same. If you listen carefully, you'll hear how he follows Jimmy's guitar riffs. He grew into it; you don't hear it so much on the first or second album but after that, it was ubiquitous. Bonzo would usually follow Jimmy's riffs, and that's not something most drummers do. The fact that both Jonesy and Bonzo were doing that is what gives them their Hammer of the Gods sound, since they often fall into playing the same groove together.
Yep...and Jimmy is a perfectionist! As a studio musician before Zeppelin he played on so many other band's songs...including that awesome riff from Joe Cocker's A Little Help From My Friends.

This is my favorite Zeppelin song. Robert's vocals project such angst and desperation, and Jimmy manges to wrestle aches and wails of tears and pain from the guitar. Bonham's frantic drumming just rounds out the grit and intensity of the song. It's an amped up Chicago style Blues. This song is a ride from the first note, and it takes you on an insane trip.
To see younger people react for the first time to the same music that I grew up with, and to see their reactions being so positive, is almost a validation of sorts. Thank you for doing this.
"Achilles Last Stand" is epic! "Since I've Been Loving You", "When The Levee Breaks", "Good Times Bad Times", "In My Time Of Dying", "I Can't Quit You Babe", "Traveling Riverside Blues", "No Quarter", etc. You can't go wrong with anything Zep!
I grew up listening to ZePPeLiN it's great to see young people like you truly appreciating the talent that was Led ZePPeLiN. They will never have an equal.
Glad you love it. This is my favourite band of all time! To think he was like 20 when he recorded this. By chance I met Plant in Italy about 10 years ago, we were staying in the same area on vacation. Sweet, funny and charming. Best band ever.

Listen to “Since I’ve Been Loving You” (studio version from the album: Led Zeppelin III) “Whole Lotta Love” (the live version from the album: “How The West Was Won”) “How Many More Times” (live at Royal Albert Hall 1970, it’s a 20 minute video on RUclips)
In my 56 years on the planet i've witnessed more Led Zeppelin fans than any other band and there is very good reason for this. They are in a League of their own.
Not one piece of digital equipment is being played. If you can watch "The Song Remains The Same'' concert movie, you will see the incredible energy of this band. I saw it when I was 17 and I left the theater a different person.
Dazed and Confused was written by the folk-rock singer Jake Holmes and released as a track in his debut album "The Above Ground Sound" Of Jake Holmes in 1967.
Great reaction! If you do another Led Zep song you should consider Trampled Under Foot. It's got a driving funky beat I bet you'll love. And it, more than any of their other songs IMO, show cases all of their individual talents.
Loved your reaction to this song. And you're spot on with everything you pointed out. Robert Plant's voice is so powerful here, singing about love gone wrong and hellhounds on his trail; Jimmy Page's guitar sounding so haunting, that iconic riff summoning the spirits of previous relationships. Then everything gets turned to 11 once the band speeds up and hits the overdrive guitar solo, right then and there you can hear the DNA of thrash metal being written! Love you! Missed your last live reaction request night, can't wait till the next one!
Love watching your reaction, to a song that encompasses Led Zep. Saw them in 69, Kinetic playground, Chicago. They headlined, the opening act was Santana [b4 woodstock] and the middle band was Lighthouse. What you heard on the recording was even more powerful live, with the band backlit with lights shining through some kind of colored liquid oil, very psychedelic.
I just want to say, my dear Pink Metalhead.... You have the best, most honest reactions to the music. There are so many people out there who try to analyze the music rather than just feeling it the way you do.... Keep up the good work! Yes that is Page shredding! The look on your face... Lol!
Great reaction to an awesome band. You are still my favorite reaction channel because you don't pause or talk over the music, you listen and absorb it and then comment after. If you are in the mood for a light hearted reaction, try ERB McDonalds vs Burger King, it is a good laugh.
Wow. New to watching videos of people reacting to rock songs, and, it's surprisingly good watch. Songs that are knocking on for 50(!!?) that I listened to first time around, sound even better (remastering?). I smile when I watch your genuine reactions to fantastic music, does this old heart of mine good!
Led Zeppelin were an amazing band. Their genius comes from their beginnings as a Blues band. The way they brought that sound into Rock gave them their signature sound. More than that though, was their ability to grow and change with the times, cementing them as one of the greatest of all time. Loved seeing you just groove to music. Another band that you can just sit back, close your eyes and groove to is The Moody Blues. If you get the chance, check out their song Nights in White Satin.
I have loved LZ for the past 50 years. My deceased husband’s first gift to me was John Bonham’s drumstick. He was also a drummer, so it was a special present. They were the best. Got to see them in Europe & America & they did not disappoint...👍🏻🚀❣️
Led Zeppelin was very influenced by African American music. And it's evident in the vibe of the music they left for us to enjoy for the past 5 decades!
John David you've made a very valid point. Their music knows no color, race, age or boundaries. Thanks for the feedback John. Led Zeppelin fans=world wide brotherhood!🤘👨🎤🤘👩🎤
"very influenced by African American music" They certainly were, although in this case Page plagiarized from a white guy: ruclips.net/video/pTsvs-pAGDc/видео.html
PinkMetalHead put on great blues faces during the song, which is half of the talent necessary to be a rock guitarist. She seems better informed and more articulate than many of the young people who do reactions to my generation's music, and she doesn't keep switching the music on and off to feature herself talking instead of featuring the music like many of them do. I'm an old boomer in my 70s who came of age with classic rock, and I'm happy to have seen Zep in 1973.
I was born in '76 so I never got to see the whole band together, but I was fortunate enough to see Plant and Page twice at Madison Square Garden in '95 and a year later Plant with the Black Crows...some of the best shows I've ever seen! Thet did mostly Zeppelin stuff. Amazing crowd too! Religious really...spiritual!
Led Zeppelin is the Holy Mecca Of Rock music Greatest Band ever...Me and Jack Black agree on this...This I've been waiting on you to react to for over a year YESSSSSSS so worth the wait .I have the same reaction as well

Seriously though, I really love how you let the music roll without stopping it 20 times to comment...we can truly see what you think and feel just by watching your beautiful expressions!! Thank you.
They had only been together a few months when they recorded their first album....Right out of the gate they took the rock world by storm and changed rock forever. As others have said, you really need to watch them live to capture the energy, the intensity, the focus of these master musicians, and how they played off of each other. Madison Square Garden 1973 is marvelous to watch. And Robert Plant not only had a gorgeous voice........he was mesmerizing to watch on stage. Unbeatable charisma as a young man......I’ve followed his career after Zeppelin....and he still sings beautiful songs to this day......although softer...😊. Led zep, deep purple, pink floyd, jethro tull, supertramp....... back from school, I used to spend time listening them before to do my homework when I was young. Happy to see that young people love them still now.....
There's something cool about seeing people who haven't heard this stuff before. I grew up with this music 14 onwards, was classically trained on piano and had no idea about any of this stuff until then. (story for another time!) but since I discovered some of these reactions I've been kinda hooked and I believe it's because it a nostalgia trip for me. I get to go back to being on the bus and having AC/DC make me bawl on Ride On, given I'd only recently learned the story of Bon Scott and was buying Dirty Deeds, done dirt cheap, with my first ever set of music purchases. Same birthday as Bon too! Which was yesterday. 9th of July. Watching you hear this/respond to it. I get why reactions are a popular thing on RUclips. ✌️✌️🍻😁
If you're just discovering their first album you have GOT to listen from beginning to end. It's a classic perfect album; EVERYTHING is great! Remember Led Zep were an album oriented band and never came out with a single.
Easton is right. Lifts my heart and warms my soul to see the young begin to appreciate the raw talent of this band. I feel so lucky to be this old and live at the zenith of creative rock. Led, Jimi, Janice, Gracie Slick, Doors, Moody Blues, and so many to even remember them all.... But their music still lives.
I love your reaction! The voice, the bass, the guitar and specially the drums. Unbelievable! I love when they speed up the song, your expression is priceless! Please, if and when you do Stairway to Heaven, do the original and the Heart tribute to Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center. I know how much songs make you emotional, this song gives me the chills every time. The original band members are in the audience Enjoy!!!
Wow you really took me back to being eighteen and hearing this for the first time -- it was a couple decades after Zeppelin was current, but pre-Internet, so you pretty much had to buy the CD or have a friend or relative already into it. I'm sure I just stared, slack-jawed. Nobody would have wanted to watch me "react". Good vid.

Bonham's frantic drumming just rounds out the grit and intensity of the song. It's an amped up Chicago style Blues. This song is a ride from the first note, and it takes you on an insane trip.
3:25 onwards is jimmy page playing electric guitar using a cello bow, his live bow solos were LEGENDARY!!!
My favorite group that’s ever been
To see younger people react for the first time to the same music that I grew up with, and to see their reactions being so positive, is almost a validation of sorts.
All live!
This is exactly why we(I) love you and your reactions. ✌🏼❤️🤘🏼
I grew up listening to ZePPeLiN it's great to see young people like you truly appreciating the talent that was Led ZePPeLiN. They will never have an equal.
Robert Plant was 20 years old when this was recorded !
Glad you love it. This is my favourite band of all time! To think he was like 20 when he recorded this. By chance I met Plant in Italy about 10 years ago, we were staying in the same area on vacation. Sweet, funny and charming. Best band ever.
It's great to see you react to Led Zeppelin.I was hooked on them since I was 13.My friends and I used to ride around with a bottle of wine and a bunch of doobies listening to them on the 8 track.Im 57 years old now and I'll never stop loving them.
I remember hearing that song on my way home from Vietnam. It's still my favorite Zeppelin song.
Loved your comment that voice it takes you to church. Alot of power and soul in Robert Plant for sure. Led Zeppelin rocks that's all there is to it.
Listen to
“Since I’ve Been Loving You” (studio version from the album: Led Zeppelin III)
“Whole Lotta Love” (the live version from the album: “How The West Was Won”)
“How Many More Times” (live at Royal Albert Hall 1970, it’s a 20 minute video on RUclips)
Yes bow down to the greatness that is Led Zeppelin!!! Great review Sweetie ✌
In my 56 years on the planet i've witnessed more Led Zeppelin fans than any other band and there is very good reason for this. They are in a League of their own.
Flawless blues tribute... flawless.... to their heroes Howlin Wolf, Muddy Water, Robert Johnson, etc.
I'm glad to see that you get it! Not everyone does.
Those four men were born to do exactly what they did to you...rock us all!!
Not one piece of digital equipment is being played. If you can watch "The Song Remains The Same'' concert movie, you will see the incredible energy of this band. I saw it when I was 17 and I left the theater a different person.
Try Led Zeppelin's In My Time of Dying. It will seriously take you to church! For real!
One of their best! A real rocking lady with great smarts and tastes . Keep jamming!
Thanks Pink!
I need a PinkMetalHead t-shirt! love your channel.
patrick daniels Email me! I have some :) pinkmetalhead2@gmail.com
The vocals, the drums, the guitar. They had it all in spades.
So glad you're getting into Zeppelin! Not quite the same thing, but i saw Page & Plant play Dublin in 1999 - just magic watching them perform.
Lol!
Just wanted to say I discovered your channel recently and I love you so much!!! Keep up the awesome work!@!!
The whole band gets dirty on this song. Love it.
I am so happy you watched this...keep the tunes coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on graduation . Should celebrate with a livestream. This is my hands down fav Zeppelin song
Will be live streaming soon :) Thanks hun
Led Zeppelin was very influenced by African American music. And it's evident in the vibe of the music they left for us to enjoy for the past 5 decades!
John David you've made a very valid point. Their music knows no color, race, age or boundaries. Thanks for the feedback John. Led Zeppelin fans=world wide brotherhood!🤘👨🎤🤘👩🎤
"very influenced by African American music" They certainly were, although in this case Page plagiarized from a white guy:

The most thoughtful and accurate review I’ve ever heard, rolling stone reviewers could take notes.
Well done young lady!
GREAT sound quality on this review!
Led Zeppelin is the Holy Mecca Of Rock music Greatest Band ever...Me and Jack Black agree on this...This I've been waiting on you to react to for over a year YESSSSSSS so worth the wait .I have the same reaction as well
This is the best reaction video you have ever done. Your facial expressions are priceless.
React to "In The Light", by Led Zeppelin. Nobody's done that one yet.
Also nobody has done The Battle Of Evermore
it's nice to see you pick one of the best songs they ever did !
Girrrllllll, this old man better stop watching your awesome soulful honest reviews or I'm gonna surely be in love.
Watch In My Time Of Dyin’ Live from this concert....
You are sooo right about Robert Plant's voice...the most soulful rock and roll singer ever, imo. Great reaction!
nice to see you sampling the classics again young lady, love your reaction, and whoever disliked has issues with their soul )
The greatest band ever led zeppelin the masters of rock and roll no one can match them they keep getting more and more popular every year unreal
Hello from Long Island. The Song Remains The Same (Studio Version) is amazing.
Led zep, deep purple, pink floyd, jethro tull, supertramp....... back from school, I used to spend time listening them before to do my homework when I was young. Happy to see that young people love them still now.....
That haunting legendary created with the use of a violin bow Jimmy Page is a fuckin genius this was off their debut album
I would have loved to have been in the studio when they recorded this and watched them all play. Drums are insane on this track
So great to see young Zepplin fans they are Rock N Roll !!
Saw post- Led Zeppelin Robert Plant live as a kid and it blew my fucking mind. Dude has soul.
If you're just discovering their first album you have GOT to listen from beginning to end. It's a classic perfect album; EVERYTHING is great! Remember Led Zep were an album oriented band and never came out with a single.
They did release singles, just not in the UK.
the expressions on her face says......... appauled hillarious
Pinkie is so beautiful. No make, no eyebrows, just enduring beauty like the Mona Lisa. Cool song.
GOATS OF MODERN ROCK TRY IN MY TIME OF DYING OR WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS
Eternal tune many joints were puffed listening to this jam.
Most radio stations of the day hated Zeppelin! no time for commercials!
Good vid.
You need to see this done live in concert!! Get "Song Remains The Same" Concert Madison Square Garden 1973!! Watch the whole Concert, with no stops or interruptions and you will be in "HEAVEN"!!!
Jimmy Page is the most creative brilliant rock musician who ever breathed air
Strange taste in women though
Still rocks as hard today as it did decades ago. I have the beginings of a whole are tattoo sleave in the works dedicated to this band. A few more sessions and it shall be done. Omg Zepplin rocks so freakin hard.
