  • In today's video, we are going to be taking one of China's High-Speed Trains from Hefei city in Anhui Province to Shanghai. Now I've spent the last week in Hefei, visiting my partner Cindy's family but its time to make the 2 hour and 15 minute journey east to the mega city of Shanghai. These trains can reach speeds over 300kph and are the easiest and cheapest way to travel around China. We will start the journey from Hefei South Station, where I also explain the process for security and boarding as a foreigner, before making our way to the train platform where we will board the Chinese High-speed Train. We stopped at a few stations on the way to shanghai and actually reached a top speed of 307kph at a few points during the rail journey. I also provide some interesting information regarding the high-speed rail network in China, being it is the most extensive highspeed network in the world.

      @@308_Negra_Arroyo_Lane Yeah the train itself is not loud… smooth and quiet…I was referring to the people from prior experience. It’s also perspective mate… people are dead quiet on trains where I am from 😊 👍

    The train you took goes actually up to 350km/h which is faster than the trains available 5y ago. That's why you were surprised that the riding time is now shorter.

      @LukeCrisp  2 месяца назад

      @@ipg6772 On other lines definitely! But on the hefei to Shanghai that day 307KPH was the highest… don’t worry 😆 I was checking all the time… there was also less stops than back 5 plus years ago which sped up the time.

      @@LukeCrisp I believe you. However, judging by the shape and color of the train you took, I know for sure it was the Fuxing model which its maximum operating capacity is indeed 350km/h. Perhaps, you never reach that speed because of how close the cities were from one another. 🤷🏾‍♂️

      @@ipg6772 Yes, I am aware this train can reach those speeds, however what I am saying is that it did not reach these speeds on this particular journey. Yeah 💯… could be numerous reasons as to why… I would like to go on a trip where they reach close to 350kph! Would be amazing! I think there are even faster ones around 370 or so?
