Liam, the Va for Asura actually started coughing up blood after he recorded the transformation scream for berserk asura. he put so much emotion into that scream he nearly lost his voice because of it. The scream itself was nothing short of amazing.
Damn really I never knew that reminds me of the time Jason Griffith (the Original VA for Sonic) was recording for Sonic unleashed for the Werehog death scream he let out a very intense scream that caused him to pass out.

The song used in the fight between Augus and Asura is Symphony No. 9 in E Minor "From the New World" by Antonín Dvořák.
Neil Armstrong took a tape recording of it to the first moon landing.
Mixing classical music with a badass battle is nothing short of pure genius on the creators part.

The guy who voiced Asura is also the same one who did Gaara from naruto, War from the Darksiders series, Yasuo from league of legends, and Illidan Stormrage from World of Warcraft. Liam O'Brien has the perfect voice to give off just pure rage

The villagers aren't fake, they think Asura is a deity. In the small comic-book cutscene before Episode 12, the villagers are confused as to why Asura didn't take their souls and think they should have prayed harder, hence why when he comes back to the village after waking up from his stone-like state, they immediately start running to his feet praying he will take their souls.
Gotta give props up to Liam. From Gaara of the Sand to the Grandfather of the Nine Tails. That mans got a voice on him.

Don’t think Dontai really understood Augus. He truly believed that the one who is the strongest is right. He sided with Deus cause he believed him the strongest however his losing to Asura made him reconsider. He gave credit where credit was due

even as much as asura hated augus, you can tell by his face when augus died, he still holds a level of respect for augus. there's just something about the relationship between a pupil and a mentor that goes real deep. cuz this man may have made asuras life hard but in the end he was the one who taught asura to fight and made him hard. and i can proudly say that augus is definitely my favorite, if not, the best villain in the game, as a character. cuz he is care-free man that just does fuck-all he wants. literally spent his last day in a hot spring full of bad bitches and ended the day off with a fight on the moon but caught the fade, happily, with no regrets. how much goated can he be???

Episode 12 is truly a masterpiece. The girl that worshipped and respected Asura and the only one who respected Asura, was murdered by the 'Seven Deities'. The amount of emotion when he transformed after realizing her death was very immense, that episode was full of grief, sorrow, and hatred.
37:58 Dontai so close to understanding Yasha's character design. I think his eyes are covered for two reasons. First I think it's mainly him being blind, or turning a blind eye, to the corruption of the other demigods and the souls they take. And secondly it is a manifestation of "justice is blind". Yasha is loyal to doing what he believes is right and just. And he will stop anyone, even the other demigods, if they go against his morals. That's why when he expresses doubt in Deus, he does so without the mask, symbolic of seeing the truth. When Deus peruades him to continue against Asura, the mask goes back on, he's once again blind.

Augus is sorta like the Jet-stream Sam of this game, he doesn't really care about good or evil. He just wants a good fight and is perfectly satisfied if his death resulting whoever killed him gets stronger. He's a warrior live by the sword, die by the sword simple as that. It's pretty respectable not gonna lie. Yasha is just an S teir GOAT MVP BROSEPH! 😎 He one of a kind!

He’s similiar to Hisoka in that sense. It’s just Hisoka cares slightly more about the lead up and what builds up to the fight.

Augus' battle is by far one of my most favourite fights in a game EVER, the QTEs and the fight itself goes so amazingly hard bro. Everytime I see someone play this game I always look forward to their reaction in Augus' battle and yours didn't disappoint! Glad you're having fun I wish I could play this game for the first time again.

Augus was really on that. Man just wanted a good time. Wanted Asura to show that he didn't have to hold back. Augus wanted that smoke even if it killed him. If you really look at it, that's what he always taught Asura. "Wherever it takes you, do what you gotta do and never back down."
As for Liam, from a psycho kid with a demon in him to an alien mechanic and now one of the top 3 angriest characters in video games.

the attention to detail is crazy, when the other deities die like wyzen and kalrow they turn orange like gohma but when augus goes he turns white with a rainbow effect, i believe this shows he is free of corruption
I know I'm late to the uploads, but I'm binge watching them all tonight. You may already know this, but the lore of Augus, he is the only deity that didn't betray Asura. He was not in on the plan and didn't care for the plan. He actually cares for Asura, but he cares more about fighting. He doesn't pick the evil side, he just enjoys the fight. Augus is the only fight that was not a vengeance fight. And in the end, he allowed Asura to win as a final lesson.
Holy shit, been a while since i watched anybody embrace and channel the insanity of this game like this, absolutely goated man, keep it up!
