    1. Asura is legitimately just built different. He challenged the creator of his universe to a fist fight and *won* , all cause he made his daughter cry
And ,yeah, we meme on it but Asura's motivation of "protect my daughter" is so beautifully simple and you can't help but respect the man.
    2. I love that Chakravartin actually *feels* powerfull and that, as the fight progresses, he drops the pretense of divinity and shows himself for the monster he is.
Hell, he gets so desperate by the end of the fight that he starts *hijacking* the player's QTEs in hopes of swinging the fight in his favor.

I really think about this ending a lot. There's quite a lot to talk about in this episode alone so I'll try to break it down into different bits based on the story progression:
-As said in the previous episode, the Mantra Reactor that Yasha installed on Asura was empty of the souls that the Seven Deities had gathered, so it was powerless alone. So rather than using the souls, Asura was able to reach the Destructor transformation through his sheer wrath alone, as his body was now able to handle his power.
-If my memory serves right, the Golden Form was sitting in the center of the Milky Way galaxy according to game illustrations, so Destructor Asura was quite literally traveling light years to reach him. Note that Destructor Asura is around the size of the Earth, so everything that Chakravartin was throwing at him is bigger than it appears to be.
-Event Horizon is essentially the center of a black hole, so for the majority of the fight, you're quite literally fighting Chakravtin in the palm of his hand within a black hole, and won.
-Chakravartin's transformation is how he actually appears as. Due to his power, he believes that he has a destiny of "helping those" in need. Through his previous dialogue and interactions, it's heavily implied that all of the events in the game isn't the first time he has done something like this, as he aims to help other worlds
"that are in need of his guidance". Thus, the transformations shed his illusion of divinity and show the true monster that he really is.
-Chakravartin, the Creator's theme is called "One Who Spins Samsara". This ties into Hinduism/Buddhism belief as one who essentially controls the wheel of life and the concept of rebirth/death, which is Chakravartin's nature of him manipulating those on Gaea and being the one responsible for everything. Thus, Asura had to destroy him as being the perpetrator of the cycle of suffering.
-At near the end of the fight, Chakravartin does indeed start to have his own QTEs. It's spelled as "om" and can mean many things such as the sound of creation, the universe, divinity, etc.
-The dialogue there before the final fight got a bit cut out there when you press "End it". Mithra would've continued it by saying, "Without Mantra, you cannot survive-". This goes back to Mithra's previous interaction with Chakravartin with Asura relying on Mantra as his literal lifeline, but Mithra would just become a mortal without it. That is why Asura says "but, you will still live" as he doesn't care about his life so as long as Mithra's survival is ensured.
-Asura's pupil coming back showcases that he was finally at peace with himself. Ever since he was initially killed, he was literally blinded with rage, so his pupils were white, but you could make them out (in comparison to Augus who was just literally quite blind). Even with Viltra's defeat, they didn't disappear since his wrath wasn't quenched, so them coming back means his rage has finally end.
-The explosion at the end of the fight would make it seem at first that Mantra was lost, but it's actually now meant to be what it is; to spread life. With Chakravatin's death, there is no one left that can manipulate it to their own means.
-If you had not noticed prior, this is a version of New York where people continue the legend of Asura from Mithra's telling and honor his legacy. That's why there are several things that commemorate him such as the Statue of Liberty being replaced with a statue of Asura as well as various joints being named after him like "Asura Attack Burger".
-That is a Chun-Li cameo yea; there's been a bunch of other Capcom cameos in the game like Okami and Monster Hunter, but this ending alone makes a bunch of people believe that Asura Wrath predates the Street Fighter timeline by millions of years. While it's not outright confirmed, it could be easily connected if Capcom wanted.
-Apart from this, Asura actually has yet to really appear in anything else minus a mobile Capcom all-stars (Street Fighter x All Capcom) and a costume in Street Fighter V. He's been quite a popular request with stuff like Marvel vs. Capcom and whatnot.
As a fun fact, all of the true ending stuff was initially meant to be a sequel for the game, but it didn't garner enough sales so it was repurposed as DLC content. To my knowledge, this game quite literally took up all of the disc space as well, but I might be wrong about it.

The ending after the credits was truly a mind blown moment for me when I played the game back then. Throughout the game, you can hear Mithra narrating the story in those episode previews and everything. It was all along Mithra telling Asura's story to those kids at the true ending. It truly blew me and my cousin's mind. He watched me played through the entire game 10 years ago. 10 years ago, he was crashing at my house for his mandatory National Service, so he and I were bunk mates. He first watched me play the game at the start. After the fight with Wyzen, we realised this is nothing like a game at all, but rather an anime where we are playing and living the moment as the characters, like an interactive anime. After that I only played when he was around, so we can watch the whole story together.
The ending when Mithra said "And that was how my father lived" made something clicked in our minds and made us realise at the same time, all along throughout the game, she was the one telling a story to the kids. We loved this game and it earned a permanent place in our hearts due to how good the story and how epic the fight scenes were. Also, the scale of the battle in Asura's Wrath was simply mindblowing and beyond anything we had ever seen in any game or anime or cartoons. Nothing even come close to the epicness of Asura's Wrath. From Wyzen growing big enough to poke a planet, to Augus's sword stretching long enough to pierce through one end of the Earth to another end, to fighting Vlitra that is literally Earth coming alive. Then finally, Chakravatin casually throwing planets, suns, galaxies and supernovas at you.
Furthermore, the way the characters are designed and their powers are also symbolic to the mantra that they use. Yasha is always wearing a mask, because he always has a sad face symbolising him with the mantra of Melancholy. This also has to do with him sacrificing his niece, sister, brother-in-law and billions of innocent souls. He knew what he was doing was wrong, but he continued to convince himself it was for the greater good, causing a conflict of his heart and mind. Deus grew patterns covering over his face in the final fight, because he was too proud to see any other alternative methods or paths other than his own, symbolising him with the mantra of Pride. Augus's eyes are always white like a blind person's because he was blinded by Greed (Desire). The same for Asura after being betrayed and after his resurrection, his eyes are always white because he is blinded by Wrath. Notice after he saved Mithra and defeated Chakravatin and his Wrath is gone his eyes turned back to normal? Wyzen only knows how to harm and debase others. Also his fighting style is to use his position of power and his size to one-sidedly hurt others, symbolising him with the mantra of Violence. The rest are quite obvious. Kalrow is too lazy to even lift a finger and fight himself. Sergei only vainly pursues surface beauty. Olga only acting out of love for Deus.

Play through everything until you reach the true end by defeating Chakravatin. When you reach the ending of Mithra where you see Mithra telling a group of kids a story you will realise it is true. All along throughout the game, it was Mithra recounting her father Asura's life in a story to the kids.
You can also take note of the symbolisms of all the characters I mentioned. Asura and Augus's eyes being white all the time because they are blinded by Wrath and Greed. At the end when Asura killed Chakravatin, his eyes returned to normal because his wrath is gone. Deus being too proud to see anything else being symbolised as the markings that appear to cover his face in his final boss fight, not even alternate solutions to a same problem. Yasha always wearing a mask to hide his sad face because he knows in his heart what he did was wrong, but he had to accept it for the greater good. At the very end of his life when he is finally free of his burden and deciding to trust in Asura, he smiled before he took his last breath.
This game has so much symbolism and the scale of the fights are simply mindblowing. It's a 9/10 game, with the only 1 point missing because you need to purchase the DLC just to get the true ending.

@@xorngoh7303 Yeah, I know. Thinking back, I realise now that the narrator's voice did sound like grown up Mithra here.
I understand all the symptom you mentioned. It's really genius and beautiful how it links with all the characters and their traits. The game is amazing, but it's only missing good graphics. Even for a 2012 game, it still looks quite beautiful. Imagine a remaster today? It would be game of the decade.

Only the 1st playthrough of this game I've ever seen and already I can easily say: THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST GAMES OF ALL TIME. The voice acting, the soundtrack, the bosses, QTE's, setpieces, story, everything is so phenomenal and immaculate. The length of this game admittedly surprised me and when the true ending missions began, the story reached heights I didn't anticipate at all, but I mean all of this in a good way. It's crazy to think of where we started to where we ended. Not for one second did I not enioy watching this game. Not for a single. second. It genuinely kept me super invested the whole way through and I don't even know how.
I love how balls to the walls chaotic this entire game is. The reveals like Chakravartin are crazy, but work because they still fit the game's nature.
Maybe I seem overexcited, I am overexcited. It's just been a really long time since a game's had this hard of a hold on me. I expected and knew the gameplay and bosses would be good based on what people say about it. But the story, like I said, all the way to the end captivated me. And that's what pleasantly surprised me the most. It's simple at its core, but so effective.
Excellent game. I hope I revisit this game many times throughout my life because this was such a good experience even just watching it, man.
    Fuck, it's so good.
    Lastly:
WHY DON'T PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THIS GAME MORE OFTEN!? It's crazy to me that this game is such a magnum opus and yet I barely hear or see any discussion about it.
I love this game with all my heart. I'm so glad I randomly decided to watch this series. Props to you too with the gameplay, Dontai. Your reactions were fun to watch while also having my own.
This game is seriously on another level. I know I can't stop saying it but, c'mon, why deny what's true?
Sad as I am, I'm happy our boy Asura got what he wanted. No one deserves to live with all that wrath inside of them. He sacrificed what he felt he needed to. His wife told him to do what he thinks is right, and he did. Such a great protagonist. Into my personal Hall of Fame he goes.

Absolutely agreed. The QTEs are brilliant, but imo the actual battles could be fleshed out way more. There should be more combos avaliable for fighting variety. And with battles against goons, I think the pacing should be increased since a lot of time is spent in one place. Other than that, the only problem is lacklustre graphics. Even then, it still looks absolutely amazing.
That's why Asura's Wrath needs a remake desperately. Maybe even that sequel that was cancelled a long time ago. Let's make it happen!! I don't want this gem of a game to sit in the shadows any longer. It deserves to be up there with games like God of War.

I feel so bad for mithra, her talent for supporting was noticed, leading to her mother being murdered, her being imprsoned and used as a battery, her father was exiled and she was used as a source of power for like 15000 years or some shit, when her father comes back and gets her, she almost loses him again and then after finally winning, god fucking ganks her and she's forced to watch and wait and THEN, her father frees her but vanishes and dies in her arms.

However, it turns out that this was the scrapped sequel, recycled into DLC. Which is still bollocks mind you, sequel got canned over low base game profits, but credit where it is due as they apparently didn't DLC Gouge...
