Just got a 501s today, can’t wait to get a set of 17’s and tune. Did you have to add the map switch and quick shifter?

No, mine was already installed at the factory.

@@husky_jannice. I am most likely going to order some 17s today or later in the month. What sprocket setup are you running. I know stock is 14 front 48 rear and am considering doing a 14 front 44 rear for a little more top end.

Supermotos seem so fun , but i heard the engines don't last long or are very high maintenance , any truth to that ?

Yes, that is partly true. If you carry out regular service according to the manual, the engine will last a long time. The new Ktm Husqvarna and GasGas models in particular generally have very few problems and last a long time

Danke, ja man kann die 501 täglich fahren. Öl und Filter Wechsel alle 15Stunden sind schnell gemacht und kosten auch nicht viel. Tüv würd ich beim Händler machen 😉. Und ja, das ist ein Wettbewerbs Motorrad.

Hast du hinten eine 5 Zoll breite Felge verbaut und wenn ja gab es da Probleme mit der Schwinge?
Weil viele sagen es passt bei den 24er nicht mehr mit einer 5 Zoll Felge oder sind da noch nen paar Millimeter Platz?

According to the manufacturer Akrapovic, you don't have to. I might do it in the future. I haven't changed anything, the engine is solid

Much better in some ways. Better throttle response, less weight, More power at low speeds and of course better sound 😂
