Always loved the big bore thumpers, when it came to 4 stroke enduros. You can run errands around town, ride it to the track, race it, and ride it home. That is one sick and impressively equipped bike. Love it's exhaust note. No doubt in my mind that she hauls ass!
Great feeling frame on these bikes. I have a 2023 te300 2 stroke, and i'm pretty sure they are almost identical frames and geometry. Great fun to ride, and they feel very nimble. Stay safe everyone
With your experience now with this bike and that you maybe seen a lot of similar bikes before you bought yours may I ask you what you think now in 2024 of how to best consider and choose then between, Gas-Gas, Husqvarna, and the KTM 500 cc… They seem very similar… but which one might be a little better in what regard and in what situations? I want a year-around bike for all climates, sand, rain, snow, cold, heat and with the feeling you always have a lot of fun! What about spare parts availability and cost between these brands today? And the Maintenance simplicity between the brands? … Thanks for any and all advice! This is a cool bike, love to get this type! 😎
@alexsandroleynik4652 Absolutely, that’s great to hear! I got a similar impression when visiting some stores. The Husqvarna guys really took the time to understand what I wanted to do with the bike and even suggested some modifications based on their own experiences. They seemed genuinely interested in helping me find the right setup. On the other hand, the KTM sales team felt more like they were just pushing me towards the pricier options without much consideration for my specific needs. Of course, this was only some stores and a few people, I might be wrong, but the Husqvarna fe 501S felt intuitively right to get up on! thanks for getting back!
Hi, I'm seeking advice on the latest dual sport and rally bikes for 2024, particularly the GasGas, Husqvarna, and KTM 500 cc models. While they appear quite similar, I want to understand which one stands out in terms of performance and is best suited for various riding conditions. I’m in the market for a year-round bike that can handle a range of climates-sand, rain, snow, and both cold and warm weather-while still delivering an exhilarating ride. I’ve heard that oil changes are recommended every ten hours of use, but I came across a user who rode 7,000 miles and only changed the oil 12 to 15 times. Is that typical? Additionally, the salesperson mentioned that regular maintenance needs to be considered with the 501 vs the 701 by Husqvarna. But the 501 felt a lot cooler when I saw both in the store now.. I’m curious about your experiences with the Husqvarna FE 501S specifically. Given its maintenance requirements, do you think it’s worth it? Are there other regular maintenance tasks that I should be aware of except the interval to change oil? I’d love to hear about your experiences with bike maintenance while out on the road. How do you handle maintenance during inclement weather like snowfall and rain, and one sees that is time for an oil change, is it doable in an easy way, ...is pitch dark and snow in Sweden? But I love to get the right bike, not an over-practical tractor or truck... Thank you for any insights you can share! This type of bike looks like so much fun! 😎
A properly opened up 2021 to 2023 FE501 is arguably the best big bore dirt bike model series ever. They are the lightest and lowest c.o.g. too. One needs a G2 throttle tamer for best control tho.
I'm the same way brother. I started riding 2 strokes at the age of 5 years old in 1978. Fifty years old now, with an even bigger love of 2 stroke dirtbikes. Only 4 strokes I have ever owned are sportsbikes. When it comes to dirtbikes, 2 strokes are a must, because I'm addicted to their torque, and their aggressive powerbands. Take care, brother.
Sweet machine! Some people seem to enjoy building missiles like this and then not riding them much. That is a money losing proposition that makes for a great used bike buy. That bike belongs in the Western desert and/or mountains, where it can stretch it's legs properly. That bike would be a little much for the East coast woods. Saw the title and knew there would be lots of brappy wheelies, and wasn't disappointed. Now I just need to watch the GasGas 700 video again 😆
How it's is vs Jr's 700? I've got a 700 but it was hard for me to choose between the two. I went with the 700 for the difference in the service and planning to use it on the road a good bit.
Depending on how hard you ride them and if you want to fallow manufacturer recommend times exactly or not , your looking at 1 1/4 quarts of premium oil every 6 - 25 hours . I run mine little longer in the winter months when I am off road more. In summer I hit more road, change more often.
That's the offroad version fe501 that's street legal in his state.my brother bought same year bike fe 501s in California where we live and they're all chocked up with smog bs so you have to get a pipe and vortex ignition or similar to get them to run right and spend 1500 on a brand new bike to get the power back to how it should be be, that beast is already uncorked and ready to rip. California laws suck😢
I wish that the whackadoo environmental tree huggers in California wouldn't have taken away all of the fun for us 2 stroke lovers. They're batshit crazy, and the upsetting and ironic part of all of those controlling people, is that they often don't follow the rules and laws that they make for people like myself and you to follow. They should never be allowed to be exempt from their dictatorlike, strongarming, and insane laws. Airplanes in the sky create much more pollution in the environment, as well as many other common things doing the same, compared to 2 stroke dirtbikes. These days, if people want to buy a 2 stroke jap dirtbike, that's over 85cc, they have very few choices to pick from to buy. Thank God for GasGas, KTM, and Husqvarna doing their own thing. Take care brother.
Deadbeat bidder messaged us and asked us to retract his bid because he didn't think you could register in his state then he contacted us again and said he still wanted to buy it we told him to get his head straight before he enters any more bids because he was a little confused
Ken you guys should do a video on the young man from Putnam CT that had his Husqvarna and Honda dirt bike stolen. It was his Make A Wish gift as he barely beat his fight with leukemia. There’s a $2500 reward for the 2) dirt bikes stolen. Your viewers could help spread the word to keep an eye out. Special place in hell for some jerks that stole dirt bikes from a kid that beat cancer.
Kick Ass is Right. I just stole one that Also only has 1100 miles on it from my friend for Only 7k and She had 2 sets of wheels for it, DS Tires and Moto Tires. I'm a Lucky Girl! 🙂
Shout out Ron for talking SR into taking it on the road and across the street.. That thing is worthy of it..
That exhaust is NASTY! Love it!
Someone having a wheelie good time😂
🙏 NAILED IT!!!! 🤣 🏆 🥇 🏅 👑
sooo good

Ken just broke the Doug Domokos wheelie record !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just bought a 2021 701. Such sweet machines.

Great fun to ride, and they feel very nimble. Stay safe everyone
I have 6,000 miles 200 hours on my 501 just basic maintenance no problems. Should probably take a peak at valves…or not
Also that one sounds way better than mine

@@SimplicityForGood это одна линейка, одинаковые☝ но комплектующие немного отличаються рейтинг таков 1 хаски, 2 ктм 3 GasGas, а так идентичны.

Listening to the sound of this bike is better than music .

That is a monster anyone says 4T are slow dirtbikes watch this monster

I agree 100%
Not much you can’t tackle with a 501 ultimate machine 💪
I have the TE300 2 stroke version of this machine and I love it. Now I kind off want a 501 LOL
I just got one. The 300 is more flickable and my choice for woods but I love being able to ride from home on the 501 and still rip the single track!
These bikes are sooo easy to ride very fast or very slow. They are single track eating works of art.
Sounds naughty even though I'm 2 stroke till I die

Husky or Gas Gas 500
What a ripper
Wonder how that thing would hold up against the cr500
I think the CR 500 would beat it in torque, has a much more aggressive powerband, and in a straightline drag race in the dirt, would smoke it.
I just missed out on a local 2020 501s that I was hoping to look at this weekend, guy sold it Thursday night. The hunt continues!
This one is for sale at eBay www. Kaplan Cycles.com we can ship it anywhere in the country
I just got a 2005 HUSABURG fs650 let me know what your thoughts are Ken please thanks god bless

Big bore 4strokes sound so good
Keep the bike Ken! Only on this earth once 🚀🚀🚀

700 is much faater and better road bike
Those kids on bicycles were watching and dreaming of day they could trade their bikes motorcycles

And just when we thought that our weekend video dump was over… 💥 BAM!! Kap to the rescue!!! 🛟
What happened with the sale of the bike? I thought it had a higher bid than it sold for. 🤔
Deadbeat bidder messaged us and asked us to retract his bid because he didn't think you could register in his state then he contacted us again and said he still wanted to buy it we told him to get his head straight before he enters any more bids because he was a little confused
