It’s interesting I always hear people being critical on Tom’s hooks, but I’ve never heard one single person, being critical, just simply attempt to rewrite it, and make it better to prove their point if it’s so easy everyone. Ben wrote his part and helped write the rest. He has a serious musical background and showed it.
Tom produces his own beats according to his mood, in order for the chorus to hit correctly, you have to vibe WITH him to his beat. The choruses are meant to be therapeutic. Tom is not a conservative rapper, he is a musically talented, independent artist. If you know and vibe with Tom, this chorus hits hard af, he's pissed.
Tom MacDonald is an Awesome young man he has done things alone without any industry help. The young man loves this Country wholeheartedly without doubt. As for Ben well let me inform ya what Tom said on his live stream. Ben wrote that song Facts, it was his ideal, Tom just assisted him. Ben put his work in that is for sure. It’s interesting I always hear people being critical on Tom’s hooks, but I’ve never heard one single person, being critical, just simply attempt to rewrite it, and make it better to prove their point if it’s so easy everyone. Seriously no shade I completely get that art is subjective and there’s no accounting for taste but that hook was bad ass and the bridge was the best!
His hooks aren't typically very good, and I'm not going to rewrite them or make them better.
That being said, The one in this song was pretty good.

You could tell Brandon's mind was made up before it started, he totally dismissed it up front as not worth hearing and only a novelty song because Ben has a feature. If I remember correctly, Ben did an interview with Tom a year ago or so and they briefly discussed getting together and doing a rap song. I think this is great and Ben is pretty good at it.
