    • @apexcrypto01
      @apexcrypto01 4 дня назад +127

      Problem is:
      1. Most CEOs are fall guys for the board and are needed to take any damage and responsibility for a company should anything go wrong. Replacing them with an AI gets rid of a person you can blame. So companies probably won't opt for that.
      2. You think CEOs are demanding enough, imagine a world where an AI makes decisions that can stream line and cut corners on every virtual aspect of business operations. The AI would figure out a way to force you to work like a dog every second you're on the job and fire you the second the tracking software notices a slight dip in performance. Is that what you want?
      3. Many CEOs are the same people who founded the company so you don't have the right to take the company away from them and replace them with AI (you damn commie).
      Lastly, if you replace the CEO, the next most powerful person is just a CFO and you'll just find someone else to complain about lol

      I think asking for clarification is what made the encounter frustrating. I would have simply said OK, I'll get on it did you want me to get to that before or after this and that project I'm working on? And then use ChatGPT to rapidly write up a list of everyone's job functions and how they could use AI and their expertise to assist them create decent, correct, professional level output. The graphic designer can use AI to rapidly generate prototypes and combine them for a final design. The coder can use AI to rapidly generate rough drafts of code, performs certain edits and corrections, then get to the final product in less time. Everyone can use AI to brainstorm, and to help draft and edit emails and other written communication. The middle managers could be replaced by an internal AI that stores information people put into it about their progress with tasks, and spit out info when asked so everyone's on the same page. The executives could be streamlined into fewer execs who use AI to brainstorm.

But thankfully our clients are very intelligent, usually PhD holders, so most of them use AI detection software and whatnot and then complain about it when they find out. And rightfully so, if you're paying 6k for a service you expect it to be properly done by a professional and not an AI, else they could just buy a chatGPT subscription for $25 and use that. Our company is just failing to realize that while they're thinking about replacing employees with AI, their whole business is being replaced by AI.

    Memo - Role Analysis: IT Director
    After scrutinizing all the available data, it appears this role has three primary functions. 1) Set and achieve goals in line with the executive team's expectations, 2) Organize and prioritize IT department personnel's tasks to ensure quality and timeliness, 3) Mediate interpersonal conflicts between IT staff.
    It has been determined that all three of these responsibilities can be successfully accomplished utilizing an AI assistant program, which can recieve instruction and within minutes seamlessly delegate the workload to staff. This implementation will save the company approximately six figures on annual payroll.

    I had a professor last semester who worked professionally as a coder (and other computer things that I didnt understand bc I'm a computer idiot, hence being in a computer class) for years, he accepts AI as a useful inevitable and he went out of his way several times to point out that a notable AI weakness is in web design specifically. So funny to hear it said in this video like that

    This just made me realize something. Shouldn’t executives like be the prime job to be replaced by ai? Like it’s mostly analyzing data making deductions on stuff based on as much information that they have available. An ai could recall Al the information and apply them in a wait that takes everything into consideration to make decisions. Also it would save a shit ton of money on executive compensation.

    If I was Tim, I would 100% get that in writing somewhere. Cuz I guarantee that when the higher up starts firing people based on the 'analysis and memo' and replace those people with AI, only for the AI to fail, this guy is 100% going to blame Tim. He's going to say Tim never said it wasn't practical and claim Tim thought it was a great idea.

    • @JensGulin

    Honestly, I wouldn't ask this boss for clarification at all, I would simply do literally what he asked and write a memo detailing which jobs could be replaced by AI. You could go through each job role, like how the graphic designer has to input prompts into an AI, take the output, check it for quality, compare variations based on soft criteria like vibes, purpose, connotations, cultural details, etc. Then the graphic designer has to combine the successful elements together into a professional level design and finalize it by making a clean vector graphic or whatever is required.
