Hi Anita, Please see my reply to Vaman Joshi below, so you will understand me a bit better. Our first language as a result of living under the British Rule in East Africa was English and other languages we used to communicate with friends at school as they were like us foreigners from many different countries. Next time I will throw in a little bit of Gujarati and Khachi. I didn't formally study any desi language, hence it all mixed up, including Punjabi.
I would wait for the roses to finish flowering and then have a go at making your first Rose bonsai, remember to use a deep pot for the roots.
Do my desi video have a future ? Don't be polite as I need honest feed back.
      Cheers

mikbonsai This is actually a very good effort n desi videos will definitely bring you closer to viewers from India Pakistan n Bangladesh.you have given a nice touch to video using desi words for manure. You can suggest some local things to use. I mean pieces of bricks, bark sand etc which we they get easily. Also convince your viewers that they can buy terracotta pots ceramics are not must.Same with Bonsai tools.Explain that it's not an expensive n very difficult hobby.
What a lecture! Trust me I'm being honest while telling you that you are going to win hearts... Of course it takes time.
      All the best
I hope you get what I'm trying to tell..Hai naa??

Great thanks for the feed back, I will go back to the beginning and start a new series in my mixed up desi mixtures of languages. You have given me many video ideas and topics for my future videos such as tools, bonsai soil mix, pots and use of good terracotta pots. I am considering that I ought to run a bonsai tools give away purely for desi subscribers. As you say it takes time and billkul hai.

Hi bud, this is my first ever video in Hindi an Indian language, made at the request of many of my Indian viewers, they asked for a combo video on English rose and Bonsai. Apparently both are trending in India. Delighted you made sense of the a language which must sound strange on an English Channel. No afterthought in this video. Not up to speed with Indian Humour.
The same video on an Indian channel has over 19K views in the same period ! Hers the link in case you want to see the Indian version: ruclips.net/video/--JpnpLhhNo/видео.html

I hope you got the gist of it as you couldn't have followed my detailed commentary of care and maintenance. Hope to have cup shaped soft yellow roses and also will need to do some pruning during the summer months, So will have an update then.

Hello Anirban, Thank you for your support, watching and commenting. I did the same video in collaboration with Awesome Garden and over the same period it got more than ten times the views than the same video on my channel, in spite of me having promoted in bonsai groups in India on facebook.
I only got 80new subscribers and my host got over 20,000 new subscribers during the same period. He did not up load any videos for many weeks before my video was uploaded on his channel and he has not up loaded any video since.
The Hindi video on my channel got less views than my english video do within first 48 hours and subsequently.
I would appreciate your suggestions, help to drive more views and subscribers for my Hindi videos. Are there any particular groups I should be posting to in facebook or other social media?
Do have a look at the same video on my hosts channel and see how many views it go on his channel. The link is: ruclips.net/video/--JpnpLhhNo/видео.html

Thank you Rob, I am not fluent in the two languages I used, some Indians mentioned a few word from a third language, but failed to spot the english words. This video was very challenging to make as I kept making mistakes with the script. Not sure yet if there will be a second channel to cater for the vast numbers of viewers in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Have to wait for a while before jumping in. This video as made in collaboration with an Indian gardening channel and its going crazy with the local viewers in India. The intro and outro is done by my host the the rest is the same except its references to my host and the fact that it was a collaboration video. Just see the start and the end and also see the number of views it has had and the comments, a lot are in english.

I will be happy to help.

mikbonsai thank you I live in Kentucky in the United States it's a blue bonsai maple tree I ordered 20 seeds they were 5$ off of a shopping app wish i will subscribe and turn on the bell

    • @mikbonsai
      @mikbonsai  6 лет назад +1

Thanks for getting so promptly. It should be spring in Kentucky and this is the right time to plant seeds.
However, there is one major problem. The seeds you have bought which purport to be for a Blue Maple, will not produce a blue maple. At best if you are lucky and they have sent you maple seeds, then you will have a maples of unknown variety, but definitely not blue leaves. The bonsai community has been aware of this con for sometime now. I have seen Blue Maple seeds advertised for sale on ebay here in the UK with a photo the of a maple with blue leaves. Sadly the photo has been photo shopped for the blue leaf colour. I had a funny feeling that you may have been sold the "Blue Maple" seeds, hence my question about the leaf colour. Please proceed as I suggested after you receive receive the seeds. You can also buy maple saplings for $2 to $3 from places like walmart and this will speed up the growing cycle, so you will have some growing from seeds and then the saplings will have had a head start.
There are a lot of videos here and you can learn a lot, take it slowly as bonsai is not something to be rushed. You will get a lot of joy and pleasure from this hobby. Do let me know if I need any further information on this or any other aspect of bonsai.
      Cheers
