Fluorescein angiography, FFA - an introduction about the basic principles of the test. An FFA teaching session by Mr Williams Medical Retina consultant
Thanks very much Mr Williams for the great talk. One thing I noticed though -- you mentioned iodine allergy as a contraindication for ICGA, although it's now well established that there's no such thing as true "iodine allergy" -- clearly iodine is essential to life and our immune system is incapable of mounting a true allergic response to iodine (immunoglobulins don't stick to single ions). People can have allergies to other allergens in shellfish but this is no longer considered a contraindication to ICGA. Just FYI in case you wanted to update your talk in future.
