I bought it for layering my eyeshadows. I find overtime my powder eyeshadows start to loose it’s colour. I used Mac paint pod and cream pencil to do the trick. Hopefully this pomade can be my go to from now on. Also love that I can travel with a bunch of brushes, foundation for my vacations. Like you, still not sure how it will play out!!!

You know, I’ve been wanting to try the mac paint pots as an eyeshadow base for a while now. They’re such a classic right? Since you have experience w them, I’d love to hear how the pomades compare as eye bases. If u get a chance pls let me know your thoughts after u play w them some more. 😃

I really like this concept, but I’m not sure about the execution. Won’t powder get in the pomades? Will the pomades dry out? How am I to use these on my face when the pans are too small for any of my face brushes?
The colors just look so yummy and it’s so aesthetically pleasing…but practically speaking I’m just not sure I want to do a face of makeup with eyeshadow sized brushes.
I’m interested to see what you think about longevity on the face and eyes as well as the practicality of the pan size etc as you use this palette.
I have combo/oily skin and I’m with your mom. The Balm Powder is amazing!
Linda Hallberg has a powder compact that was out before the Balm Powder. It’s called the Blotting Powder. It has Upsalite in it, and it’s absolutely fantastic. Your mom might like it for setting or just to carry in her purse!

Hey @LisaF_ ! "but I'm not sure about the execution" - exaactly! The pans being too small for face brushes is def not practical. Perhaps this is version 1 and in future iterations she'll address the pan size issue.
Yes! I wonder if the pomades will dry out too. I'll keep an eye on that.
Thanks for the LH rec! My mom's going to be so happy. Interesting... I assumed that Upsalite was DM's proprietary ingredient.

For face brushes the size of those pans are very small. I was thinking that it was an eye shadow pallete with creams and powders, similar to the Patrick Ta. Innovative but not for me. Waiting for your speed reviews 😊

Hi @remionekenobi2444 ,yeah, the innovation is there, and the formulas blend beautifully. But I agree that the pan size doesn't make much sense.
I'd be very curious to know what happened there from a product development standpoint.🤔 She mentioned that the palette was in the making for 2 years. I have experience making physical products (not makeup related though), and it's happened to me that the first year of the process is spent going back and forth endlessly with the manufacturer iterating on prototypes, design and quality control tests, but some aspects of the product might still not be finalized. In one occasion, by the time year 2 came I was concerned I'd be late to market, so eventhough the product design was not 100% how I wanted it, I'm like, let's get this out to customers, get feedback, and take it from there. I wonder if anything remotely similar happened here.
OR... *continues to speculate, without any concrete evidence to back it up* lol, perhaps Danessa thought the pan size was ok? 🤷‍♀️
Thanks so much for looking out for my speed reviews 💕
