Ok. This is my 3rd video to watch. This did it. The subtraction part clarified it. On another YT, they didn't throw in the subtraction. The only question is, what if full compensation difference is a push? How us that interpreted?
thank you for the support, I am glad you got value out of this. Please share with your RN friends. I hope you subscribed by the way. An ECG video is coming this week about pacemaker readings
Hello I advise you to contact Dr Luther if you are preparing for your nclex be it RN or PN. He is the reason I and my husband are very happy today working as Rns.
yo moe, yo literally gave us the freshman year version of ABGS. if you ever took the NCLEX, you would know that just a simple interpretation of ABGs really doesn't mean anything unless you can understand WHAT they mean! I.E. the patho, how the pt is presenting, and interventions that a nurse would take to provide care? cuz if you have ever took the exam you would know that that playing this tic tac toe game is necessary, however, but not even close to being enough to answer the "two questions" you said will be on the exam. Moreover, just know that if you are gonna do an "NCLEX ABG tutorial" for the NCLEX you do need to provide actual novel information? or do we have to send you money for that part? for example, and if you didn't know this moe, ill give it to you for free! so the next time you take the exam you will pass!! did you know that a pt with DKA is in metabolic acidosis?? I mean with all the voliting and voiding, and kusamall resperations, how could you not know?! I mean... you are the "NCLEX KING" lol Finally, why did you never mention that drawing ABGs/ monitoring ABG trends is the best indicator of respiratory status??? or did you not know that? or again do we have to give you our credit card number for that?? Ya'll, save your money, don't give this guy anything, hes clearly a grifter and a fraud. Just go and speak to your instructers, study hard, check out other sources that are actually free! because the NCLEX is an ADAPTIVE exam and no one can give you the perfect cheat sheet!

Hello professor, I am new to your nursing Chanel. The way you explained ABG values is incredible and easy to digest. Question, are the co2 values in reverse? I thought it was 35-45. Or does it not make a difference?
Measurement of arterial blood gas shows pH 7.0, PaO2 90 mm Hg, PaCO2 23 mm Hg, and HCO3 12 mmol/L. Pls someone explain to me why this is metabolic acidosis. Im still a lil bit confuse tho😓

The PCO2 is 35 - 45 , more than 45 is alkalosis not acidosis
Thank you!!!

Thank you pro 🌸🌸 but when can i say compensation rethar than fully compensation 😢
Good job

What if both sides are 4 points.. When its compensated?
Compensated if the pH is normal. Partially compensated if the pH is still abnormal.
as per the Saunders book "When full compensation has occurred, the pH is within normal limits"
Hello I advise you to contact Dr Luther if you are preparing for your nclex be it RN or PN. He is the reason I and my husband are very happy today working as Rns
Wow
You can see that ph is close to alkalosis, so no need to do the math. Ph alkaloid and co2 alkaloid, so it was resp. Alkaloid.
