- In this video we see some trams at the intersection of Bourke and Swanston Streets in the Melbourne CBD. Being in the middle of the CBD we see constant tram action, with different trams often passing through every 1 - 2 minutes. Swanston Street being the world busiest tram corridor home to routes 1, 3, 3A, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72, and Bourke Street being home to two of Melbourne's busiest tram routes, the 86 and 96.
On Swanston Street we see Z3 and B2 Class high floor trams, and D1/D2 Class low floor trams (Siemens Combino). On Bourke Street we see E Class trams (Bombardier Flexity Swift). This video was recorded during a short 15 minute period while I was waiting for an appointment I had nearby.

Coming from Brisbane, I always love the sound of the trams. Their chimes are very romantic ✨
It would be cool for a d2 class tram to go on route 96 one last time😢
The trams with garish paint jobs and advertising are a jarring note, and if I rode a Melbourne tram I wouldn't want my window obscured, but I'm glad there aren't that many of them. The standard livery is handsome and distinctive.
I love E class, it beautiful sound ding
This must be the busiest tram intersection in the world 🌎
I was just in Melbourne for two and a half weeks this month. In the city there’s trams everywhere and I can confirm it’s super busy.
I was in the area around the time. I went down to Melbourne over the Queen's birthday long weekend. I filmed quite a lot in just a few days
IM gonna use this video for mapping pleas
