I wouldn't call this forced feeding. Majority of newborns fall asleep while feeding. This is completely normal for them to eat this way. I've raised 3 and all of mine did this especially when breast feeding. They tend to sleep constantly at this age and if they're not gaining weight properly then you really have to feed them on a schedule every 2 to 3 hrs so this tends to happen. What mom should be doing though is trying too wake baby so he finishes feeding, not just holding the bottle there and letting stay him sleep. She should be removing his clothing, tickling his feet, changing his position, etc. This is one of the first things they teach you in the hospital after you give birth if they keep falling asleep during feedings. I was never a fan of the removing of the clothing suggestion though. The idea was that they'll feel cold and uncomfortable so less likely to sleep. Usually removing the bottle/breast, their position or tickling them worked fine enough.
@@Xessa82if you watched the video from the beginning, the kid didn’t want the bottle, it was already asleep, its mother forced the bottle into its mouth, so no, the kid didn’t want the bottle and she is force feeding for a video.

This baby had absolutely no interest in the bottle and started to fuss when he was awoken towards the end. The only reason the baby ate was because he was too tired to put a fight and if he didn’t swallow he would have choked. You think it’s completely normal to wake up a sleeping baby who isn’t exhibiting any hungry cues and shove a bottle in their mouth and hold it there while they continue trying to sleep….and doing it while the baby is lying flat on his back? You feed your baby while they’re flat on their back? If that’s perfectly normal to you I hope you don’t have any more children because you obviously don’t understand what a baby wants and needs it you think an asleep infant needs to have a bottle shoved in its mouth while lying flat on its back. The baby is beautiful thank you for sharing but I will say it's easier to swallow when your chest is elevated a bit above your stomach it's more natural because gravity helps try lying down yourself and drinking out of a straw it's not natural
It's not only harder to drink lying on your back, babies run the risk of aspirating milk into the lungs causing pneumonia, or have it leak into the eustachian tube causing a middle ear infection. Not to mention feeding a sleepy baby runs a greater risk for an adverse event as well. I wonder if they’ll think it's a good idea to make a video of his breathing sounds when he gets pneumonia and he's ear-piercing screams from a very painful ear infection? 😢
Sweet baby, but he should be propped up at an angle and not flat on his back to minimize risk of aspiration of milk into the lungs or seepage of milk into the eustacian tubes causing an ear infection. Especially if he's sleepy. 💕🥰

Baby's are smart they will not starve if they are sleeping or getting sleepy leave them alone let them sleep don't wake them only to force them to eat because you think they are hungry and you think they will starve otherwise, babies are smart they know when to eat and when to sleep, also when the baby is ready to eat please do not feed the baby lying down, they could choke.
