Very nice tank set up there. I am doing the same currently with all natural but I only keep live plants, pet quality pink and blue ramhorn snails and ONLY fancy tail guppies that if consumed my hatchlings rare turtles I hatch out here never have health issues. The guppy grass controls nitrates and offer clearity to the water also. The fancy tail guppies I keep what I want but find myself selling most on eBay for 1.50 each for 15 or more same goes on the decorative fancy snails. The pink ones sell fast. But this covers all my turtles needs and goes towards other species all while providing live food when I go away for several days at a time. But I only keep fancy tail guppies and nothing more as I fear toxins in anything that can be consumed. With having regular feeder fish, you never can get your money back and it is a mix of many fish that often have toxins that can cause health problems later so I do not trust other fish or most plants either. I will be getting into pet quality designer type shrimp but I just do not know enough about them yet so I will in a few months.
Try Rj’s aquarium in hebron its small and yes its in a older couples house but they are so nice they sell salt and freshwater fish highly recommend them
I like the setup, I would avoid putting turtles in with your 2 main fish being ones that like to sit around all day, they are easy targets to get nipped
