I am on dog #5 and have loved each and every one of them. I am 85 and as long as I live there will be a dog in my household. Each dog was a rescue, each was different, and each was special.
That part really hit me hard didn't know my dog had cancer and he died alone if I had known he was so sick would have fought for him and been with him when he died he died at the vets

This song is bringing me to tears :( I had my cat when I was 1 and she died in 2017, I was 17 and she was 16. I don’t know life without her and I miss her so much...it’s like a part of my heart has gone. Although I have a dog now who I absolutely love, he will never replace her and our amazing memories. She used to wait at the bottom of the street for me to come home from school, she was there through the hard times and good times. A few days before she passed away I knew it was coming because she wasn’t herself but when she died I held her in my arms and was crying hysterically and kept saying ‘wake up, please wake up, don’t leave me’ :(

Just lost my cockatiel and sobbed while watching this. I’m alone at home nearly 24/7 and we talked to each other every five minutes or so. He was more like an actual family member because I knew what every sound he made meant and he understand about 40 words. He was my reason for getting out of bed and trying to get through another difficult day. I’ve hardly left my room since he died. It's been one year today since Hubs and I gave our baby girl, GiGi, her wings. I'm sorry for your loss. My hamster passed away last night. His name is Callisto. He used to bite, but I was always there. He started to accept touch. He had an eye infection. He hated it, but he'd let me pet him and he'd fall asleep. A couple of days ago his eye was messed up and he ended up with a respiratory infection. I was holding him telling him it was okay for him to pass 😭😭😭. He took his final last breath on me 😭

I lost my best friend in a terrible accident a couple years back. It was my fault....she was always there when I came home and licked my tears away. When I lost my dad on my birthday... Six days ago I lost my baby boy, Loki, to cancer in his intestinal tract. He was seven years old. I've had him since he was a bitty puppy. I watched as someone literally drop kicked the littlest puppy out of a van. I called to him and he came right to me and we've been best friends ever since. When I was sad he cuddled me. When I was angry he calmed me down. When I was crying he'd give me all the puppy kisses till they were all gone....but he isn't here to comfort me anymore. I've cried myself to sleep all week. We went to pick up his ashes today. It was decided that because he slept in my room it was only fitting that he continued to rest in my room...

My furry companion of 15 years passed away yesterday. She had a form of kidney cancer and one minute she was fine and then it all hit rock bottom. I just feel so weary and things are not the same without her. She was a short haired 7 toed feline named Paws for her big paws who did some of the craziest things and was so affectionate. No one will replace her or come close to who she was. I'm at a loss for words for my loss as I do not know how to act now. This song is helpful abd beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

She had health issues that stemmed from the abuse when I saw the girl's father throw her against a wall. I have a similar story, had mine at 9 years old for 18 years, and she died when I was 27! so sad but I knew it was coming so I prepared for it months before and it made it so much easier :( I miss her everyday but I know she is not in pain anymore! I would have been shocked and horrified if she just died suddenly without any warning, so I feel very thankful for the way it happened, she was truly the love of my life.

I lost my beloved cat today and had him for 9 years, best Christmas present I could have asked for. Wish I could have him back in my arms, just curl up and never let him go. Sweetest tuxedo in the world, never knew a stranger, lay on top of me when I was sick, give me kitty kisses when asked for it, and now I have lost my whole world. I think he sent me another tux this very day to help heal me. A stray that is similar to him (more white than my baby boy) showed up on my porch and was very sweet and gentle, but he still isn't my baby. It helped a little to cope. But the water work starts all over when I go back inside and it's a big void, and just so lonely. I really hope I will see him and we cross that Rainbow Bridge together. Thanks for the song!

My cat just went missing a week ago, ive been looking for him everywhere i could go day and night calling his name and bring his favorite snacks, putting his posters and flyers everywhere, asks my friends even strangers for help spreading his pictures, i do everything i could and all that efforts still can't bring him back home. I had my cat when I was 1 and she died in 2017, I was 17 and she was 16. I don’t know life without her and I miss her so much...it’s like a part of my heart has gone. Although I have a dog now who I absolutely love, he will never replace her and our amazing memories. She used to wait at the bottom of the street for me to come home from school, she was there through the hard times and good times. A few days before she passed away I knew it was coming because she wasn’t herself but when she died I held her in my arms and was crying hysterically and kept saying ‘wake up, please wake up, don’t leave me’ :(

She came into my life when I was 8 and now just before I turn 23, she left me. Her last moments was her just staring to me as i cry hysterically before she breathed her last breath. It's been one year today since Hubs and I gave our baby girl, GiGi, her wings. At 18-yrs old, the dementia was taking over her mind and we couldn't let the most intelligent dog we've ever known, suffer the confusion and stress it was causing her. I'm sorry for your loss. My hamster passed away last night. His name is Callisto. He used to bite, but I was always there. He started to accept touch. He had an eye infection. He hated it, but he'd let me pet him and he'd fall asleep. A couple of days ago his eye was messed up and he ended up with a respiratory infection. I was holding him telling him it was okay for him to pass 😭😭😭. He took his final last breath on me 😭

Six days ago I lost my baby boy, Loki, to cancer in his intestinal tract. He was seven years old. I've had him since he was a bitty puppy. I watched as someone literally drop kicked the littlest puppy out of a van. I called to him and he came right to me and we've been best friends ever since. When I was sad he cuddled me. When I was angry he calmed me down. When I was crying he'd give me all the puppy kisses till they were all gone....but he isn't here to comfort me anymore. I've cried myself to sleep all week. My Angel Patches kitty came into our lives after being left behind by a neighbor at 7 months old. She had health issues that stemmed from the abuse when I saw the girl's father throw her against a wall. She was spoiled by me and my husband for 9 years, passed almost 2 years ago, and the tears still flow. Unconditional love.❤
I love this. I just lost my cat of 17 years last week and i'm so broken bc i've had him since i was 9 and we had to put him to sleep a few days after my 26th birthday. I miss him so much.
I have a similar story, had mine at 9 years old for 18 years, and she died when I was 27! so sad but I knew it was coming so I prepared for it months before and it made it so much easier :( I miss her everyday but I know she is not in pain anymore! I would have been shocked and horrified if she just died suddenly without any warning, so I feel very thankful for the way it happened, she was truly the love of my life.

Sweetest tuxedo in the world, never knew a stranger, lay on top of me when I was sick, give me kitty kisses when asked for it, and now I have lost my whole world. I think he sent me another tux this very day to help heal me. A stray that is similar to him (more white than my baby boy) showed up on my porch and was very sweet and gentle, but he still isn't my baby. It helped a little to cope. But the water work starts all over when I go back inside and it's a big void, and just so lonely. I really hope I will see him and we cross that Rainbow Bridge together. Thanks for the song!

My cat just went missing a week ago, ive been looking for him everywhere i could go day and night calling his name and bring his favorite snacks, putting his posters and flyers everywhere, asks my friends even strangers for help spreading his pictures, i do everything i could and all that efforts still can't bring him back home.
