The Good Place and Ted Lasso are actual feel good shows.
So many people recommend Ted Lasso (with good reason), but the Good Place is very underrated, imo. I don't see too many reactions fo that show.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a very underrated feel good show
@@Mrsamj1989 yes I love Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt too!
Oh the season 4 reactions are gonna be a thing of beauty.
Yeah I wasn't THAT mad at losing Hopper, maybe at least 40% because I didn't believe they'd kill him off for real and he died in a magic portal explosion. But season 4 there's a thing or two that got me really mad.
@@jerodast I was just thinking about the final episode. If Billy dying got them like that…
Lol this is just the beginning season 4 is gonna be a grind
Oh man the feel good moments that season is gonna have them hating Chad lol
Season 4 may in fact end them.. but revive them from how awesome it is at the same time. Like Season 4 of this show is really epic, but a hard watch too at times.. for sure made me cry a couple times (as a 30 year old man)
The Good Place is the most feel-good show. Its both screwball comedy and deeply, philosophically satisfying.
That’s a great recommendation!! Yes!
The number of comments for a feel good show saying "Ted Lasso" make me extremely happy. They're also 100% accurate.
Yea Ted Lasso tends to be way more upbeat
Yes! Ted Lasso is the uplifting show they're looking for.
...for the most part
Stop after season 2 though. Season 3 was trash.
It was mostly happy. But personally there was a LOT of moments that really hit hard because you are always so used to the happy that even the little things are a stab to the heart in that show.
I bawl every single damn time hopper reads his letter. I don't think there's been one time i haven't cried.
Same.
Right there with ya 🥲
Hopper and Billy were the MVP’s of this season , they were amazing.
Hopper defeated Grigori like a boss and Billy was able to redeem himself , very satisfying.
I dont care what some people think , i belive that Billy redeemed himself , he was only 18 year’s old and still he was able to sacrifice his life for his sister’s best friend , and he apologized to Max for everything , that’s a very good redemtion to me.
Definitely, he could've said anything. He could've tried to reserve his energy by not saying everything. But he mustered up the energy to say something to try and say something to make amends with his sister: "I'm sorry." And the actor did an amazing job conveying that
Hopper was unbearable this season. Absolute doofus caricature of the intelligent, caring, tough guy we got to know in seasons 1 and 2. The writing was bad, and the actor's performance was shockingly bad. Just awful.
@@jawbone78 nah the actor did phenomenal and it was a good character arch for hopper because he had to deal with his unresolved trauma of becoming a father again. Good bait tho
@@jawbone78bro… he was made insta-dad of a teen girl and had no idea how to handle it.
As a dad… and knowing how 80’s dads were…. It was perfectly believable
@@jawbone78 couldn't disagree more. loved season 3 hop.
"Your jump scare didn't work! We're getting stronger!!"
5 min later: "I can't I can't can't!"
Ted Lasso is a warm hug for the soul that really makes you try to look for the best in people. Cannot recommend enough.
But only watch season 1. The other two aint worth it.
Also Schitts Creek
Feel good shows that ACTUALLY feel good?
"Be curious, not judgmental."
Ted Lasso would definitely fit the bill
An actually uplifting show? The Good Place. It does have some stressful moments, but its mostly a thoughtful show full of emotions and feelings (and laughs).
I would love to see them react to the Good Place!! I wish I could watch it for the first time again, but their reaction would be the next best thing
This is the one.
Holy cow, The Good Place is so good, too!
All Michael schur shows are gold
The Good Place was my go to recommendation! It’s got super funny moments while also being amazingly sincere and sweet!
You guys would probably like "The Good Place" tv show
Absolutely ! That's actually feel good.
Best Feel Good Shows: "Ted Lasso" "Schitt's Creek" "the Good Place" "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" "Derry Girls" "Sex Ed" "Only Murders In The Building" "Superstore" & "Parks and Rec"
The one I rly rly want you to watch is not so feel good though it does have quite a it of humor just not in a laugh out loud kinda way & it's go suspense and muder is "KILLING EVE" ( all four seasons..... The lady who created the show and wrote the first season is ( Pheobe Waler Bridge) the same lady that acted in "Fleabag"
I’d love to see reactions to Schitt’s Creek, The Good Place, and Derry Girls!! And Killing Eve, of course!
We have similar taste in shows, have you seen Orphan Black, Deadloch, and Yellowjackets?
Ok, ya talked me into it. The Good Place is on the list.
@@hntrthmpsn I have not watched Orphan Black & Deadloch.... but HAVE watched Yellowjackets and Loved it!!
@@KublaVeruca I think the GIrlsl would ABSOLUTELY love 'KILLING EVE" too?!
Just echoing everyone else- Ted Lasso is a feel good show, with a handful of very sad moments, but nothing really day-ruining. The Good Place is even more lighthearted, where even its sad moments usually end up being pretty funny, but plenty of depth to make it worth watching.
Ted Lasso ❤
love the Good Place - it got a lot of comments/ votes on the last poll
The Good Place is soooooo good
Ted Lasso... actual feel good.
It's been said a lot already but Ted Lasso definitely has feel good moments
Seconding the comments for The Good Place. Has some very deep thoughts and feelings but in a very light, fun, and funny way. The characters, the story, and the acting are all brilliant. One caveat, if you don’t know anything about it, DO NOT LOOK IT UP. There are surprises in almost every episode which add to the charm, so avoid spoilers at all costs.
Yeah hearing Hop tell his speech at the end in his really calm serene voice fucking WRECKS me every time
Ted lasso is a amazing feel good show, lots of positivity from the main lead that wants to share it to everyone. Roy kent is also great just not with feelings xD
Pushing Daisies is a quirky, warm show about a baker who solves murder mysteries. He can bring people back to life. It's an adorable, loving, and weird romp!
Billy was always a protector, he stood up to his dad as a kid when trying to protect his mom from him, and him being controlling with Max is his way of protecting her
you two should react to derry girls!!
Another vote for Ted Lasso. Beautiful and silly and uplifting
I love Arianna. 21:36 You ever accidentally jump into your ceiling fan? "Yes"
As much as i LOVE season 4, Season 3's ending with Hopper's Speech is still my favorite moment of the series.
Ted Lasso and Only Murders in the Building (which is a comedy) are both great shows.
Ted Lasso is my favorite feel good show it has sad moments but still mostly feel good
TED LASSO is what you looking for
TED LASSO, EVERY EPISODE IS TRUE FEEL GOOD VIBES
Ted Lasso is feel guuuuuud if you guys haven't watched it.
I knew Shogun was coming yesterday, but forgot about the emotional damage for today. I wonder if they watched these back to back.
They're in the same clothes as in that Shogun video. But they mentioned it being late on that one so they might have done it after this.
yeah i recommended they do it last cause i knew what was happenin' and i knew it would be tough to do more after
@@Diegesis Yea that Shogun episode was rough. I don't think they could have done it the other way around. These were two episodes that is just a lot to process.
@@Diegesis Just watched it. Wow, great reaction, I feel bad for wanting them to suffer like this. Then again, there is the 4th episode of next season for an emotional roller coaster.
I have a show for you it's an old show but it's funny. It's called Psych it's slow burn but. It won't be long before you two are laughing your asses off.@@Diegesis
Ted Lasso! Best feel good show!
First show I thought of. I see you have great taste
Actual feel good show ?
Watch The Good Place. It's funny, brilliant and a bit sad but in the wholesome kind of way, not in the depressing one.
Honestly, it's a reeaaally amazing show and it's not being talked about enough.
Ted Lasso, captain fantastic, The Newsroom
ooo captain fantastic would be a great reaction, I don't think I've seen anyone else react to that
YES! Captain Fantastic is amazing! I'd forgotten about that one...
what are you talking about???? this show is uplifting and feel good!
100% I feel super good after almost all the episodes 😁
Exactly. It ends with hope if you're paying attention to the Russians at the end.
@@jxchamb I think that they completely missed that part because they were focused on the next bad thing
All the people advocating for TED LASSO in the comments are spot on! It's absolutely a feel good show!!
Ever since you started this show I've been waiting for this reaction. Did not disappoint.
We came for the tears, and you didn't disappoint.
For a lighthearted and fun show... Battlestar Galactica.
Lmao
Billy is crying he doesn't want to drive that car at them but he can't stop the mind flayer
According to who? That’s an assumption
@@judeless77 Probably not though. Clearly the guy was a dick. But at that point I'm sure he wasnt chill with causing that kind of destruction and wanted to be free of the flayer.
@@judeless77 According to the creators of the story but Idk they might be wrong too
@@judeless77you have no sort of media literacy
Yeah, Billy was clearly a bit unhinged, but he clearly would never do anything that he did in season 3 if he weren't under the influence of the mind flayer. For him it must have been a sort of unwaking nightmare, where any resistance to what the mind flayer wanted resulted in the worst sorts of memories and feelings popping into his head to the point where it was unbearable. That's definitely not canon, but considering season 4, I would say it is a definite possibility.
That Peter Gabriel song was such a top tier selection for the ending of the season
Now...s4!
THERE'S MORE FEEL GOOD ON THE WAY
Ted Lasso is a perfect choice also Smallville.
13:20 anyone else feel a strange tingling when she said that?
"Are you okay?"
"NOOOOO"
😆😆😆
Great reaction as always! I second the calls for reactions to Ted Lasso and The Good Place!
Some thoughts I had at the end of this episode… not spoilers because I knew nothing more than anyone watching this, and I’m not confirming or denying what actually happened, but turn away if you want to avoid speculation about what may have happened…
I’m always amazed at people getting very emotional here over Hopper, because I was 100% certain he wasn’t dead, starting with the scene where they clearly showed the Russian being disintegrated by the explosion, but Hopper was nowhere to be seen! If you don’t show me a death, I don’t believe it. And then of course they had the post-credit saying “not the American”, which I took as confirmation that Hopper was alive. I thought this was a small misstep on the part of the writers, because whether he died or not, they clearly wanted the emotion of his death. But apparently many more people definitely had the emotional reaction to his death from those scenes than I would’ve guessed. (I still found it emotional on behalf of the characters who were grieving, but I wasn’t grieving with them.)
Looking forward to their reaction to Season 4, whether Hopper lives or not! 😜
Yeah, I just rolled my eyes, because it was such a pre-1990s Disney Kids' Movie death. I hated those stupid fake-out deaths when I was a kid, and I'm only marginally more patient with them now that I'm grown.
I guess it's in-period though.
Have you watched The Good Place? Watch The Good Place.
Good Place is fantastic and inventive. Great funny moments 🤣
@@stanleysmith2221 so well written jokes.
Ooooh yea, I was broken when I first saw this finale.
Season 4 is even better…!
Ted Lasso would be amazing! Call The Midwife is also a super underrated show! It’s super wholesome and will make you cry like a baby
Call the Midwife is great!
To add to the popular request, Ted Lasso is easily one of the best feel good shows I’ve watched. So easy to binge, and some pretty great writing and character development
Legit started laughing so hard at 22:00 minutes or so...idk, watching people cry and feel the same that we all felt just gets me LOL
For "feel good show that actually feels good", everyone has already said Ted Lasso and they're not wrong. But to be different I'll say The Detectorists. It's just gentle comedy with nice characters and low stakes. Don't know whether it works for the channel, you might not get many views, but that's OK, watch it on your own and feel better.
I just wanna say that I appreciate you 2 reacting to this show. Its like I'm watching it for the first time again along side you.
TED LASSO WATCH-THROUGH WILL CURE ALL
16:40 the faces of everybody listening to Neverending story. 😀
YOU GUYS ARE SO VALID, THIS EPISODE MAKES ME CRY LIKE A LITTLE B EVERY TIME 😭
I suggest going to a Zen garden before going into Season 4 but you'll love it
highly recommend Derry Girls for funny and relatively short, and The Good Place for humor + feel good
People don’t talk enough about how Lucas has saved el 3 times. In the locker room when he hit Billy with the sling shot, sliced the tentacle off when it grabbed her in the Byers house and now with the first firework
The Umbrella Academy. It's a crazy, funny show. It features people with superhuman abilities; The Good Place. I won't say any more about that other than it's an absolute riotously funny sitcom about four people in the afterlife.
Except the last season when whatherbutt went all evil... No... Not her... I'm talking about whatsherbutt...
The Good Place, Derry Girls, Schitt's Creek, and Community are some of my favorite comfort shows. For a non-comfort show, but really really good (and I don't remember if y'all have already reacted to it) is Haunting of Hill House.
[Weak snarling sounds] at Maple and Arianna just sobbing
Ted Lasso is a master piece
Ted lasso for the ultimate feel good experience
For Heart warming, fluffy, feel good movie recommendations, *Half of It* and for a feel good movie that keeps the theme of "stuff Flea Bag actors are in", I recommend *Handsome Devil*
Good Omens on Prime. It is good vs. evil, but so whimsical and fun. 6 Episodes. Do it.
You guys will LOVE season 4, and absolutely ball your eyes out again in it. It's epic beyond belief, but also super emotional. Like it's by far the season that had my heart racing the most, and me crying the most as well. Also probably the most relatable season too by far, from an emotional standpoint with a bunch of characters
"Hops sucks this season".. EXCUSE ME!? This is one of his best seasons goddamnit. He's a Harrison Ford-type hero and I'm here for it all.
Nah, he sucks in this season. His whole character arc from season 2 (where he learns to stop being so overprotective with Eleven) is put in the dumpster with the whole thing around El dating Mike. And the whole relationship between him and Joyce is really not well put together and feels forced in the worst possible ways. Joyce also don't get invested into it and dude still pushes on and act all jealous, it's just fucking annoying to have him constantly angry for stupid reason throughout most S3.
thankfully, S4 fix all those mistakes.
@@Alienoiable Honestly, he was so awful this season that by season 4, I just didn't care anymore and simply resented the time away from the *good* plotlines.
Casting my votes for The Good Place and Ted Lasso as genuine feel good shows. Both have a few sad moments but not too many. Loving the ST reactions btw
All us 80's kids went nuts when Dustin started singing 😂😂
As others have already said, what the good place! It's so underrated and is one of the only shows that was unpredictable! That or Dirk gently, stars frodo baggins!
yesss Dirk Gently!! Elijah Wood is so good in that show
TED LASSO!!
You want a show that is ACTUALLY feel-good, uplifting, funny, AND amazing? Watch Ted Lasso!
Ted lasso is like your grandmother giving you chicken soup and the best hug every episode. It’s the best show.
"this is bad this is so bad this is almost interstellar bad" 😂
Arrested Development would be fun. Lots of dry humor, sarcasm, misunderstandings... Uplifting? Maybe not. But it is lighthearted.
Honestly 1-3 *does* have some feel good elements at its core, and to me that's why S4 was a bust, not just the chronology & actor availability issues.
23:07 Same feeling when i watch that back in 2019 😭
Stranger Things is sooo good !!!😃❤🖤
25:49 to be fair, everything that's happened in this show is pretty demonic, lmao
These two should watch The Wire for their next "feel-good" show.
I really hope they watch The Wire!
Thus concludes the feelgood portion of the series. That was it. Are you not feelin good?
great reaction.. and the season :)
Feel Good - You need to do "The Good Place".. not seen others do it either...
I love Erica so much
You ladies are cooked for Season 4
Captain America: So… you want a feel good show to watch huh?
Have you heard of this show called “The Boondocks”
Ted Lasso reactions would get a lot of views, but there's a small chance of the show coming off as patronizing instead of feelgood, and the fans will be furious if you're not totally and actively on board with it. they turn from 'chicken soup for the soul' to 'you don't have a soul' on a dime, it's a weird dynamic
Recomendation for new series to watch called Fringe. A Scifi series from the makers of Lost. I think you'll enjoy it, A five season long incredible journey.
That little never ending song break was cute ans Suzie saved their asses knowing that number but if you think about it she delayed them by like 3 minutes singing before giving the number and that 3 minutes theh would have been able to turn this keys 3 minutes before that terminator guy got to them and the gate would have been closed and no one would have died sooo in a way she also got them killed. But had they not called her they would have never gotten the number, i guess we could also say had Murrey known the code in the first place that would have saved them the time of calling Suzie ugh its all just up to the timing of things lol
Ted Lasso for "Feel Good" 1000%!!! Best show ever
Ilysm and I want to see you happy!
The Good Place
Ted Lasso
Community
The Haunting of Hill House (not happy but scary and sad and beautiful and I think you’d like it)
30:06 "Are you ok?" both of them respond nooo! 🤣In fairness this after the recent shogun episode is just a bit much for anybody. The shogun episode enough was upsetting. The piling on of emotions here is just emotional torture. You really kinda needed the Suzie/Dustin song this episode (they actually did it because both of those actors were major broadway performers prior to this show) because without it there would just be consistent high stress through the whole episode.
*actually feel good/lighthearted shows (at least overall but they’re vintage too if you don’t mind or are into that): hammy the hamster, the ferals, scout’s safari & wild at heart & life is wild (basically triplets lol but the first one is my fav), the no 1 ladies detective agency (2008 so not that old), H20: Just Add Water & Mako Mermaids, Ocean Girl, the S Club (7) series (there’s like 5 iirc), mr bean, the worst witch & weirdsister college & the new worst witch & the worst witch more modern version, william shatner’s a twist in the tale, mirror mirror 1 & 2, the 70s house (uploaded by a guy who was in it!), the simple life series, lost in austen, the girl from tomorrow…*
No 1 Ladies Detective Agency!! Also Miss Fisher's !!
I recommend Hilda. It's like the cutest, comfiest, chill show.
Everyone has said it, but yes, Ted Lasso and The Good Place.
I'll just echo what others have said: The Good Place is an excellent feel-good recommendation! 👍
If you want a feel good show, you HAVE to watch Ted Lasso! It's an amazing show and it's only 3 seasons (3 was the final season). If you watch it I WILL be there for it!
"Oh, Satanic Panic, shutup..."
I think season 4 is going to be Arianna's favorite.
FEEL GOOD SHOW: Extraordinary Attorney Woo (I PROMISEEEEEEEEE)
I know Only Murders In The Building doesn't sound like a feel good show. But I think you'd both really enjoy viewing it. And it's far less traumatic than your current viewing schedule.
Feel Good shows: The Good Place. Ted Lasso. Brooklyn 99.
Feel good show. Sure.
Haunting of Hill House.
Also, Evil Dead.
You’re mean but God it’s such a good showwwww they have toooooo
so feel good!
Show recommendations:
"Marvels Agents of SHIELD"
"Timeless"
"Galavant"
Ooh Timeless. I haven't rewatched it since the special aired. Definitely feel good characters and overall vibe although there's some dark shit in there.
My favorite line was Agent Christopher saying something like "we can't wait any longer, you have to go back in time now, the bad guys could be changing history at any moment!" Just the perfect "time travel logic is pretzel shaped" quote hahaha. (Yes yes Jeremy Bearimy is funnier it's fine.)
