We’ve just come back from staying in the apartment! We had a wonderful time and thanks so much for the recommendation. We’ve been going to Dartmouth for over 30 years but didn’t know about those apartments despite them being right in the heart of town. We also had a meal in The Angel which was incredible. Definitely will go again to both. Thanks x

The harbour looks lovely,Idyllic even a breath of fresh air,sometimes we need to change our surroundings even for a few hours,I often feel like coming home even after a day out can feel like Iv'e been on holiday.

It looked a lovely trip. We stayed in Dartmouth for my 40th, several yrs ago 😂 we loved it. We ate at the Angel, I think John Burton-Race owned it and had a tv series about it. The food was excellent then as well. A bit too far for us to travel for a couple of days, as we live in Nottinghamshire, but would love to go back & visit. Xx

Didnt have long there but so beautiful. Had an ice cream at that place too. Your apartment was stunning. Fab location. Food looked delicious. Thank you for sharing xx
I have the steam train trip on my 'to do' list, hopefully for this summer. Loved seeing the steam train go up and down across the river from our window.
We had motor yacht Constance moored outside our house in Falmouth last week too. She must be touring the south coast or visiting the local super yacht boat yard for annual maintenance. Dartmouth is always a lovely destination. Your apartment looked super! x

Dartmouth ❤ one of my favourite places ever! The Angel used to be owned by John Burton-Race (celeb chef back in the day) is it still his? The apartment looked perfect 🤩
It did - we went there for lunch a couple of times when he was running it, it was excellent. The Head Chef is now Elly Wentworth who was on Masterchef The Professionals a few years ago.
Constance is moored up in Falmouth today the Monday 10th .. if you look at the marine Traffic ap , type in the name it will tell you all about the boat …. Equally if you don’t know what a boat is look at the map where you ere and press on the boat and it will tell you
Loved this video,my Aunty passed away last year,but has a lovely house,just a couple of minutes walk from where you were staying.Did you have a parking slot with the apartment. I know Dartmouth gets packed in the summer,so never easy for parking.
So sorry for your loss, what a wonderful place to live, though. Yes, we had allocated parking about five minutes' walk away, which was really good, as you say, parking can be a nightmare there!

Whilst there I continued my family history research and discovered that my ggg grandparents were buried in kingswear churchyard, I’d had no idea! How spooky was that?! Afternoon Caroline,What a wonderful apartment, I love Dartmouth haven't been for a while been on the ferry, peered though the window of the Angel you could see the chef's cooking as it was open plan then, saw John Burton Race he was the owner and chef then, Take care.♥️
We had 5 days in Dartmouth a few years ago- pre lockdown- and it was glorious!! We were very lucky with the weather too, no rain at all during our stay in May. We stayed in a fabulous B&B at the top of those very steep steps you mentioned!😳. Incredible views from the breakfast terrace out over the estuary, but worth the climb for the room and the views- and breakfast was amazing too!😊. We did a river trip during our stay up the river to Totnes! Absolutely beautiful; incredible scenery, Totnes was lovely too. 😊

Caroline, I think you’d enjoy the food at a very quirky restaurant in Kingsbridge. It’s called Wild Artichokes and is run by a lovely lady called Samantha Miller and a chef who has written her own books, and cooked on tv, called Jane Baxter. It’s not a conventional menu, they offer feasting nights and Sunday lunches, with all food served to share at large tables, I can highly recommend it 😊

It is, yes - I think we were lucky as we got it at a bargain price, probably as they wanted to fill it for this season quickly after finishing it.
