I have a autistic grandson who loves everything about the titanic so when you do one I save them for him. Thank you Paul a great one. So sad he lost his life so young x
One of my relatives, Joseph Scarrott survived the sinking. Each lifeboat had a seaman whose job it was to manage and navigate the boat following an emergency. Joseph was one of those and it was his boat next to which the famous shots were fired. But it was not like in the film. In truth, there was a small group of Italian men passengers who did not understand the boats were for women and children first (there was a misunderstanding from the original order, which resulted in women and children only boarding the lifeboats in most cases ). Joseph tried to hold them off with an oar but when a nearby officer saw the struggle, he fired two shots into the water as a warning and order was restored.
Hi Janet, I have a RUclips channel where I've done a few Titanic and other maritime videos. I'm autistic myself and I can relate to your grandson. I'll leave my channel link for your grandson. youtube.com/@historyinsideanutshell?si=zgKThPK6Tl-t7-qW ☺️
Samuel was taken far too early, what a terrible shock it would have been for his mum. It's good to see that he's still being remember. Beautiful flowers for him. Thanks Paul/Lee what a lovely moving tribute Xxx
My great uncle was killed in Harland and Wolff shipyard in 1935, he was a boiler maintenance man and died of a fractured skill when a ladder fell from a height when the rope broke. His brother was killed on the first day of The Somme during WW1 and his other brother drowned in Musgrave Channel right beside the shipyard in 1916 just a month later after going for a swim and suffering from the bends.
Always nice to hear stories of the titanic, the town I live in Colne Lancs has a grave and memorial section to Wallace Hartley who was the senior bandsmen on the titanic he carried on playing the violin with his band as the titanic sank, his grave has a violin sculptured on it, they found his body and a huge funeral procession in the town .
Hi Paul I found this episode extremely moving now we know what happened two years later and Samuel losing his life at a tender age. Always appreciate the hard work in bringing such great content to use armchair viewers.
We hear all about the usual stories regarding Titanic so it's refreshing that you have covered a new perspective, at least to me. Another great video Paul - thank you. Blessings to Samuel.
I love everything about the Titanic and have visited Belfast many times. I never get fed up of visiting the Titanic Belfast museum, can spend the whole day there. Thank you for visiting the victims graves.
So sad that Samuel lost his life too soon working conditions would of been very hazardous back in the day his mother must of been devastated but how lovely that he has flowers on his grave. Thank You for sharing this video and telling his story
The young newspaper boy pictured also has a story worth telling. Besides being remembered as the paperboy with the Titanic sinking headline, his name was Ned Parfett and he grew up to go on as a WWI war hero, serving his country, ready to return home on discharge, and being killed before able to come home while serving. R I P Samuel Scott!
Hi Paul you past my ancestors grave at 7.43 in this cemetery. My grandfather and great grandparents watched the Titanic being launched in Belfast on her maiden voyage. A husband, wife and their child that were their neighbours lost their lives on the Titanic. Sadly other shipbuilders lost their lives building these White Star Line ships in Belfast and they are merely forgotten. I hope you felt a warm welcome in my wee country Norn Iron ⛴️
Thank you ,Paul .I have loved reading watching EVERYTHING to do with RMS TITANIC since I was a child . Rest in peace ,Samuel and all the people that died on that terrible night 💔
Such a sad story life hasn't even started at 15. That ship has taken so many lives from building to sinking. Thanks for sharing this story Paul I found it very interesting but sad love from Holmfirth West Yorkshire 💙 💚
Thank you Paul for telling Samuel’s story I thought it was so sad to be taken so young and I thought of how his parents must have felt to loose him so young. Another video sympathetically bought to us. RIP Samuel.
How sad this one was for the first person at a young age he was another great video really like the way the music is playing when your walking around the graves Paul and with how Lee has done the Camera angles fly around really Amazing Thank you Paul & Lee until the next video is complete All the best To you.
Yet another great video . Thank you Paul . Thank you for showing respect , & sharing the story of a young man that most of us had never heard of . God bless Samuel & Everyone else that lost their lives on the Titanic .....
This is a really moving video. I love the new intro and I like the filming of you walking around. This video was so professionally done.Thank you one of the very best.
Aw great video paul beautiful cemetery Such a sad story about samuel to die so young at 15 years when he should have had his whole life in front of him truly awful and he never got to see titanic sail Im so glad he has a headstone at last bless him R i p samuel 🙏🥀
Its criminal the amount of people that have died because of unscrupulous Employers not making sure of safety proceedures, because it might cost them more money, disgraceful behaviour, poor greed life is cheap to these people.
Paul, Thanks yet again for yet another great episode. I have read about the Titanic since a child. Afraid to say that I had never heard of Samuel. I am so glad that I now know about him through Chanel. Looking forward to the next Titanic episode! Bob
Der arme Kerl, 15 Jahre alt. Aber was soll man da tun. Wieder einmal viel zu jung 😢 er hat hoffentlich Frieden gefunden 🙏🏻. Ich hatte das Video noch einmal in Ruhe ansehen, danke Paul.

Hi Paul , love the videos you are doing on Titanic ( and all your others ) how sad that one so young would lose their life working on the building of it. Bit spooky again spotted my surname on the gravestone behind Samuels. The cemetery doesnt look so well kept as the others youve visited in Ireland, maybe because its so vast.
Belfast cemetery looks to be very old looks like it has a lot of history hidden within it, very interesting snippet of Titanic history also you very aptly portrayed the harsh times in that era Paul very well presented thank you.

Hi Paul I was told that some of the plates cups and sources if not all of them were made at Royal Worcester In Worcestershire. Which is about 12 miles from where I live in Stourport - On - Severn. They also have the cathedral which is about 15,000 years old there are a lot of vaults there. In one vault there is a man with five fingers and one thumb on one hand so he has an extra finger.
Great video as usual Paul. I didn’t know about the poor lad Samuel Joseph Scott until now. My Mum was from County Fermanagh so I should now more history about the Titanic than I do!
