7:20 the use of vocals here is amazing. I was very saddened to see Russel Brower laid off from Blizzard, and I still am, but seeing Grant Kirkhope's work on a Blizzard game fills me with such happiness.
The vocals for this and the last expansion (zin aszhari) were sung by baroque singer Grace Davidson! Her voice is stunning! Also sang "feast of starlight" from the hobbit!
He wasn't laid off, was he? As I understand, he just left because of Blizzard rejigging their audio team and him being displeased with his current position being scrapped as a result.
As much as Shadowland was hated, the Venthyr were one of my favorite people and their quests the most fun of the expansion. The dark humour, sarcasm, moral ambiguity and banalisation of horror made me burst out loud so many times. All the other factions were taking themself so seriously and the Venthyr were just vibing in the face of true horror. Also Denathrius most charismatic vilan in ages. Kind of like Sephiroth, the bad guy but just so badass you can't help yourself to admire him.
totally agree , music gives emotion on some pieces of art , this one does , clearly one of the best masterpiece i ever seen on this game , shout out to the team

Same :D I've planned to go with Ardenweald... And then I heard this piece and I was like... "Oh.. my... Vampire!" I've waited for a soundtrack like this since Gilneas :D And here we have it :3
It's not actually a harpsichord, it's a Hammered Dulcimer. Pretty similar in style, but it's a great melody. Just in case you want to look up more music that sounds similar!
@Danish Bukhari ikr I have 1 main and the rest of my characters are max levels with shitty gear because I dont play them much. I dont understand how some people gear up all 20 million of their characters lol
22:54 This track was playing in Sinfall after my friends, most of whom haven't played retail in 10+ years, and I beat Sire Denathrius for the first time together as a guild. Combined with the overarching storyline of Revendreth, it felt triumphant and awesome. This expansion has been an absolute blast so far.
I don't care if you're in a car with 3 other friends who all play different covenants, no way you don't take that AUX cord and make those homies vibe out to this banger.
The venthyr part of Through the Roof of the World (which I have on repeat since it came out) was incredibly good. Now hearing this I'm getting my mind blown, and I am not even halfway through it. Never payed attention to the WoW OST but it feels like it's the best it's ever been. The art team is truly the best.
I MISS YOU REVENDRETH, all the good memories, mount hunting, covenant callings, unloading anima, mission table, ember court(eww), mirrors, rep grind, and black market auction checking :((((((((((((((( TAKE ME BACK
Say what you will about Shadowlands ( it was awful ) but the music and the aesthetics and the atmosphere in certain zones was SPOT ON. Love coming back to this.
Revendreth was so cool. I also was surprised to see they used so many Romanian names for the venthyr. After all my country is the progenitor for vampire stories. All hail lord Dracula Vlad the impaler. By the way I have 3 cousins named Vlad 😂
Revendreth and the Venthyr were the reason I bought the Shadowlands expansion. I enjoyed these zones, even though modern retail WoW is just not that great imo.
7:15 This is why you're here
you're my hero
Exactly my dude appreciated

YES!
You do read minds. Kudos! 👌🏻
The most important music of the Shadowlands.
Ardenweald for sure

That tune sounds familiar somehow but I cant place it
@@birb7866 same here could be from bloodborne or demonsouls main theme or sum idk sounds like I heard it somewhere before
I would say that rhyme reminds me the part where Dracula has his vampire masquerade ball in Van Helsing

The LK in wow cata login screen music too
Hands down the best theme in Shadowlands. Can't stop enjoying listening to this. True neoclassics
16:52 Damn I love this so much :D
So awesome to see Blizzard hiring Grant Kirkhope this expansion.
Why? What does this "Grant Kirkhope" do of note?

If you deeply care about the lore, no.

I pay a whole lot of attention to the WoW OST (I had notifications on waiting for this) and you’re damn right that it’s the best it’s ever been.
That would be Outland by Ulmen. Second is Wrath by Soule. Ghis might be 3rd place.
I love the waltz style of Revendreth's music. Very Castlevania, which is so fitting.
It's proud, imposing, beautiful, and amazing. I really like the organ and harpsichord.
Gotta say my favorite zone music in Shadowlands, just so brutally beautiful like Eversong Woods.
Best part of Shadowlands.
Nice to see they... *scored* Grant Kirkhope as one of the composers!
“To the good people of Revendreth…”
Ok I'm even more pumped to join the Venthyr now!
It was many years since a video game made me feel at home. Many thanks to Revendreth and my Venthyr siblings

venthyr bringing out pure bangers
what a masterpiece!! i love that
Sadly this music theme was, probably, the ONLY good thing in whole Shadowlands.
So thematically refreshing.
Loving how some pieces sound a bit like something out of Dishonored here!
Blizzard making a BIG POWER MOVE with Kirkhope omg
Mi sire Denathrius, a sus servicios
Maybe its just the nostalgia in my brain. But god damn do I get some Fable vibes. A m a z i n g. Simply stunning music.

Amazing!
What the hell I didn't realise the Banjo Kazooie composer worked on this! :O
This music alone justified the choice of Venthyr
Say what you will about Shadowlands ( it was awful ) but the music and the aesthetics and the atmosphere in certain zones was SPOT ON. Love coming back to this.
Where does this play? I hope it plays in Sinfall, need these bangers in my hub
Grunty’s Lair sounds different than I remember
The only zone in Shadowlands I genuinely liked.
the council of blood music is the best music iv ever heard so far in WOW
I know what campaign I'm joining! VAMPIRES!!! Whooooh!
This is so good
Revendreth was so cool. I also was surprised to see they used so many Romanian names for the venthyr.

You can have mixed results when it comes to WoW, but the music is always top tier, no matter what, even when it sounds cartooney or sily.
EPIC
Do I hear Kuroshitsuji from 18:36? XD :3 I love these songs omg :3

It's like the OSTs from Fullmetal Alchemist and Bloodborne had a love child with WoW.
cool.
What is the song at 19:45 called
Venthyr_j or just Venthyr J.
Does it sound like the alliance/stormwind theme at 8:20 to anyone else? Wonder what’s up with that 👀👀
I think it's reminiscent of the Argent Crusade music, similar tones or the instrument used I guess.
Why not on Apple Music yet
