I started with sister locs but had to fuse my locs together to palm roll due to the loctician not knowing which method to use on my hair texture. Now my parts are all over the place and some aren’t even the same size. However, I personally like the look better than having them in uniform order. I believe it sets me apart from people who get faux locs or have hair added to make their locs longer. You look great I think we are so used to having to have perfect hair that any imperfection gives us anxiety. I honestly didn’t see an angle I didn’t like. 😅😂
She didn’t know what method to use on your hair texture and you still let her do your hair? Everything happens for a reason and I’m sure your hair is beautiful. I agree that her hair is beautiful but you also can’t be bothered by what you see every time you look in the mirror without doing something about it, that’s no fun.
I would be feeling some kinda way, too, sis! Communicate your concerns with your loctician so they can do some repairs.. Then seriously consider transferring to a new loctician for future maintenance. Praying for ya🙏🏽💖
I would start over sis because I don't think you'll ever be satisfied. It would drive me crazy too. So, begin again and enjoy the journey to satisfaction. You have beautiful hair💌
This isn’t me in the video but I agree with you 100%!! It’s a must that we be at peace with what we see in the mirror. And that especially goes for our hair too. 🥰
Ngl, the first time I seriously decided I wanted locs I went to a cousin of mine who has had locs for all the years I've known her, she had them back in school, and she's well in her 40's and also always done hair for a living. The parts are why i didnt even make it back for my first retie... they started curving to the middle to where there was no middle part. 2 years later I started diy micrlocs and it was the best decision choosing to go with retying, micrlocs, and doing it myself because I used to do my braids, ik my head, ik what more important to me, ik if I have any problem areas etc. Parting is NEVER important because I don't plan on taking these out. I need side parts and a MIDDLE part from front to back. That ensures im part follow for especially the front. If she had messed up the back I wouldn't have even argued but not my front. NOPE!
No one’s locs are perfect and we tend to be super hard on ourselves. Even if parts are the same size, doesn’t mean the loc will be the same size. Perfect uniform locs don’t exist because of the different densities and textures on different areas on our head. As far as the different sizes on the hair line, it’s good to have the locs slightly larger on your hairline because that’s where the hair is thinnest and weakest so if the size on hairline matched the size on the thickest part of your head, it could be too skinny for your hairlines density and that would not be viable and the loc could break off. The middle part and side part argument makes sense. You have to let them know the parts you want. I made sure I have a middle part bc that’s what I prefer . At the end of the day, it’s important to love your locs and if you want them a certain way you deserve to get them as close to that as you can. She should restart them if they bother her that badly. She’d probably only have to redo the front part of her head. Some stylists do try to take advantage of clients who don’t know much and they do whatever is easiest rather than what’s best for the client/what the client wants. She’s validated in her concerns.
Your locs are beautiful and they absolutely flatter your face.. the parts are Janky. the long ones may have been short edge locs combined. Im sorry cause I understand when you're not please with your hair. but Trust me if you didnt say a word i wouldnt have been the wiser. they are very pretty
And whoever did your parts like that is SOOOO WRONG for that! To spend all of that time in a loctician's chair, and to spend so much of your money, to end up with, BASIC PARTS, jacked up, is BEYOND, unprofessional. That's all. I wear a side part, but, if I wanted to switch it up w/ a middle part, my middle part is, in fact, "off". I don't stress over it, because a side part has always been my preference. However, I KNOW, that that it is not right, so it does piss me off KNOWING that. So sorry this happened to her.😑😔
I wonder why too. My guess is the person who did her hair knows nothing to very little about loc stability or she would’ve made better decisions when parting. My other guess is she had no idea what she was doing.
@@nicolelocqueen I am sure it is the latter because this just doesn't even look professional based on the various sizes. So sorry for this beautiful sister and I hope someone can fix this for her. There is nothing worse than having a disappointing hairstyle.
You are right, your part is totally off which will cause the rest of your parts off, I'm so sorry. Other than the part being off, your locs look good
But why is her hair beautiful though 🤷🏿♀️🥺🤣🥰Nawl I’m getting locs been researching for 10 years

My middle part off too 😂 I didn’t even realize it
lol.. I felt that! Mine isn’t straight AT ALL. 😂

I agree with you. Her hair is so beautiful, maintenance would be great, not to mention life-changing. Frfr

That’s not me in the video but just wanted to swing by to say I agree!
I would definitely comb them out and go to someone else. Especially if you're not happy with how it looks.
Agreed…but what an emotional blow to have to recover from😏
Looks like she combine two together to make the long ones. Definitely would say something about it
100%
Same issue & also after three years of stress and meds for surgery, has caused my hair to thin SO badly. I to
have to cut them off, unfortunately. 😔
I am so sorry that that happened to you. ❤️
This why I want to comb mines out because of the parts and uneven locs. I have traditional locs
😢
Some smaller than others, no5 constant

I am too. I’m pretty sure the stylist had 2 eyes and could see what she was doing! smh
Hi Nicole, did a certified Sisterloc Consultant pit in your sisterlocks because something is not right
Hi Alana,
She actually has (some form of) microlocs so I doubt it..
Yeah, sooo many things are not right.
Why would they do her parts like this? These locs are nowhere near uniform or close to the same size.
I wonder why too. My guess is the person who did her hair knows nothing to very little about loc stability or she would’ve made better decisions when parting.

It’s a horrible feeling! Smh…
Hoe difficult is it to part the hair. That is a big error.
sigh…
you are so funny
🥰😊💕
