Congratulations on your 8th year loc journey 👏🏽👏🏽 time flies by. Beautiful hair & personality. I'm going on 12 1/2 years and will never go back to perms 😊
Thank you, what a sweet compliment 💞 Time really does fly! Wow 12 years, I’m impressed! I will never relax my hair again either. When God blesses me with children they will never experience relaxers on my watch lol
Thank you for dismissing the so called ugly stage👍🏾 I love all the stages and I’m not a year in until February 2025 ❤ Thanks for showing your journey, very inspiring ✨🌹
This year was my 8th year loc anniversary as well! Congrats girl. I'll be sharing my loc journey update this January. It is so beautiful to look back and see the growth in motion.
I just hit my 8 year loc anniversary and I’m feeling so challenged by my ego. I have some loc envy because my hair is at tailbone length but not all evenly, my hair is layered. Some parts of my hair grows faster than others.
Congratulations on hitting your 8 year mark! ✨💝 Layers can be really nice especially when you curl your locs. Have you thought about doing a light trim to even it out? Check out this video when I trimmed mine, tell me what you think! ruclips.net/video/nDiCaTBMUdQ/видео.html
Congratulations on your 8th yr journey. I've learned a lot from this blog. I'm 2yrs on this journey. It is my 3rd set and last one. Now I understand much better about my hair. It is a journey, a beautiful one. You are so beautiful.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you learned something from this video. Since this is your 3rd set, what have you learned about your hair thus far? I’m sure we can all learn from you! 💓
On my self discovery as a black person, I invested on learning every detail of my being and I found how our hair is extension of ourselves and it's purpose. I've learned to embrace my whole being. We are powerful being, that so many wish to be. I'm truly grateful to have sisters like u, who help us to keep gaining confidence and understanding of the true beauty.
Your locs are beautiful! I’m about 6 months in a doing my absolute best to trust and enjoy the process. The quote you had at the beginning holds true. Looking at this hair journey as another stage of growth and strength. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Congratulations on your 6 month mark! You got this girl, have fun and play around with your style and makeup. You’re gorgeous, let the hair do what it do! ❣️
I REALLY love your hair and actually, I have the same textured locks and length as yours; I tried many things to eliminate the 'friz', but after viewing your hair, it changed my whole perspective of how I feel about my hair; I now, love my hair even more than ever before and had accepted the way it is, friz and all! You are a beautiful person with no shame in your hair that gave me a great sense of acceptance of myself and self-esteem; I enjoyed watching your loc journey and wish you the best on your remaining loc journey; keep up the good work! 👍
Hi Sandra! Your comment really warmed my heart. I’m so glad that you LOVE your hair even more now. You are perfected by the most high and he made no mistakes with your coils and frizz. All the best on your loc journey and thanks for watching 💛
That’s true I’m enjoying my sister Locs journey I would like to post a picture of my locs . Can you tell me how do I post a picture of my journey. I never tried posting anything on RUclips
Question…I know this may sound crazy but if I had locs then decide to remove them… when taking them out, is that the true length? It’s not fake or extension or something? It’s my real hair so it will still be the same length as when in locs? Not sure if I explained what I mean but hopefully someone will understand ❤️
Typically people loose a lot of hair when taking their locs out. Some loose half the length others actually maintain their length. I guess it depends, did I answer your question?
Thank you! Colored locs are so fun, I wanted to do like a ginger redhead color but I’m scared for that reason. Your locs are still young just keep growing it! ❣️
I’m trying but I’m worried about my locs marrying if I go a long time without a retwist(as well as me being too lazy to separate after a wash or I overboard and try to retwist when I’m only trying to separate since im sticky pick about parts) and I can’t go more than 2 or 3 months without a retwist or my hair will break.
@@nattyann hmmm maybe, I never really thought about it since time goes so fast I forget when I had my last one or a remembered and it’s too soon for one but then again my hair doesn’t work like coarse hair does even tho it’s thick
Love your journey! Have you always retwisted your own hair? I am currently 9 months loc'd and will attempt to retwist for the first time on my own. Im nervous because I think ill mess something up but maybe I'm over thinking it.
Hi love! Please don’t be nervous, I had someone retwist me the first couple months and I quickly started doing it on my own. I think the sooner you retwist on your own, the better. You will learn your hair and get faster at doing it. I recommend to twist in the same direction every time.
@@nattyann thank you for that encouragement! I will do my best to retwist in the direction Loctician did but say if I accidentally rerwist a few in the opposite direction, will it effect the locing process? I will be doing it this Friday.
Yeah that’s why I remind everyone that everybody’s journey is different! Keep in mind my hair was long before I started too. How long is your hair now?
Hello 👋 u don’t owe any one pictures or proof of any thing that’s another way to say they might not be real, people kill me just come out and say what u thinking. Your Locs are beautiful period😊
Thank you love! Some people do ask if my locs are real. With the rise of loc extensions and faux locs I can see why. I’m happy to share that mine are 100% natural! Yes, black woman can grow long healthy natural hair when it nurtured and taken care of ❣️❣️❣️

Hello! Do you have issues with lint building up in your locs in the back?
