Mam the reason behind pooja of any new car or house or any other object is to take blessings of God and the thing which is coming in our life gives us prosperity . It's not about milage but ya protection is also a factor. Thankyou for such a lovely video may god bless you ❤️❤️
Love 😍 India. Agree, all you said 100%. Indians are undoubtedly the most gorgeous, kind, generous, giving, and kind people. We will be revisiting India yet again for the 4th. time. Thanks Ivana.
Agree, Indian people, their warmth and hospitality moved me to tears multiple times, and I cannot wait to go again and move there too, if India will have me. 😊🙏♥️
I think by mistake you were born in the Netherlands, but you are supposed to be born in India. The way you adapted yourself to Indian culture and people's insecurities and feelings, is really appreciable. You are destined only for India. This is the purpose of your life. So please take care and live happily and maintain good integrity and Principled/disciplined social status to continue in India. "Trust God but lock the car".
I've probably spent most of my life travelling abroad, was even born in Switzerland. But, I spent six years in India. Currently I live in East Africa, but I miss India so much. My closest friends are Indian, I miss the spontaneous motorcycle road trips. I am sure after a couple years I will settle in India. Watching your videos has made me miss India even more. Makes me sad sometimes. I love India. You seem like an individual who is filled with positive energy! I hope you gain more subscribers! Stay Safe :)
Hi Ivana, as a fellow foreigner and woman living in India, I really admire how well you have settled here all by yourself! I had my Indian husband and family to rely on (and still do!) otherwise I may have felt quite lost... at any rate, I couldn't have found an apartment and started a business and all the other stuff you've done! Would you consider making videos for other foreigners living in India that would help with all the stuff we have to get done... such as your experiences with immigration/government offices/police/filing taxes/emergency services/driving etc.. I'd particularly be interested in learning how to get a PAN card and opening a local bank account, for example... anyway, I'm glad I found your channel! Bengaluru looks nice, I live in the north but hope to visit someday. :)
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'd love to help out with those things but because the processes are so complex I don't feel qualified to get into it. You could connect to an Indian accountant who has experience with foreigner integration and I'm sure they'll be able to help you. Best wishes!

Go girl! Good to know you have defeated your own fears, and risen like the pheonix. Remember, you are perfect. We all have flaws. So never feel disheartened. We have your back.
Simple strategies-(1) learn from mistakes (2) follow your instincts (3) never regret decisions you make (4) stay calm (5) be happy. For pooja (prayers) it's a good idea to do a small prayer, even if you buy a new fridge. You should look into "vastu", which is the Indian science of building and placing objects in particular places in the house. Most south Indian traditional houses and temples are based on this science. Stay safe , be positive.
have to say as an older person and having travelled to a myriad of countries I totally admire your guts to move to india as a single woman. it shows how brainwashed we are in the west that we never think of india as a place to emigrate to but it goes to show we are wrong. The only advice I think I can ever give to someone living abroad is that just be true to yourself and be kind enough to learn and understand. Well, to be honest, you are doing the same exact thing with much love. And this from the heart, that you are a very very good person. You respect and try to learn everything about the country you are in. And also, you remain true to yourself. Such a lovely person you are. Much LOVE to you from an Indian. ❤❤❤ P.S. This is just me giving some advice after seeing a cute person trying to learn our culture. 12:10 You lit the diya and all perfectly. But after you have lit the top part of the sand stick properly, you blow at it to quench the flame to release fragrances. Those fragrances are proven to soothe your mind. But if you are allergic to any such fragrance you can stop lighting a sand stick. You trying to learn and adapt to a foreign culture was cute enough to show your love and respect towards India, or if you want you can continue. Also, it is not necessary to keep a sand stick directly at your desk or in your workplace. Although you can do it if you want there's no harm. But you might have trouble with the smoke in your face. So what you can do is keep it in any corner of the room and after some time the fragrance will cover the whole room and will be as effective as before. 9:59 Did you meet Yashraj Mukhate in India? This guy really looks like him not gonna lie😂😂😂
I live in the US and recently started watching your channel. I don't know about your accent. But you said I "shifted" instead of "moved" that just killed me!!! You are officially an Indian now.
Ppl made fun of you? Wow. How rude. Your message is always clear. That’s the essential part. Short simple and clear for most learners. In your case you are native. UK ppl and Americans frequently misunderstand each other. London vs Newcastle. Amsterdam vs limbus. Great vlogs btw.
We may not all do a full-fledged puja for fridges but it will get a vermilion dot, swastika or Om when it is first brought into the house. Also, we put up bunches of koral (rice still on the stalk) on all our important equipment and utilities including cupboards during the traditional harvest new year.

I have applied the same strategy of "asking questions" to my Dutch colleagues when I have moved to The Netherlands from Bangalore 3 years back. I still ask questions about anything related to the local culture because learning about a different culture and experiencing it is different type of happiness. Another important strategy is to learn the local language. I am still learning Dutch, as it is not very easy to learn Dutch here when Dutch people themselves speak good English. However, ik probeer Nederlands te spreken! :)

It's destiny that you belongs to a great ancient Land called Bharat ( India). With the saree you are looking great and beautiful with happiness. With the positive mind , thoughtand that's why you are always be in cheerful mood. even some of the billionaire have no happiness or successful life. They are more materialistic in nature. Great going , keep it up.
I've lived in 3 foreign countries as an adult, for periods from 2 years to 12 years. Looking back on those experiences since returning to my home country, I'd say that the first 6 to 12 months in a new country are the hardest. The learning curve is just so steep when everything, absolutely everything, is new. You need to give yourself permission to fail and to make mistakes. In short, you need to get comfortable with being uncomfortable for a certain period of time. I guess the strategy is to bear in mind that all moments of frustration are just that, brief moments that will soon pass. Focusing on what you love, as Ivana suggests, is a great way to help them pass more quickly and even to reduce the number of them.
I watching your videos continuesly that videos are show your love 😍, how you like and treated Indians 🇮🇳. we are also love you 💕. Love from india (Tamilnadu). visit India🇮🇳 again and again waiting for your next video 🎥.I ❤️ you so much Ivana. Plz visit South Side
Ivana, you are that person who did impossible things ever! Because you yourself know how difficult and impossible it is to settle in India for a foreigner (except for marrying an Indian). And living with a local is soooo helpful! I lived with a local girl via Couchsurfing in Delhi and during that month I got to know India so well even though that was my first time in the country, I think now I know all the places regarding difference in safety / markets / shopping and other daily staff. And overall, I think adapting in a new country is much easier when you finally move somewhere you've been dreaming all this time. The most important and difficult is to actually get that opportunity to move (a job, some business, whatever)
11:55 actually my car met with two horrible accident in a single month(no one was injured)and today I have received my car after repairing and have just completed Pooja of my car.... 😂What a coincidence
Iva - some parsi family's came to india 🇮🇳 in 1800 something and they mixed in our culture like as we and today we have a gem called Ratan Tata more than indian than a Indian's we feel proud ❤ 💙 💜
Trust I am born in India and I am still confused because here nothing happens as your wish no rules on roads , no queues , but still I feel like civilised mordern human being and most important thing is people help you in a great way and get angry even if you don't thank them but they go crazy even if you don't add ginger their tea
I'm an Indian but if you are from a different region of india and shifting to a different region/part it will be like shifting to new country. Different language, different food, different culture, different values and the list goes on. My hack is to eat like local and try to do things like local. Even if you try it people tend to help you and in sometime you become part of it. I've done that and i think its a good idea to be surrounded by locals then living with someone like yourself. You have no option but to adopt.

This is so incredibly on point!
You are Indian by heart. Love you Di.
You look brilliant in saree.

Wow, you are an inspiration! Just opposite of what you did, I moved to Netherlands in Jan 2018 since then I have been living here.Ik hou van Nederland
You have changed a lot with time good to see that .
So kind and so true!
i like the way you pronounce "them" as "dem"

You are not alone.. subscriber from Bengaluru
Trust I am born in India and I am still confused because here nothing happens as your wish no rules on roads , no queues , but still I feel like civilised mordern human being and most important thing is people help you in a great way and get angry even if you don't thank them but they go crazy even if you don't add ginger their tea
Congratulations dear on crossing 200k subscriber. U deserve much more than that..🤗😊
Thank you so so much sweetheart!
That's great advice!!!
Hy there I wlcm u to Bangalore ❤️ . I just saw 2 videos of yours and subscribed immediately 😀 becoz I just loved the way you are exploring thing's . I would really wish to meet you at least once in Bangalore ❤️❤️.
