- I tried a Hardcore Nuzlocke of Pokemon Black 2 using only Shiny Pokemon! While Black 2 has many good pokemon it also has some really tough battles but it's always fun to see these shiny pokemon in action! Let me know what challenge we should do next!
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. If a pokemon faints its considered dead
2. Can only catch the first unique Shiny encounter on each Route
3. Nickname Pokemon
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

The Metang in Giant Chasm was actually the first shiny i ever encountered. I was 10 and my lead pokémon was a Chandelure with the Flame Body ability. I stood there, helplessly tossing Ultra Balls as i watched my first ever shiny burn itself to death. I cried.

My first ever shiny was a delibird in the giant chasms cave. I was too young to know what a shiny was I did catch it though.

Me thinking "this is so time consuming trying to find the right nature" You would have spent more time getting teppig shinny than I did catching heaps of the same pokemon for the right nature for my whole team, god has granted you next lvl patience
if your lead pokémon has synchronize there’s a 50% chance you will encounter a pokémon that has the same nature, i have a box of rants for this purpose

Shiny Woobat in Unova was my first ever full odds I caught it a year or two ago so it now has a special place in my heart. Luckily for me I already liked the line, and it has great shinies imo lol

This was my first time playing and I wanted a challenge, soI finished Volt White 2 Challenge Mode and yeah it was very hard and then in the post game I finished the Unova Pokedex, caught every Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, Beat Steven, Wallace, and Cynthia, I got all the Eevolutions, and am now challenging the White Tree Tower. After that I fight Hilda and Hilbert the strongest trainers in the game.

commenting @10:05 | i love how emberoar (starter) looks like a part ghost type with the coloring in shiny form, and then the rest of your team has a nice yellow theme. it looks really good overall.
Emboar should've had less special attack and much higher defenses. The base 65 speed is fine because when you look at Emboar, you don't expect it to be fast, but you'd expect it to be tanky, and while the HP backs it up with an enormous base 110 HP, Emboar's base 65 defense and special defense do not. You could easily take 50 points off of Emboar's special attack and put 25 points on each of Emboar's defense stats since Emboar has a better physical move pool anyway, so you'd rather run it as a physical attacker anyway, and that would give Emboar decent base 90 in his defenses, which I feel would've helped make Emboar a lot more viable in competitive. Also, I remember one time I played White 2, I was escorting Bianca and came across a shiny Skorupi, but Bianca ko'd it before I could catch it. I was so mad I ran straight out of Reversal Mountain just so I didn't have to worry about ehr costing me another encounter.

Is it just me that realised that the first 6 shinies were all a yellow-ish colour at some point? I looked through all of the comments and saw nothing pointing this out, I’m up to woobat and I guess that might count because it’s green which is yellow with blue. But am I the only one who noticed that for the first 6

Had both a Shiny Swoobat and Musharna in the black and white games, first legit shinies i ever encountered through regular play even after 4 previous gens and insane amounts of encounters like 5000 hours worth of play at least.

Got a question and i love the video its awesome! So my question is do you fast forward during your hunts? Or do you just use its normal speed? Ive been hunting on my emulator(drastic) on my phone ive managed to get two shinies which is the starter and the pokemon you get from the girl thats at the first gym but in the wild i have not have had any luck yet and ive been fast forwarding it so i dont know if im doing something wrong.
Unova was where i got my first ever shiny! It was pokemon black and i had entered the desert route, tracking down tornadus (or thundurus its one of the two lol) but i accidentally set foot into the deep sand without equipping a repel and immediately got into a wild battle... It was a shiny darumaka. I was on the bus and had to stop myself from freaking out 😂

okay so do you have some sot of thing that automatically runs through a bunch of soft resets for you or do you sit there and reset yourself until you get a shiny starter. I seriously would not have the patience for that
I'm doing a Badge quest run of B2 and I spent DAYS hunting at the ranch and ended up with a shiny.....Liliup. But, I did end up getting a Adamant natured Shiny Sewaddle soon after so it evens out lol.
The adamant Sewaddle is huge!

I would recommend quick balls, if you intend to do another shiny nuzlock. This is because you don’t have to attack the Pokémon you are trying to catch and can just grow the quick ball first turn and have a high chance of catching the Pokémon.
