Hated in the old area that only crit captures will succeed (after reaching the endgame). DLC actually has a chance to catch after three shakes, so waiting for the animation doesn't feel so bad now.

This one was easy because I was using my late game save file so I had herba for sandwhiches but normally I just use outbreaks and it can be time consuming but knowing it'll show up eventually is all I need to keep going 😎
my funniest shiny hunt that i never meant to do was in firered i was soft resettting for a shiny charmander i had probably about 500ish resets gave up then played through it normally then i went and got the dome fossil left it 5 seconds and bam shiny kabuto 1 in 8192 odds i almost spit out my soda when i got it
Well, I unitientiallly did this as I got like 6 shinies in a day (Hattrem, meinfoo, koffing, pikachu, timburr, and swaddle) and just swapped out like 2 of them (lurantis for swaddle and noctowl for timburr) for duplicates.
The Sinnoh starter is not random, it's based off of the starter you chose for Paldea. You got Turtwig which means you chose Fuecoco as your starter. My Sinnoh starter in SV was Piplup because I chose Sprigatito as my starter. But I had the others in Home already so I can get all of them eventually.
I also did this, heres my team: Morgueso the former alpha (Shalpha gliscor) Meganeura of the ancient past (Yanmega from LA) Dripplin the dipplin (caught before the dlc came out as a prep hunt) Catherine the sociable (Quagsire found as soon as i started my lvl 3 sparkling sandvich) Walcc the furret (Caught in an outbreak) Lampião the Chandelure (caught in the end of a sandwich)
