- Finally , the battle we all wanted to see : the strongest trainer in any Pokémon Game , Red !
For the curious , my final team is:
- Dragonite lv.72:
Dragon Dance , Outrage , Earthquake and Stone Edge @ Muscle Band
- Ampharos lv.71:
Thunder Wave , Thunderbolt , Signal Beam and Power Gem @ Focus Sash
- Lapras lv. 71:
Surf , Ice Beam , Rain Dance and Blizzard @ Leftovers
- Togekiss lv.72:
Aura Sphere , Air Slash , Grass Knot and Fly @ Brightpowder
- Typhlosion lv.72 :
Flamethrower , Eruption , Focus Blast and Rock Climb @ Focus Band
- Gengar lv. 72:
Sludge Bomb , Shadow Ball , Energy Ball and Psychic @ Focus Sash
About the battle...
- Pikachu: Like I was expecting , Volt Tackle took a huge dent of Dragonite's health , specially since it's holding a Light Ball . I was praying that one Dragon Dance was enough to outspeed it , and luckily it was . One Earthquake solved the question , specially since Pikachu's defensive stats are pretty weak .
- Lapras: I was afraid of it coming next , because due to Hail Blizzard is 100% effective , which means that Lapras' STAB Blizzard would kill a good chunk of my team . Even with that , I decided to take a shot at Stone Edge to see if was enough . Result: Lapras OHKO'ed by Dragonite pretty easily :D
- Snorlax: Possibly the most troubling of Red's Pokémon is Snorlax , with it's huge Attack stat and moves like Giga Impact and Crunch . Since Dragonite was already dying , I decided to Outrage the fat Pokémon . It didn't kill Snorlax in one attempt like I predicted , but thankfully Hail helped me to take this heavy thread of the way .
- Charizard: After Dragonite faints , I decided to send Ampharos because it could deal with both Blastoise or Charizard . The fire Pokémon came first: Ampharos survived a Flare Blitz , Charizard took recoil damage , and one Power Gem was enough to end this show .
- Venusaur: I could have switched right away when Venusaur came out , but since I had two Pokémon with Grass moves (one being Grass Knot) , I decided to take a shot and see if Signal Beam could do some damage . Failed miserably , due to Venusaur's Sludge Bomb . I then sent Typhlosion , which outspeeded Venusaur pretty easily and knocked it out with one Eruption .
- Blastoise: The last Pokémon used by Red was the Water tank Blastoise . I knew I couldn't do nothing with Typhlosion against it , so a strategical switch was required . I didn't know which should I send , though: Gengar or Togekiss . I ended up sending Gengar , and thankfully Blastoise used Focus Blast instead of Hydro Cannon . Two Energy Ball's were enough to finish this battle .
As a conclusion , this was a pretty entertaining game to play , and this battle was by far the most exciting . Red vs. Red , and I was the victorious one ... I'm the better Red , yeah :D
Now , I'll go on vacation for a week , so I won't be starting a new playthrough until the 29th of this month .

Oh, it all makes sense now. Why you only fight 1 Snorlax in HGSS in the wild. Red caught the other 1. Why I never realized this, I'll never know.

@@gopherman2014 it's a theory bc in Pokémon Red / Blue there are only 2 Snorlax. Now there is just 1 and Red has 1 too.

This is my favorite battle in all of Pokemon. Red doesn't speak (others give entire righteous speeches), it takes place on top of a huge mountain, and all you hear is the wind and your footsteps as you approach the beast.
Red can speak, he just thinks the words are unnecessary

So when red was defeated he just blacked out like how you do when you run out of Pokemon. He's probably at the Pokemon center right now. That's why he's gone xD The theories are wrong lol he didn't just vanish because he was a ghost and he's not dead he literally just blacked out how you do when you loose a battle. Because red is just the protagonist from the first game.

Mt. Everest seems a LITTLE extreme.

You can't fight yourself in Red/Blue/Yellow/FireRed/LeafGreen. Though you can fight him in LG Pikachu and Eevee

I remember first finding Red and freaking out a little and I had confidence I would beat him. After I sent my lvl. 63 Typhlosion and saw that level 88 Pikachu I just took that L gracefully. Eventually I came back though 😅
Red is not dead, As you can see we never talked in all PokeMon games. And red is a "trainer" So that means he doesn't talk. He even blacks out just like a normal "Trainer". Us trainers are invincible.. So that means red is invincible, Us trainers don't come back home ever. And red is a normal trainer. We don't talk either in the game. Prove me if i am wrong but i don't care..

If this battle and the music didn't give you goosebumps at 4AM when you were a kid, then idk what will.
I have a very find memory of this battle from way back in the day. Long story short, there was this one time when I had played through the entirety of SoulSilver with just my Feraligatr, and I made it all the way to Red before his Pikachu put a swift end to everything I had accomplished. I can't remember the details, as this was really, really far back for me. All I can remember is that Feraligatr influenced me in ways that no other Pokémon have, despite not even growing up with the original Generation 2 games.

Laughing because Snorlax and Lapras have so much health, that when they are hit with a super effective move, you can fall asleep for an hour, wake up and still see their health bar depleting lol

I love how Red remains the only trainer in the Gen II remakes to utilize the Pokeball battle transition from the original games.

GameCastX1 Red is overrated as hell, we need more than just _one_ final battle. I'd much rather face Steven in Emerald than Red. Red is good for the final battle in the Johto games; but anymore than that would get really stale.

I remember back in 2010, i was 9 and i was playing ss on my ds, then my cousin told me that moltres is now in mt. silver, and i could capture it, but also there's something else on mt silver... then i was exploring that mountain, captured moltres and searching for that ''something else'' on the top of the mountain, and then i saw a random fisherman in the top of the mt. silver, i asked my cousin what the hell was that, and then he said, '' well, good luck on battling red '' suddenly, everything made sense, that was red, the protagonist of fr/lg, i talked to him, he said nothing, and the most difficult battle i ever had started... my team was:

In pokemon x there should be a tournament of champions. So like the trainers from past games that beat the champions in their region. Will be competitors. And like only after you beat the champion in kalos. You can attend it too. Some of competitors:

What I find funny is Barry is the second most powerful trainer of all, most powerful rival (as in someone you can’t play as in any games). Barry’s Pokémon become in the level 80 range in Pokémon platinum if you beat the elite 4 enough times. Unless I’m forgetting anyone else (not including red, he’s a playable character in red, blue, fire red, and leaf green)

people say red is easy but you have to plan an entire team just to counter his (and if your doing nuzlocke and you didn't prepare you lose your team)
Snorlax is hit by "what comes around goes around" It's super effective!
The mega battle has gotten better since Generation II, but the movesets of the opponents still need better moves.

I didn't train because I wanted a challenge in this battle . It was a bit easier than I though , but I still enjoyed it a lot .

Always the highest leveled opponent, always will be the best secret final battle.
I beat red with level 55-60 pokemon using max revives, revives, full restores, and potions while also using lugia's pressure ability to stall out his final pokemon into struggle. Didn't have to grind up at all, wish I would've recorded it!

I remember playing Pokemon HeartGold a long long time ago but the game that I had is long gone now and I don't think I'm ever going to get another one anytime soon it's gone maybe even forever I wish you can still be here with me today there was so much more I could have been doing onto it so much more so much more when I was still back in school when I was about 13 to 14 I still wish I could have had gone to the Pokemon championship games but now my chances of going to the Pokemon championship video game tournament is over 😔👍
