I saw people on TikTok cleaning their grout and tile with toilet bowl cleaner. My Mudroom needed lots of help that a mop couldn't handle, so I thought I would try it! It was a bit stinky, but it was worth it! Most notably was the tile itself that had black dirt trapped in the grooves. Overall, my results were positive! 8/10 would recommend!

Next time try Lysol peroxide cleaner I actually googled it is actually recommended for it. If you use the Clorox or Lysol toilet bowl cleaner for a long period of time it eats up the cement by or you can just use peroxide by yourself that works too but you did amazing job.

I have similar tile, a little more gray with a light gray grout. I use the bleach pen once a year. I leave it on overnight and the results are amazing. The tile will lighten back to the original color.
I just did mine with baking soda and peroxide mixture and it worked fabulous

Try grout renew at Home Depot. The bottle is less then 20 bucks and you can do a whole house over 2000sqft
Toilet cleaner works great on my tub too (the Lysol in the black bottle if you have hard water).
I used mine in the tub after! Worked great! I wanted to try the Lysol one, but my store was sold out! I will do that next time!

I used the Walmart brand with bleach. My Grout lines were black. After I left it sit for 20 minutes they are now tan. The tile is even cleaner. Thanks for the tip

This is great but next time I recommend using a old tooth brush and brushing it. It will come out cleaner 😁

@@seeelise I had the exact same problem with my grout and the bristles on a toothbrush are way too soft. The results were night and day.
If you want a really impressive grout clean, try using Lysol Power toilet bowl cleaner. But be warned that it smell _awful_

Hi, I just added new tile in my bathroom, the guy who did the work left botches of grout all over the tiles.. do you recommend this method to remove it?
Bummer! How frustrating! I don’t think this is strong enough for that. They do sell grout haze remover at hardware stores that might be your best bet. Let us know what works!!
Be careful using toilet bowl cleaner on anything but the toilet. It’s way too powerful and reeks havoc on your grout❤️
I agree, I did this and the grout did look great BUT I had actually REMOVED GROUT. It contains hydroclauric acid, not good, especially if people don't read the warning on the label
Lysol power TBC works way better
This was during lockdown and Lysol products were all sold out by me in Colorado. I will try that one next time!
