    Love this video, can I ask, do Magpie only have 4 types of glitter? Metallic, iridescent, holographic and multi mix. Is that right?

    Lol I just love how you do things. You are the reason I got magpie glitters and I need some scatter crystals.

    loved this video - thank you for sharing. I feel like it would be really nice for subtle accent nails using the same colours but different methods x

    This is a great post! Beautiful swatches of course because duh magpie glitters! I have a few questions.... firstly, can you use the burnishing method with regular polish and a thin layer of foil glue? Secondly, I went to get brushes, but none were listed at magpie. For the burnishing brush if I want to get it elsewhere what do I look for? Thanks in advance for responding!

      With nail polish I would suggest sprinkling as it's easier but yes foil glue would also work. And the brushes are back in stock now. Just keep an eye out for items out of stock as they always come back in soon.

      +NonaPhilippa thanks! I guess I 'll have to get some gel polish so that I can try the burnishing method.

    How do you harvest the "waste"? I usually apply it over a sheet of regular paper I put a fold in ahead of time and then I can just pour the "drop off" back into the vial. No scooping!

      People do do that yes I don't generally sprinkle.

    I just loooove that burnishing method. I need to get a led light because i don't think I would be able to get the burnish look without the gel polish sticky layer.

      LovinmeNatural Chelle try a base coat or clear coat that dries a little rubbery (ex. yellow stopper).. or don't let it completely dry. gel is easier though.

    really nice video you are always so informative and very helpful as well as talented. I am also curious of your beautiful rockstar bling nails. how did you make them and how will you remove them. you, sarahr , ldnails, and simpilyintomynails all rock.

    like you i love both looks of the nails, but when your just sprinkling it over what do you do with the glitter on the tissue, as it looks like a lot of wastage

    Holographic glitters sprinkled are "scattered" holographic and the burnished is more "linear" holographic.

      Yes you can use them with all mediums and for nail polish I would do the sprinkling method

    I always have the problem when I try to burnish ( I'm using a really fluffy soft brush, no pressure and the tackylayer of my gel is pretty sticky too) whole parts of the glitter will come off and reveal the gel under it..

    • @NonaPhilippa
      @NonaPhilippa  8 лет назад +1

      +DidiRockabella my first thought that you might be burnishing too much and actually rubbing the glitter off.

    • @DidiRockabella
      @DidiRockabella 8 лет назад

      +NonaPhilippa I tried even just like ' dusting' the glitter off.. maybe it's just hating me 😒

    • @NonaPhilippa
      @NonaPhilippa  8 лет назад

      +DidiRockabella the other thing is it could be the gel you're using not curing properly so the gel is making the brush wet so the glitter isn't sticking to the gel but to the brush.

    • @NonaPhilippa
      @NonaPhilippa  8 лет назад

      +DidiRockabella as I've had it before where the gel hasn't cured properly so the glitter just doesn't stick to it but to the brush.

    • @DidiRockabella
      @DidiRockabella 8 лет назад

      +NonaPhilippa that's a possibility.. I always have glitter sticking and clumping in my brush.. maybe I'll try another gel.. thanks for the advice! :)
