    The problem is, Lance HAD enough distance to adjust, but he wasn’t paying attention to his front car. If he was just very close to Daniel at the first place and couldn’t avoid the sudden breaking no matter what, it is absolutely normal incident, sadly that’s not the case.

      No, I don't think he was expecting a sudden stoppage on track. In most cases it would be considered erratic driving. His teammate basically did the same thing and probably only avoided it because he had more distance to the ferrari and had soft tires which are warmer and would brake better.

    Technically, Hulkenberg should not have been allowed to go through. Stroll and Ric may have been “crashing” but neither left the track over the white lines and Ric is within 5 car lengths of the McLaren infront at the moment Hulk goes down the inside. So Ric hasn’t slowed considerably which is one of the rules that permits cars behind overtaking under SC. So if Ric choose to take that wide slower line voluntarily (and there was no contact with Stroll) the drivers behind would have to stay behind. So why does Hulk get to overtake? Just because two cars touch? That makes little sense. Yes Hulk is avoiding a crash - and safety first is key - but really Daniel should have been allowed to take the position back, and the race director should have communicated this to RB Cash App. I’m yet to hear anyone refute this line of argument.

      Yeah. This. Asides from everything else afterwards, the fact that he plowed right under DR's rear end and launched it in the air shows a complete lack of attention to the immediate surroundings that could affect him. DR had less space just before the concertina started and just managed to brush the back of Piastri's car. Probably wouldn't have damaged it or even been felt by him. Alonso had more space, and reacted quicker than Stroll when he saw his space closing quicker than expected. He also turned to avoid on the outside. I get Alonso looking forward, cos the car 3-4 ahead in the corner is the leader that is making the decision on when to go. All in all, the X factor was Alonso doing what Stroll would do seconds later further ahead, he managed to break, nobody could overtake without collisions so a single file formed, Stroll then left a gap in front so he could look ahead of the pack like Alonso did (even if there it was thanks to Sainz) and he collided.. only difference between the start and end is that Sainz wasn't breaking as hard as Ricciardo so no incident and the trailers couldn't overtake like Hulk did. Both Astons did the same ultimately.

    • @quentinhirschfeld9382
      @quentinhirschfeld9382 14 дней назад +2

      The difference is that Alonso has the required awareness of an F1 driver and reacted, Stroll was only interested in the apex and started braking when he was already striking Ricciardo.
      Not the same man, STOP NOT HOLDING HIM ACCOUNTABLE, Stroll has a habit of creating bizarre incidents due to a clear incompetence in wheel to wheel.

    The main big point is, Fernando did lock up, he was looking at the race leader but, he had a bigger gap between him and Carlos, big enough to make changes suddenly but, Stroll was watching the corner when he literally had smaller gap between Daniel and him. You could say that Daniel could have tapped Oscar but, it would have been a small love tap rather than Shoving below the car like Lance did. You can't put the blame on Alonso because, there was no incidents and almost no changes. Nico shows how you should react when someone in front of you stops suddenly. It's fully on Stroll.

    I don't even get why Stroll at his position was looking at leaders, in my racing experience (limited at national level only) it makes sense to watch next 3-5 cars at most, whatever leaders do, you will rather depend on what your direct opponents do, especially if you want to exploit any mistake on their side. It's not like if the Max would push hard out of that corner, that the rest of the cars would straight accelerate and Stroll would be able to turn there at 250km/h, it was slow turn ahead anyway.
