- We've been traveling full-time for almost 2 years now. It's a dream come true in a lot of ways but it doesn't come without its difficulties. A lot of content creators are struggling with burnout and we're no different.
It's not easy to explain how we're feeling and it might seem insane that some small things can really get to us. So to better explain ourselves we've come up with an analogy called the travel fatigue hourglass.
We really don't want this video to seem like we're complaining, we just want to be completely transparent!

I just stumbled across your channel and am so grateful that I did. My fiance and I have been traveling full time for the past 8 months in Asia and are feeling a bit burnt out, nearly to the point of cutting our plan of one year short. Im actually waiting to board a plane from Japan back to the US as i write this.
The decision fatigue is so accurate! Especially when there is a language barrier. Its comforting to know that we aren't alone. This topic isn't something that is generally well recieved, as it's not relatable for many. So thanks for posting and being genuine.

After reading all the wonderful comments that these lovely people have taken the time to actually comment on your vlogs, I didn’t realise how many of you young ones are out exploring the world & doing what you do. I know first hand how hard you both worked & saved & planned to go on this adventure. Just remember whenever things take a turn, look at what you’ve accomplished. Decision fatigue is a real thing! I think you guys seem to have a better balance this year at least by doing guided tours and stays to help minimise how much you have to plan.
VERY well said you guys! This completely relatable for us as well. Full-time travel, RUclips, and all the ups and downs along the way is a rollercoaster. There are a ton of positives but it's ok to recognize the hard times too.Hope you guys get to recharge and do what you need for a good head space , love y'all!

I'm someone who only discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago but has been relentlessly bingeing your videos ever since. I've finally caught up to here. Please, NEVER feel that you cant have a bit of a public vent on the days when things turn to shyte. . So many travel vlogs don't. Noone surely can ever think that every day is sunshine and lollipops as some channels portray.

Totally get this feeling! And it's important to talk about because there's so many videos and photos online showing travel as all sunshine and rainbows. But full-time travel definitely isn't for everyone... and even those of us that it is for get TIRED of it at times. All your feelings are very valid and you explained it so well with your analogy. There's so much more to travel (and RUclips) than just the amazing experiences. But you guys are doing great and making amazing videos! So take some time to rest and recharge and keep at it! We're rooting for you :)

The hour glass idea is brilliant, cannot agree with all of this more! Sometimes it can feel like weeks of needing down time to regenerate yourself, which doesn't quite jive when you feel like you also need to be out "exploring". The decision fatigue is real, thanks guys!

Thanks for sharing this. We're in the same boat at the moment. Sometimes it's hard when you are constantly planning for the next location, and it feels like you can't even enjoy the place you're in right now. We're tired. I remember hearing people talk about burnout before we left on this adventure 18 months ago, but I don't think we took it as seriously as we should have.
We just found tickets to go home for Christmas. I'm hoping this will help us recharge before setting out again. We're probably heading to South America, and the last part of your video really got me excited about that! Thanks again for an honest video!

It's funny you mentioned a cruise from America to Australia. We're taking our longest trip next spring, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam for 6 weeks. We decided the best way to get back to America is a 31 day cruise from Brisbane to Seattle. We can't wait!

I AGREE ABOUT BATHS! Most cruise ships don’t have them (in the regular cabins anyway) and when I’m away I miss baths so much. 😂😂

We left Perth in May and have been travelling Europe since then in our motorhome. My husband has definitely struggled with aspects of full time travel more than I have and I understand all of the ‘negatives’ you’ve outlined. We have to remind ourselves that it’s just a shitty moment or day and tomorrow, or even by the afternoon, it will all come right. It’s so easy to fall into the feeling of the moment and feeling like packing it up and just wanting to go home. We regularly remind ourselves to choose our attitude but some days we just have to go to bed early and wake up to a fresh morning. So as someone in a similar situation, I emphasise, I support and I hear you. We wish you both happy (mostly 😉) future travels ❤
Woah! Motorhome in Europe sounds like such a great adventure! I guess it really doesn't matter what kind of trip your on, everyone seems to get this travel fatigue after a while!

I get it. We missed a bus because of language issues, our credit card went fraud, I lost my Fitbit watch, and got sick. All these things make the process harder but slowing down travel helps.

They’re all real problems! Decision fatigue is hard - the number of times we went to Lawsons and Family Mart in Japan because working out dinner options was too hard!!😂 Any plans to do a packing video? I’d love to know what you’ve ditched along the way and what you’ve picked up to make long term travel easier.

Based on how awesome Jordan and Emily's work is, I'm pretty sure they ARE professional video editors. But there's no shortage of other travel vloggers who might benefit from your service.
@@ositoberry3930 i would never look down on their work. They might be video editors, and their videos are indeed well made. However, the reason for the need of a video editor, could be that they need more time for themselves or to be free to film new content. Takes time to edit a nice video. As for other travel vloggers, they don't have the quality or consistency to be this active or even reply. I was sure that Emily and Jordan would reply!
