27:05 Oh, I’m so glad your video was on my recommended list of videos! I lived in Tottori for 13 years. It was my first assignment to work in Japan and you passed my former school where I worked for 9 years! (Time stamp on comment) It was an all girls’ high school back then and it’s so exciting to see how it’s changed! The Bunka Kaikan that you passed was where the school held my farewell party. Sooooo many wonderful memories! Thank you so much for your lovely video which captured all the beauty and simplicity of Tottori City. 🥰It’s been way too long since I’ve been back ~your video has filled me with nostalgia and happiness! Thanks again!
That was a lovely walk, Shinichi--very quiet and peaceful. I enjoy empty streets but i understand how odd that may feel in contrast to Tokyo. Thank you for taking us on a tour of Tottori's city center. I really enjoy the videos about less-visited locations. I'm _so_ sorry to hear that one of your faithful, hardworking, and treasured moderators has passed away.💔 As you say, that _is_ life, and yet the world always feels diminished by the loss of a kind and loving person. Prayers fly up for her, and for all who knew and cared for her--you and Satoshi included.🙏
This city reminds me of the country of Laos. Laos is a low populated country with tropical climate. It is very quiet and you barely see any vehicles on the streets when you're outdoors. I was in Luang Prabang, a UNESCO heritage town. I like the French colonial architecture there.
@@OS253 The similarity you find is very interesting!😊 I know something of the topography, climate, culture, and politics of Laos but have never actually been there. I wouldn't have expected the cities to be quiet. I'd like to see the French Colonial architecture. I can imagine that the French influence is quite pronounced after 60 years of presence in Laos.
These types of videos where you're just kind of walking around showing us different areas of Japan like city centers and shops and local neighborhoods and parks where you are narrating and telling us about everything are my absolute favorite! I feel like I actually get to explore these places with you. Thank you so much for doing them! Also this one is particularly fun because it almost has an apocalyptic feel to it I guess because there's so few people around and so many shops are closed down. It almost feels like a different timeline than our current reality. Very interesting. Thank you Shinichi and I'm very sad to hear about the passing of one of your moderators. R.I.P. ❤️
There is something about Japan that calms me down, there's something serene that you don't find in the quietest place in my country. I love these kinds of videos.
It just amazes me how much trust Japanese people have in Japan. You will never have unmanned merchandise in America or other parts of the world. Everything will get stolen or vandalized.
Its the culture and accountability. It SHOULD be like this everywhere. Unfortunately politics, greed, capitalism ruin america. Divide between rich and poor makes it to where the distrust is so deep rooted and will likely never be fixed and the racial divide in america also plays a prominent role.
Thank you for taking us along with your travels and walks. Your video content are relaxing, as well as informative. Strees-free content like yours is what I need these days. 😊
Thanks for taking us on a relaxing and lovely walk. Like seeing the older style of shops and buildings. The Temple was beautiful especially the gardens inside and the walk along the riverbank was peaceful. My condolences to the passing of one of your Moderators. RIP 🙏.
I'm devastated to hear that one of the wonderful moderators has passed away! Chatting with them during live streams and premieres is always such a highlight. I've been unlucky with timing lately and missed some videos, so I had no idea. That is so, so sad 💔
Shinichi, thanks for the walking tour! Wow, looks like most of the population has moved away. We have hundreds of cities and towns in the USA that similiar thing has happened. I am glad to see the streets are clean and crime is non existant.
Was a nice walk shinichi!! I do remember when u guys were there last time!!! 👍🏻 Wow and them old nike air max runners are over 30 years old on display!😮👍🏻 Sorry to hear about the sad news about the lady passing away!!! 🙏🏼
Shinichi, another thing I just thought of, there are no 7-11, Family or Lawson convenience stores. Here in my neighborhood in Okinawa, we have 3 convienience stores within walking distance and they are building 2 more!
That was amazing. You are an excellent guide. So sad to hear of your friend. People like this add so much to our life. Looking forward to joining your next walk ... :)
Thanks for showing this! Me and partner have thought of going to this place in May. But not sure if there are enough sights or activities for us to do there.
Thank you for visiting this city. I love big cities but they're always too crowded for me. This one seems perfect although if the smaller population means the city is dying, I hope it gets crowded very soon.
Please go to Yonago! I would love to see the train station. I always wonder if the French coffee shop is still there across from the station. I miss Japan so much.
Dear Sinichi 🙏🏼 Soul family never ends, they'll always guide and support us from above . These are days of tremendous loss in the world , we hold in our hearts the truth: love is a pure form of eternal energy and it's where we came from and which we belong to ~
Thank you for the video. I was sad to see what was going on in the Tottori downtown. You made a comment that it reminded you of an old US western town. Well a lot of those turned into ghost towns. Is it that the population of Tottori is very elderly and they don't do restaurants annd bars and fashion stores? In the US there are plenty of examples. People leave, they have everything delivered, it makes for ghost towns....
The 2nd bridge is decorated with Stars of David ✡️. Does that design mean something in Japan, other than being a Jewish symbol, or does that bridge have religious significance?

Same! I am loving this. I’ll never get to see it myself so I love these videos!
It's pretty surreal to see a city be so quiet and not much walkers. Keep on walking Shinichi! Great videos and insights on these unseen cities.👍🏾🤠
weather looks great😎☀

How beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I love your videos 🥰💖 Keep on sharing 🥰💖🙏
It just amazes me how much trust Japanese people have in Japan. You will never have unmanned merchandise in America or other parts of the world. Everything will get stolen or vandalized.
Their trust is in Japanese people who have been brought up in the Japanese monoculture. That’s why they trust each other so much.
I was thinking this too! How nice it would be to live where people are so respectful!
Because they are a high quality monoculture.
Its the culture and accountability. It SHOULD be like this everywhere. Unfortunately politics, greed, capitalism ruin america. Divide between rich and poor makes it to where the distrust is so deep rooted and will likely never be fixed and the racial divide in america also plays a prominent role.
Japan doesn't promote diversity like the US n Europe do. That's why it's super safe in Japan
What a delightful city, that looks like a lovely place for a relaxing walk.

Looks like a very peaceful little town. Lovely.
Thanks for walking these streets. I would never know otherwise of another interesting place in Japan.
Thank you for this! I love Tottori and I am hoping to move there, this video is the perfect immersion to feel like I'm there before I'm there!
beautiful walk
Thank you for filming your adventure for us, it is so pleasant to visit these places with you!

So sad about Lady Murasaki. I know that you and Satoshi were a very happy part of her life ❤
The Kimono's are gorgeous.

Thanks for revealing the scenes available in Tottori. My extended family is from Yonago within Tottori…

For me Prefecture Tottori is a Place you have to visit in your life 🐦🏯⛩️
Tottori kota yang bersih, rapi tetapi sangat sepi
Thanks for showing this! Me and partner have thought of going to this place in May. But not sure if there are enough sights or activities for us to do there.

Great video. What equipment did you use to record?
Such a neat little city... i plan to go to Hokuei when i visit Japan the next time. ;-)
Awesome job bro
Do more walk around like this please. Ps, have you been walking in the bike lane? Is that what the yellow line is?
Nice, sympathic, entertaining. But... missing Satoshi... Best regards
a vending machine with insect snacks. that's a first for me. i mean, who would've thought?
Insects really shouldn’t be the food of the future.
Empty shops are so so sad

That's a real shocking business situation for the main shopping street for the prefectural capital. I bet things are hopping over at the Aeon Mall...
Great place to film movies or shows?!
