Yes! I kept buying different toys that would get ignored, but then I brought home some fast food and looked at the bag and thought, my guinea pig could fit in that! So I put it in her cage on its side so she could just walk into it and put some hay in it to see what she would do. She lived in that bag for like 3 days before the bottom fell apart from pee. She was obsessed! It was like setting up a pillow fort for kids.

Great ideas Julia. My girls had their first afternoon out on the grass so had their old half clay pot and home made slate hidies with blankets and were so much more lively and interested.

I have treat balls like yours! I actually put the pigs' pellet food in them sometimes, and then dump out whatever's left at the end of the day to make sure they have a chance to eat it. Usually not much is left now that the pigs have figured the treat balls out, though.
Thank you for the liner idea! One of my piggies has a special fondness of chewing fabric-hideys, NO MATTER what else I offer, so I have been struggling to find cuddly things that will not be eaten! Just rolling up a liner.. just never crossed my mind!

They are so cute! I had 2 guinea pigs when I was so little but they both died.
I can't claim patent of any of these games, they were "invented" by my 2 pigs: (1) drop the rattan/twig balls into the round ceramic bowls (2) drag the hay leaf (hay not divided almost looks like a thick mat) around the cage (3) Toss and jump (usually sleep) upon the felt/material hidies (4) clanking small aluminum bowls on sides of the cage and the oldie but goodie (5) Turn the twig tunnel upside down and sleep in it.
They are SO cute
My son has watched this video and tried out most of the things with our pigs.

This video was so much fun! I love how they all showed their different personalities! I wish mine were as tame! I have learned a lot from you! Thank you 🙏🏻! Off topic, what kind of hay do you use? I usually get Timothy Hay, but I have tried orchard hay as well. The last Timothy hay I bought has a lot of brown hay in it and understandably my piggies won’t eat it. Should I use the orchard hay instead?
One more thing, create a maze for gps. they love to explore for food.
How do you keep the bathmats clean???
I try so hard to get rid of all the fur and other stuff inside but the amount of dirt still inside after washing is shocking😢
