The people who were there to help get that Limo up the hill were phenomenal. Rory spotting made it happen easily. How many people would drive another rig down hill to catch that limo Inca's it started rolling down the hill.. Only one. Hats off to Rory Irish.

I totally agree for sure!!! I actually said a really big thanks to Owen in one of Robbys last video or it might have been Owens video!!! Can’t remember but I definitely thanked him a bunch and told him it was the best way for him to show off all his skills and that is absolutely what he did!!! Awesome job once again Owen!!! I definitely hope that Robby thanked you a bunch also but I do no that he gets super busy and can forget things!!! Lol!! Awesome video Robby and remember buddy keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!!
This video is incredible. The change of pace from shop sillineess and false bravado. To actually seeing Robby being vulnerable and scared and nervous. Only for his friends and mentors to support him all the way through this terrifying challenge. To be surrounded by so many positive people is such a blessing. Not to mention the editing was so thrilling and breathtaking. This is a jumbled mess of thoughts, but I'm beyond impressed by this video and everyone that made all of it possible.

@@RobbyLayton I told you that you were right that it wasn't very nice and I said I was sorry! Will you forgive me? I ask you to go back and look at the comments you made about HillBilly and ask yourself if that is the kind of friend you want? How would you like it if Rory, Matt, Chad, and Paul were unconcerned about where you were. See I was able to look at myself and say yes I messed up that is humbling my self, can you self examine and so the same?
I don't know what the guy said that got Robbie so hot and I'm not defending him but I'll say this.
I commented on this already, but I'm going to repeat it here.
My first real offroad experience was in moab with a group of new friends with a rig i had just built. The first obstacle I tried was the Pickle. I hadn't reinforced a steering part, and it folded, which resulted in severe toe in and a broken axel. I felt like crap just like i have to imagine Hillbilly did. My group stopped and the guy that got me into it and those most mechanical inclined rallied around me and got my rig fixed well enough to get back to the trailer but left my truck there and walked up to the next obstacle, just to be a part of it as long as I could. There were a couple of guys from Wolford auto body there, right behind us. They had been watching when I broke. One of those Wolford guys came up to me and insisted I take his jeep up the obstacle. I tried every excuse, but he insisted he wanted me to do it. The first thing I said was I didn't want to damage his rig, he laughed. "You do see the big Wolford Collision Repair decal on it? I know a guy that can fix it! " So I took this strangers beautiful rig up the hard line with him spotting me. It was the adrenaline hit I needed, and it wiped that look that Hillbilly had too, right off my face. I got out, gave the guy a dude hug, and excitedly ran back to my rig to get back to the trailer and get it fixed. I had the axle so that was no problem. My friend had brought 2 rigs and they both had a reinforced steering part I needed. He let me take the part off his vehicle so I could get back on the trail the next day.
Something else that I learned on that trip is that it's mandatory to keep the guy behind you in site. If you can't do that, you don't ride with us. If Hillbilly had been with us and stopped, it would cause a ripple effect forward to the front of the line. The guy ahead of him would have stopped, and the guy ahead of that one and so on. The entire group knows pretty much immediately if someone drops out.

Long Wheel base, ground height, body & chassis flex, tires, good spotter = perfect combination.

The Land Yacht is such a seriously cool 4 x 4 build. Whenever all you can say is "Why?" you know you hit a homerun! Needs an ultra cool Team Layton body and paint job to really bring it together. This Limo will become a legendary build that everyone will want to see. Would be cool to see it as an advertisement for the channel with the whole teams picture adorning the sides.
Mike and HillBilly make a great combo mike is really good at rolling with it... and HillBilly is always clowning around and kind of hard to read for people but Mike seems to get him
Holy heck! THAT was something to see. Under the care and tutelage of Rory, you couldn't miss! Congrats to all the people involved in that build. Loved seeing how much your Dad enjoyed his limo ride.

Dude that was the most awesome thing I've seen in the 4x4 world. I figured it would be a total disaster & that it was just a stunt to get eyes on your channel. But when I saw it eating up those trails like they were nothing I just started laughing & didn't stop for some time. That's the most hilarious thing I've seen. Watching how surprised everyone was was just icing on the cake! For a day you totally eclipsed the worlds largest off road recovery vehicle - which has been the recent star performer. Way to go. You've showed a lot of courage to do something that wild in the first place & I'm so glad it paid off for you!
Hillbilly looked totally bummed, but i'm sure Robby will help him get a really capable rig before it's all done and said. Hang in there Hillbilly you just built the Broncstar it is a work in progress.

Couldn't help but smile watching the Laymo climb those obstacles! BroncStar is a work in progress, so I'm sure it will get sorted out. Props to Owen & Chad for their work on this project, also!

I couldn't help laughing while thinking that anyone after Robbie that didn't make it was going to have a very red face and never live it down. Rory is a phenomenal person. He'll help anyone not for the recognition but just because that's the type of person he is. High fives to Rory. Robbie, you have an awesome team behind you. Hang on to them. They're definitely your greatest asset (including Mrs Robbie. She's awesome too.)
You couldn't of had better folks to help you through that, Robbie! Paul was encouraging and he was smiling ear to ear, he was having so much fun! Easily one of the funniest, goofiest, builds ever. The fact that it actually worked makes this thing an icon. Also, man, Rory is such an MVP. What a legend!

That Robby Layton kid is really living the dream! Never met the guy, but from what I've seen of him and his capabilities, he deserves all the success he's achieved in his short life so far. Betting there is nothing he can't accomplish if he puts his mind to it. And we get to watch him do it! Doesn't get any better than that in my book.

The Lamo is the coolest crawler ever and to take your dad along is so awesome. My dad finally got to take a run from Galesburg IL, to Henderson NV in my semi truck before he died and I cherish those memories

That's the most outrageous sight I have ever seen. And I'm going to watch it again, and again! Robby, you surprised us all (and yourself) by how well it worked. I'm so sorry for Hillbilly for the difficulty that he ran into with the BroncStar - convey my appreciation for his effort to try Moab. I loved the video work and editing to make it a cohesive presentation. I loved the drone capture parts of the video - it added so much to the quality of the video. Robby, you looked totally involved in the action and you were having so much honest fun as it happened, not like having to make it up back at the shop. This one of the best examples of capturing the action and putting out a video to show it that has come out after the wrecker games and a little before. Kudo's for capturing the tension and nervous energy of the side hills where you almost tumbled into Rory, and to Rory for being such a skilled and helpful spotter. It was so nice to see all the rest of your comrades there too in order to participate and have fun. They and the general public seemed to have fun too. Please do some more of this type of content, it is real high-quality stuff. I will watch everything you do.

The capability of the Laymo is impressive ,your whole crew deserves congratulations. Hillbilly still needs to be proud that he drove it out and not on a hook. It's a work in progress and you just figured out what you need to do to improve the Broncstar.

Robby nailed it when it said it's a 13 year olds dream. It's a shame the Broncstar couldn't go up it but it was an extreme rush job. It deserves a new motor when they get it back. The Limo was the real star of the show everyone loved it. Rory has to be worried that Robby will start a new trend.

Totally Totally awesome 👌 👏.... the Laymo Limo ain't so Laymo no mo" .. As much fun as I had watching. I can't imagine how much fun it was actually being there. I tell you all the time Robbie you have a great team of folks who work with you and the whole crew around you from the other shops. Just a testimony of great friendship. This was Americana at its best. Hillbilly if you're not breaking your not wheeling. Drop a 351 in that little beast and it's a great rig. Owen the Blazer did a great job as well. Hat's off to all of you. Your hard work paid off tenfold and it was evident by the huge grins all day long start to finish. The limo, the Broncstar and the Blazer are all certified TRAIL TESTED . 😎👍
I'm extremely impressed with how awesome the Laymo handled everything!! Especially since it's 1 of the 1st 4wd vehicles you've built! I thought it was more of a fun joke & attention getter at first. As it turned out it was no joke, but looked like a ton of fun & it got a lot of attention because of how capable it is!! Congrats Robbie & everyone involved in building this amazingly awesome rig!!! You should be very proud of what you have accomplished!! You can see how proud your dad is!! Just think how much fun it's going to be once you get everything dialed in & you get more comfortable and confident driving it!! When you do something at Moab that impresses Rory Irish, you have really done something impressive. Rory was so confident of the limo's capabilities he volunteered to use his rig as a safety net just in case it rolled!

That thing is a rolling billboard. All he needs is a programmable light grid on the sides.
That was a hell of a video, no pun intended. The LAYMO needs to stay white, if repainted, maybe a pearlescent arctic white. The reasoning for this is is that it stands out perfectly in the brown and tan of the hills. There is no mistaking that it is the limo riding the trails like a white whale on the seas. ARRRGH! This video was one of the best videos EVER produced by the gang at Layton's. Robby gets many kudos for overcoming his fear and nervousness by just doing it.
I was smiling through the whole video. That limo is amazing. I'm so proud of Robby and his team. Glad to see Robby having fun and his crew/friends helping him and supporting him every step of the way.

I have to say that who ever is doing your filming and editing is doing a amazing job. This is better filmed that most you tube videos i've ever seen. Great job!!!!! Great video!!!!
Compared to how all the other rock crawlers approach obstacles, how they fit the bumps and cracks, the front and rear of the Laymo are doing completely different things, making it harder or easier than it is for others. "Oh, your Jeep is at a 75 degree angle going up that wall, with your rear tires in a hole? I'm at only 27 degrees and my rear tires are at the top of the previous hump."
This video was the best Robby. That limo looked so cool out on the trails. You knew you were gonna make it because Rory was spotting you. I have so much respect for Rory, the guy is super amazing and knows what he is doing . I felt bad for Hillbilly. He seemed kind of down over the Broncstar. I think it was hard on him because the Limo was getting all the attention. He would have liked more attention for the Broncstar. Maybe you guys can fix it and take it on an exclusive rock climb for it's own video just for Hillbilly. He deserves that! Robby you are an awesome person.
