Maybe it's because I don't know the ins and outs of the novel, but especially towards the end, her query critique sounded very encouraging! Love the sound of The Wedding Season - hopefully we'll get to read it someday!

🩸🦈 The amount of juice/flesh my first drafts usually require is extreeemme. I wouldn't usually use those words to describe it though, I just put 'expand' which is totally boring. 'Juice' I use more like a synonym for voiciness, so if I annotated that I need more juice it would mean 'this is fine but bland'.

Currently rewriting. The level of juice that will be needed when I am done. I am already prepping my self for the next draft lol. 🩸

Ooo I could really use that video. I'm feeling overwhelm with my revisions and my scattershot approach to applying feedback when it touches on several different areas is just a mess.
