ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT BIKEPACKING 2024 (PART 2)

Day 2 for the Annapurna Circuit Bikepacking. We came out from Besisahar and headed towards Dharapani. Passed by a few places, namely Chamche and Jagat before reaching Dharapani. Quite a hilly ride today, with quite a bit of pushing. Although it was only 40km of journey in total, but we took quite a while due to the climbs.
Initially we planned to have lunch near the Chamche Waterfall area but just before reaching Jagat, we met a man at the roadside beckoning us to have lunch at his cafe/teahouse. He worked in Malaysia before and could speak a fair bit of Malay, so we said ok. It was very windy at his cafe as we waited for our food to be prepared. We then met a friendly man who stopped by on his motorbike, Mr Khushi Gurung, who owns a lodge at Jagat called Mont Blanc. It’s still under construction at the moment so he was just chilling by and went fishing for trout at the nearby river. After lunch, we continued on and saw a group of Korean cyclist. This group consisted of quite senior people (above 60 years old). Though they are not carrying much on their bikes, it is already quite a feat for them.
Continuing on the trail got hilly and also windy. We then crossed Jagat and the waterfall which was really a sight to behold. Entering Dharapani, it was still hilly, especially at the riverside part. And finally hitting into the small town, I spotted the Crystal teahouse and finally reached. We then rested and had dinner after everyone had arrived safely.
