From the way Alice tells us that she was assigned a job and although she's a free spirit and normally would hate that sort of thing, she's OK with this job because it's kind of what she likes doing anyway --- it seems like you can't really say Alice gave herself the job. Also because she says having the job gives her benefits. If she gave it to herself then how can she give herself any benefit for having the job that she couldn't have given herself anyway? Well it's possible but only in a sort of metaphorical "oh if I wasn't talking to all the outlanders I never would have got all that outlander contraband like the magazine I gave to Barbara". But this assumes Alice herself can't travel off planet but just has ties to people who arrived. The only way I can see to avoid someone tougher than her having to give her the job -- most likely Venti -- would be if you assumed the Hexenzirkel "assigned" her the job as part of some overall goal of the group in the sense that everyone has been given a job so even the leader of the group can't be seen to be bunking off and in that sense had to do it, even though in another sense she was only tasking herself. But the Hexenzirkel doesn't appear to have any goal but a social gossip group that has tea and eats cake. Lisa certainly doesn't mention anything else and neither does Albedo (other than trips to visit Irminsul and eat spiders). If they had some serious purpose it feels like the tenor of the group would be different. When we get a cutscene with them talking to each other it's all gossip and no business.

I will try to present my theory as briefly as possible. So - I believe that Alice is the technical officer of the PO. To explain this, I have to explain everything. If you haven't noticed, a lot of things in Teyvat are closely connected to the Earth. For example, the Moon looks exactly the same as it does on Earth. For what reason would whoever created the false sky need to put a copy of Earth's moon in it? Right - because this appearance of the moon is significant for him. This proves that PO most likely came from Earth, because PO needs to know how the Moon looks from Earth. Who is PO and four shining shades? I think spaceships came from Earth looking for new planets. Don't know why or what happened. Maybe humanity came to an end on Earth. The prototype for PO could be Kevin Kaslana. Prototypes of four shining shades could be herrschers. Could Kevin Kaslana and his four herrschers defeat the dragons? I think it's quite possible. Kevin Kaslana was the leader of a group of colonialists. So usurper king. Later, a Sutainer (the prototype Herrscher of Finality) arrived from another spaceship to help Kevin and stayed on Teyvat as a boss - to maintain order, oversee the crew's work, and restart samsara when the time came. What happened next to Kevin and the four herrshers is not clear. Maybe he healed his injuries after the battle and flew off to inspect other already colonized planets. Will probably come back to check what's happening on Teyvat. But then what about the book Before sun and moon? This book is simply a beautiful legend about how the world was created. How to explain all this to the people of ancient times? Of course, with gods and such. These people had gods everywhere - god of lightning, god of the sea, god of the sun, etc. The fact that it is based on a biblical story only proves that PO was connected to Earth. Remember what Nicole said - trust only your eyes. What is not seen is an illusion. And what do we not see? We see no temples or churches to the mighty god of creation. Not even in the ancient murals is the mighty Primordial One anywhere. Funny, isn't it? Every spacecraft needs a crew and here we come to Alice and Hexenzirkel in general. The Hexenzirkel is a crew that serves the colony and does all sorts of other things like maintains or scientific research. The crew is made up of The Flame-Chasers. This explains the long lives of all these Hexenzirkel witches and that they were not afraid to challenge Venti. My prototype candidates: Alice (Elysia - elf-like ears. Elysian Realm) - a technical specialist who maintains the colony's protective barrier and possibly monitors the functionality of the Irminsul. Barbeloth (Aponia - she has the mysterious ability to see the threads of Fate) - strategic planner and forecaster. Rhinedottir (Mobius) - a scientist specializing in molecular biology and DNA engineering. Nicole (Fu Hua with Key of Sentience which can link together multiple consciousnesses for communication) - communication specialist, psychologist, possibly with telepathic abilities. Of course, Alice could visit other planets to help with technical problems on them. How else could she travel to other planets if not with PO's permission? The crew has its own base, which I believe is on Celestia. Why? Because in Monstand, on the statue of Venti it is written - gateway to Celestia. There is probably a portal to Celestia under the statue of Venti. Now it is clear why Alice lives in Monstand and why all witches children are in Monstand in general. In case something bad happens, they can quickly get to safety. But what about Klee? So can Flame-Chaser have a child? It may not be possible, but if you have a friend who is a scientist specializing in molecular biology and DNA engineering, then everything is possible. Rhinedottir simply created Klee for Alice from her DNA. That's all this time. Although I have a lot more to say about the Arcon war, the many gods and more.

In my opinion, the game itself has nothing much to do with Genshin at all. The only thing the game gives is an idea of what heershers are, what their power is. What is honkai. The same goes for Kevin Kaslana or Otto Apocalypse. Most of the info that could be related to Genshin can be obtained from the manga. Descriptions of heershers can be obtained from the homepages. I also watch various videos about HI3, its history or characters. I recommend watching Homu Labs video. Since PO is called the usurper king, he should be male. Although it's not 100% either because we have Lesser Lord Kusanali who is a little girl named Nahida. But if PO is really male and it all has something to do with HI3, then it has to be Kevin Kaslan - his prototype. Kevin is quite a complex personality. His age is 50'000+ years. Many think that he is simply evil, but in reality, he is a man who will do anything, literally ANYTHING, to save humanity. In the game he has reached such a power that he is stronger than a general herrsher (if heersher can be called general at all xD). The project involved extracting the DNA of powerful Honkai Beasts and inserting them into human soldiers in order to grant them superhuman abilities and innate Honkai resistance. It is remarkable that MANTIS does not age. MANTIS could very well explain the millennial age of Alice and Rhinedottir. Kevis was also MANTIS. Yes, Kiana transformed into the Herrscher of Finality. Why I think Sustainer is more Herrscher of Finality than Herrscher of Void is because Herrscher of Void doesn't have the abilities that Sustainer shows us. Herrscher of Finality, on the other hand, has the abilities of all herrschers + able to control time. And it is literally her job to restart civilizations. Perhaps the Sustainer has traveled to another planet to do her work there. That's why we don't hear or see anything from her on Teyvat. There were many different heershers. Some of them are quite interesting in the context of Genshin. For example: Herrscher of Earth - Able to control and manipulate gravity. Can Celestia float in the air this way? Herrscher of Binding - Able to create a field around them that nullifies Honkai energy and affects other forms of energy to various extents. Probably not. The Twins traveled through countless worlds for as many years as the stars live and their world was destroyed from the very beginning of their journey and was basically their reason for traveling in search of a new home, so if Alice really is from Teyvat, then she definitely could not get into their world without some things with time.
we know alice has been traveling for hundreds of years, hell she ran into rhinedottir at one point before the cataclsym, but we have no way of saying whether she went to their homeplanet. the odd thing about Alice's knowledge about the traveler, is despite having never seen nor really interacted with, she seemingly knows he/shes an outlander, which makes apart of a very small group that knows. a group that also includes fischl lol

btw, since we know there's a good chance that the current Tevyat humanity has some parts of dragon element in them (which is obvious, since their ancestors kept eating them), I wonder if it's put some credibility to the old "human pen" theory? what I mean is the "human pen" is... do you remember the manga The Promised Neverland? Yeah basically that. Except with new context, instead of human and seelies, it might actually be dragons and seelie ancestors (whom, according to Alice, were some form of humans.)

OK so the most enigmatic being is the living domain at the bottom of the chasm. What the fuck is it? It ate abyssal monsters and Liyue soldiers alike. Whose side is it on? What god would have created that monstrosity? Not the PO who tries to nail it, but fails. Are there just a bunch of "naturally" occurring monster domains that suck you in and read your mind and then screw with you by constructing physical objects from your memories while it sucks you dry and turns you into thrall ghost like creatures? It's not from any of the three realms. And it's buried deep in the rock so what does even eat? Not a lot of people exactly passing through down there. In the chalk Prince side quest, Albedo speaks of Citrinitas as the final stage, above Rubedo, which implies that this is Rhinedotter's way, while the Narcissisenkreuz Ordo concentrates on Rubedo as the final stage. It all kind of speaks to an allegorical argument, if you are aiming to make the philosopher's stone, are you doing it in the persuit of a perfect stone, or are you objectives, obtaining a means to mass produce gold? I feel like this question actually matters when it comes to deciding Teyvat's future, as we deal with people on Alice and Rhinedotter's scale. Rhinedottir (Mobius) - a scientist specializing in molecular biology and DNA engineering.
Nicole (Fu Hua with Key of Sentience which can link together multiple consciousnesses for communication) - communication specialist, psychologist, possibly with telepathic abilities.
Of course, Alice could visit other planets to help with technical problems on them. How else could she travel to other planets if not with PO's permission?
The crew has its own base, which I believe is on Celestia. Why? Because in Monstand, on the statue of Venti it is written - gateway to Celestia. There is probably a portal to Celestia under the statue of Venti. Now it is clear why Alice lives in Monstand and why all witches children are in Monstand in general. In case something bad happens, they can quickly get to safety.
But what about Klee? So can Flame-Chaser have a child? It may not be possible, but if you have a friend who is a scientist specializing in molecular biology and DNA engineering, then everything is possible. Rhinedottir simply created Klee for Alice from her DNA.

In my opinion, the game itself has nothing much to do with Genshin at all. The only thing the game gives is an idea of what heershers are, what their power is. What is honkai. The same goes for Kevin Kaslana or Otto Apocalypse.
Most of the info that could be related to Genshin can be obtained from the manga. Descriptions of heershers can be obtained from the homepages. I also watch various videos about HI3, its history or characters. I recommend watching Homu Labs video.
Since PO is called the usurper king, he should be male. Although it's not 100% either because we have Lesser Lord Kusanali who is a little girl named Nahida.
But if PO is really male and it all has something to do with HI3, then it has to be Kevin Kaslan - his prototype. Kevin is quite a complex personality. His age is 50'000+ years. Many think that he is simply evil, but in reality, he is a man who will do anything, literally ANYTHING, to save humanity. In the game he has reached such a power that he is stronger than a general herrsher (if heersher can be called general at all xD). He was fought with Bronya, Mei, and Kiana as herrshers and apparently they couldn't defeat him. Only in their final form could they defeat Kevin.

Why prototypes? Because many people have died in HI3. Although the Flame Chasers are almost all dead. It is now possible to meet their projections in the Elysian Realm. The Flame-Chasers were people from the MANTIS project. The project involved extracting the DNA of powerful Honkai Beasts and inserting them into human soldiers in order to grant them superhuman abilities and innate Honkai resistance. It is remarkable that MANTIS does not age. MANTIS could very well explain the millennial age of Alice and Rhinedottir. Kevis was also MANTIS.
Yes, Kiana transformed into the Herrscher of Finality. Why I think Sustainer is more Herrscher of Finality than Herrscher of Void is because Herrscher of Void doesn't have the abilities that Sustainer shows us. Herrscher of Finality, on the other hand, has the abilities of all herrschers + able to control time. And it is literally her job to restart civilizations.
Perhaps the Sustainer has traveled to another planet to do her work there. That's why we don't hear or see anything from her on Teyvat.
There were many different heershers. Some of them are quite interesting in the context of Genshin. For example:
Herrscher of Earth - Able to control and manipulate gravity. Can Celestia float in the air this way?
Herrscher of Binding - Able to create a field around them that nullifies Honkai energy and affects other forms of energy to various extents. Is this Phanes, who separates the universe and the microcosm of the world?
This is arguably the most mysterious character of Genshin impact so far we don’t know what she looks like

The Twins traveled through countless worlds for as many years as the stars live and their world was destroyed from the very beginning of their journey and was basically their reason for traveling in search of a new home, so if Alice really is from Teyvat, then she definitely could not get into their world without some things with time.
we know alice has been traveling for hundreds of years, hell she ran into rhinedottir at one point before the cataclsym, but we have no way of saying whether she went to their homeplanet. the odd thing about Alice's knowledge about the traveler, is despite having never seen nor really interacted with, she seemingly knows he/shes an outlander, which makes apart of a very small group that knows. a group that also includes fischl lol

In the chalk Prince side quest, Albedo speaks of Citrinitas as the final stage, above Rubedo, which implies that this is Rhinedotter's way, while the Narcissisenkreuz Ordo concentrates on Rubedo as the final stage.
It all kind of speaks to an allegorical argument, if you are aiming to make the philosopher's stone, are you doing it in the persuit of a perfect stone, or are you objectives, obtaining a means to mass produce gold?
I feel like this question actually matters when it comes to deciding Teyvat's future, as we deal with people on Alice and Rhinedotter's scale.
