The pod is a cargo pod, the Beech 99 with 15 to 17 passengers is a little tight for room. So a few operators use the pod for extra room. It also helps with keeping the aircraft within the C of G range.
Great video. What about performance-wise ? does it make full use of pc components unlike other airplanes ?
There is also the Carenado Piper Pa44 seminole which is a twin prop analogue/ steam gauge, incase you are looking for a steam gauge twin prop that is better quality.
Have there been any updates or improvements since this review?
Definitely worth the purchase very fun plane to fly and you can change the avionics from glass to original good ground effects and easy to fly
Good review! Mixture levers are mislabelled and should read "fuel cutoff" as the engines are turbo props.
I like that there are more windows from the inside than the outside it must be to make it feel less closed when you travel as a passenger 👍🏻😂😂😂

i just purchased the just flight pa 28 and after flying around in that if feel like any GA aircraft released that is not this detailed after this is not even close to being called an acceptable addon for msfs.
Has this got any better, its had several updates ?

I have it myself, really disappointed early on.... the cockpit is horrid no two ways about it , however the update they put out last weekend(ver 1.5) solved the flaps issue you mentioned. I have now put maybe 25hrs into it and my long term review...... It is sluggish as hell getting off the ground(as you mention), personally with any kind of load I wouldn't attempt a takeoff on a runway under 3000ft(keep your brakes on until you are redlining the torque!). The autopilot is a little hit and miss, but workable. While sluggish getting off the ground once it gets going its seems to have plenty of power and it is relatively easy to overspeed even in a slight climb....you are looking at around 225knots as your cruise speed. Its very much not the easiest plane to slow down, personally I try to land it flatter than anything else I fly and with about 10 degrees of trim. In many ways if you think of what it must have been like to drive an late 60s full size US car, that's how this feels! (it does handle really well on the ground though). All in all I have come to enjoy mine, would I recommend it? For all its flaws it is satisfying to master, but its a plane that I would advise people to purchase with your eyes open
I won’t buy a plane until aerosoft’s CRJ comes out . Most don’t have refund policies so I’m not wasting money. Good review and at least your keeping it real by being honest
This is a terrible aircraft.. looks okay from outside but the inside is a joke. This is freeware material not pay ware. I paid for it and tried it. Be honest with your reviews as people will come back. Dont say everything is good. Thats not a good reviewer. but you do a GREAT JOB! keep it up! Feedback from us is always good.

VirtualCol had a reputation of making frame rate friendly aircraft in FSX and you can see how they managed it. Sadly it doesn't look like anything has changed. There was lots of freeware in FSX that was of better quality than VirtualCol. Incidentally, the Beech 99 doesn't have a pilot door which explains why that door handle didn't work 🤣

I was really looking forward to this aircraft being released was not worth the money spent buying. It has chased me off of buying from 3rd part vendors for msfs 2020.. very disappointing
Don’t be put off, this is a bad example! There’s plenty of great ones coming, I’ll be the first place to go to show you what’s good and what’s like this! 😂
What a shame - I was really looking forward to this aircraft. I'm not a fan of the default King Air. Mainly because of the awful system implementation (nothing like the real AC) and also because of the glass cockpit. When I first saw the exterior model for this I was hyped, to say the least, but the cockpit it just truly appalling. I recognize it may not be easy, but it feels rushed to me. With regards to landing, you were quite a bit fast. VS0 (stall speed in a landing configuration) is 65kts. If we use the basic formula for VS0 x 1.3 we get our Vref (threshold speed; landing speed). Doing this gets 85kts. So aim on the slightly higher side of this when approaching. With regards to the flaps, I believe they are large slotted flaps, so full 40 (I think) degrees 'could' be as draggy as it is in the sim. You may need to add a fair bit of power to overcome this. Nice review mate, + 1 sub.
Hi Jack, thanks for your comment, it is sad because this could be a really good aircraft, the problem with the flaps is that it basically cuts all power and there’s nothing you can do about it, you enter a stall within seconds, if I were to deploy the earlier I’d be in the grass! It seems to be a problem that everyone experiences, sadly.

This is the worst aircraft I have ever bought. Meanwhile in version 1.82, but it is still bad. Save your money. Agreeing 100% with Studs conclusion.
