Preposterously difficult solo. I love Bourgeois’ music but this could do with being a minor third lower, and some have some serious editing to put the solo in a tessitura where it doesn’t strained or inaudible. (Not taking away from Ms Picton’s playing which is pretty heroic, considering the range and stamina demands). I’m not surprised it hasn’t been recorded until recently.
Holy Cow. I just started listening to Wendy a day ago and she is already a hidden gem. The high range is so flawless.
I came to look up Wendy Picton yet again and just found a list of solos performed by her. Wow, this is a real treat. Thanks David, such old gems.
