Thanks for the video. There is an article from the Darlington and Stockton Times on line describing the decline of the Hutton Bonville estate and Hall. All of the farms around there were part of the estate and you can imagine farmers and Hall family and staff attending the church.
Oh great thanks. That's what imagined when I was there - I'm always thinking of the long-gone spirits that passed through before. Can i ask how you found the video? It seems to be getting more views than normal, for some reason 😄
Hi from Japan. The church seems very romantic to me even more so because it is isolated. We have as many as 20,000 deserted temples out of more than 70,000 in total all over our country, which is really a serious problem these days. There seems to be no immediate solutions. Thank you as always😊
That sign and the gothic style gravestones shows the church has been used a lot more recently than the Black Death but a lot of these isolated churches are usually found where there once stood a village wiped out by the plague, the fields around them are usually ‘hillocky’ where nature has reclaimed the land over the derelict village.
The saddest thing about this country now I think is our loss of Christianity and our heritage. I don’t like saying I’m a Christian now because people look at you like you’re stupid. We’ve lived for thousands of years with Christianity and people think they all know better now. But I don’t think they do.
I'm on the same page. My main motivation for videoing these churches is to retain their history and tradition. Unfortunately the West wants us in a Woke, AI fuelled technocracy Their intentional destruction or mocking of Christianity (specifically "white" Christianity is no accident.
@@richexplores 100%agreed I like going to Norman cathedrals and staying in the city for a bit, I’m in absolute awe in them but I also love seeing the little old churches. I’ll tell you an awesome one St Peter’s church heysham its 6th century Anglo Saxon it has a Viking hog back grave tomb and the ruins of st Patrick Nextdoor has ancient rock cut tombs and apparently st Patrick was there before he went to convert the heathen Irish 😂I know other good ones too I’ve been doing it for years I have good pictures.👍
@@richexplores I’m in Blackpool Lancashire so there’s nothing historic here because IT’s Victorian but Lancashire has some great stuff. I’m going to gisburn next the church there is ancient and Cromwell stabled his horses in it. As he did with all the churches he stopped near because he was against state sponsored religion.
Interesting video, thanks for sharing
Thanks. Just my sort of stuff. Look forward to more. 😊
Thanks! I have quite a few similar videos already on the channel!

@@richexplores I did a search last week on old English churches. This morning your video was in my list.
@car7productions731 oh great, YT is being nice to me for a change 😁

thank you so much for this video, yes unfortunately our English heritage is being lost too soon
You're welcome!
I agree, and unfortunately it is being destroyed intentionally. There are no coincidences...
The church website says closed for repairs.
There are some nice interior photos on the website.
That's true. I found the website after visiting 😄

True. Although this church served a nearby Hall/Estate that I think closed in 1960s.
Winmarleigh church is the same in the middle of nowhere
Just looked it up. Seems that it's close to a Hall - same as this one was (until the 1960s)
@@richexplores 1 minute I think you have the wrong one I’ll just check

@@richexplores yeah do. I did a video on it but I took it down because it was winter and I kept sniffing also I hate the sound of my voice.
