Post New Year's Recycle Collection in a Jerky Python! (1529)

Foothills - Henderson, NV.
Mark doing the New Year's recycling rush from 2023! Lots of full cans on the route, but unfortunately lots of contaminated recycling bins. It's crazy to see how much contamination spikes in the recycling post holidays, this neighborhood always did a bad job putting the right stuff in their bins, but this was on a whole nother level. Saw bags of trash, the usual yard waste, and an appliance in the carts, of all things there is whole bags of baking flour at 5:30. So much for Republic's Recycling Simplified, there is nothing simple about it at all lol. Wouldn't be surprised if the whole load just went into the trash that day.
Anyway, Mark was running a bit behind because he says the arm on this truck is junk, it used to be better but has now gotten very raggedy. Mark says when you move the joystick the arm won't move until a few seconds and it moves quickly so he's being super cautious when extending the arm. The arm is also slamming into itself when it retracts. If you listen closely you can hear the slams sound and that's the arm hitting its lower half, ouch.
