White is equally in tune with all emotions but is also deeply entrenched in them and the Balance keeps them from going crazy. Indigo skims the surfaces of all emotions and is unbalanced.

To not lose control of her powers, Raven must distance herself from complex emotions (although in recent years, she's gotten better). Raven can't express too much emotion and must always remain in control. Because of this, she should be Willpower (Green), as that is the most neutral emotion.
Raven literally lives her life in misery containing her father. She does this cause she cares about the world around her. She cares about the lives of strangers. She lays down her own life to save lives. She may have willpower but she belongs to the white Lanterns.

Another thing that would keep Starfire out of the Indigo Tribe is the fact that very few Indigo Lanterns are chosen because they have compassion. Most of them were murderers and villains who were brainwashed into feeling only compassion so that they could redeem themselves.

I like that the natural choices put the green Beast Boy in a blue ring to buff the powers of the (sometimes) blue Cyborg with a green ring. It's a funny visual and the combo is perfect for their friendship.

Her redemption also reeks of Vengeance, down to her "burning out". And her upbringing should easily cause rage.
But there is something to be said about fear. But only about her having a lot of fear, and trying to hide it.

6:06 I disagree with your reasoning here as you confuse compassion and empathy and you don't get it right. Empathy is the ability to feel and understand others emotions and share their feelings which Beast boy does perfectly fine. It's just that he's bad at how to help others cope their emotions like how he sometimes offends people when he tries to make them feel better. That's not being un empathetic that's poor communication plus empathy is usually what makes you compassionate. And while I do agree that hope is a good fit I think compassion would work just as well if not better
LOL I’ve been requesting this video for a long time. Glad it finally came. I pretty much agree entirely with all of these too. Except I think the Green Lantern Corp is equally as valid for Raven as the White Lantern Corp. Primarily because every day for her is a battle to keep her emotions at bay, and she almost always wins and seldom gives her demonic side a way out despite it just being a part of her heritage and who she is. Being able to do this on such a frequent and seemingly endless basis requires the strongest will imaginable. Because she’s willingly and consistently wards off her demonic fueled emotions and impulses.

If she didn’t she would just let her demon half win. Will power is just as plausible as all the other emotions, except for greed. That’s why the white lantern corps is the best possible choice.

Before I saw this video, I already strongly felt that Beast Boy should be Hope. So I’m so glad you agree. Beyond even the reasons that you stated, Beast Boy has also had a ton of tragedy in his life, like, way too much for one person (look it up), and yet he keeps on persevering and attempting to help others rather than himself.

I agree a lot that Terra would most likely suit the red ring of rage. I have the comic books where she first turned against the team when she was secretly working with Deathstroke. She raged out a lot.

I could also very much see Raven as a Blue Lantern. Seeing as in her early comic days she wasn't as much a fighter, but more support for her teammates, this is very similar to the relationship between the Green and Blue lanterns. Additionally, as Robin said in the Teen Titans episode The End Part 3, Raven is a very hopeful person because even though she was destined to bring destruction to earth through Trigon, she hoped that she could be a hero and possibly with the help of the Titans, defeat her father. Though like the video said, she could fit in a few different corps and so White was chosen.
I like the argument for Raven belonging to the Life Corp but I disagree with it personally. I believe she belongs to the Hope Corp myself. She is always looking forward trying to do more good then any bad that she or her family might possible do or trying to find a way to control or negate her demon side and influence. Plus despite her constant control and suppression of her emotions she still tries to grow closer to her friends and as a person. All of this is driven by hope in one way or another, even the hope to be free from Trigon and her brothers influence her and this is the reason why I think she is better suited to the Hope Corp myself

Another reason why I personally see her as Hope in addition to the point you made, is how in her early comic appearances Raven wasn't as much of a fighter, but supported her teammates in battle by often healing them. This is similar to how Blue Lanterns cant themselves fight with their ring, but rather strengthen the power of any nearby Green Lanterns.

So I agree with you for the most part I completely agree with you accept Terra since compassion would be better for her
I actually do think that the Animated Series Terra would be suited towards the yellow ring of fear, mainly due to it motivating many of her decisions, whether she likes it or not. Sad to say, but as a person, she was a runner. This video was done more for the comics version who, well... was cray cray.

I have to disagree with the Starfire/Love choice. Compassion actually does make more sense. Just because she can't relate to humans doesn't mean she doesn't relate to others. In fact, she doesn't seem to shun human ways and customs so she is accepting and willing to learn about the ways of people. Compassion being a relative term. She is accepting and embraces what she does know of people. So compassion would be a suitable fit. To say she couldn't fit into an entire corps because she doesn't relate to "normal people" doesn't make sense unless the entire indigo group is composed entirely of Earthlings. And seeing as how all the Lantern Corps are intergalactically formed, that isn't a disqualifying characteristic that she doesn't currently relate to humans. If she didn't care about people or their ways and customs and blatantly disregarded them, then THAT would be a valid point of contention for her entry into such a group. But she doesn't show anything to indicate that, in fact, she always seems to be curious and open to understanding the ways and mannerisms of others around her. Which further supports a compassion over love choice of Corps. Just saying. I do like these videos though. Don't want this to come off as bashing your video. Just stating my view on the matter

Raven is an empath, though it’s not explored much in the show her main power is feeling and controlling other’s emotions. Along side the fact that she’s definitely the most insightful Titan often acting as confidant for the other members, she’s also arguably been through the most making her able to relate to people a lot more. With all of that I think the Indigo Corp of Compassion would work perfectly for her and is the obvious choice for me.

I found your commentary on the BlueBeetle ironic! You mentioned that you believe he would best fit "Will" (aka: Green); but is disqualified from that option due to the scarab. In spite of this fact, the "human" side is applicable to "Hope" (aka: Blue) while the "alien" side is applicable to "Fear" (aka: Yellow). Since it has been shown that a person can wield more than one lantern core at a time, despite how difficult it is to control more than one without the assist of the Green Lantern core in-particular; consequently, if we were to give the BlueBeetle BOTH the Yellow and Blue lantern core rings, "Yellow + Blue = Green"! Because in terms of color-spectrum, combining yellow with blue light results in green lighting anyway... So even if it wouldn't be "Will", having a "Fearful Hope" combo would result in a far less controllable (and more powerful) version of the Green Lantern core. Which accurately fits BlueBeetle's struggle to maintain "dominance" over his scarab counterpart.........
When dealing with two minds (of a sort), you really ought to have considered the potentiality of distributing BOTH lantern cores to BlueBeetle!

Sorry, but Raven should be in the green lantern coups. The reason being: she feels all emotions very strongly (like a Vulcan) but she uses her willpower to suppress them (like a Vulcan). The fact that she actively uses her willpower to overcome all of her other emotions proves that she belongs in the GREEN lantern corps.
She belongs in multiple different Corps, which is why she is classified as a White Lantern. They have mastery over the entire Emotional Spectrum. And don’t be rude to the producer.

Star Saphires are chosen because the ring fills a void of love in the ring bearer's heart. Which fits Starfire due to her unrequited love for Dick Grayson. While I agree Raven could be a rare member of the White Corps Compassion fits her best because members of the Indigo Tribe were all evil people who have had compassion forced on them and her empathic abilities perfectly suit the Corps as well. She would channel the other Corps energy even more easily. Beast Boy could never fulfill the role and sacrifice required of a Hope bearer. In fact his desire to have it all, in a minimal sense (he wants everyone to like him), makes him most fitted for the Orange ring out of them all. I disagree about Beast Boy, while yes he’d like everyone to like him, it’s not his driving goal. What he can’t stand is for a friend to be seemingly sad all the time. Even worse if he thinks he’s the reason someone is sad. Like most comedians of our day, Garfield uses comedy in part to alleviate his own depression.
His care for others causes him to want to do everything he can to help them from the sadness he has experienced by being the clown. His personality in that light isn’t selfish but selfless, like a blue lantern.

I think my lantern ring is compassion. When i feel something i keep focus on that emotion, i can relate because to everyone even fictional ones, I always care for them. Remember the oath of the compassion it said empathy in one of the rough translation and I have a whole lot of empathy.
Problem with Beetle being a blue lantern is that blue and green corps are, in essence, allied corps
you need to incorporate the other rings , like the power ring , the travel lantern , the phantom ring , and the new one the invincible spectrum (it will be fun to see new versions of the videos taking in count the new rings)

Interesting arguments, but I do have an issue with compassion. According to my research, an Indigo ring is not given to someone who has compassion. It is forced on those who LACK compassion as a sort or rehabilitation program.

Normally, raven is pure green. She's built her life around self discipline to keep her emotions very firmly in check. Including hope. She's mostly resigned to that just being her life.
On better days, after some major wins, she allows herself to hope a bit. It's really her secondary emotion.
On her abolute best day, yeah, that's white... but it's too fleeting to define her.
I'm also not sure how she'd feel about wearing a ring: she's very focused on her father's potential influence over her, and the notion of gaining even more power that he might then corrupt through her is likely low on her list.

I think beastboy should've stayed in the compassion lantern corps... His fun and playful nature with others is the primary aspect of that, not hope... I know he didn't know how Raven was feeling exactly, but fact of the matter is his intentions were good, he was trying to make her feel better even though he couldn't comprehend her. I think that's a great symbol of compassion.

So I have just had an internal argument with myself about how Starfire can totally relate to normal people, since she is a normal person who grew up on a planet full of normal people just like her, and maybe Earth isn’t normal, along with me still not wanting her in compassion because they choose based on how sadistic the person is, and force them to be compassionate

I would only change beast boy to white lantern because his is the OTHER extreme of display all of the emotions, his is the minimum to ravens maximum emotions. With the jokester characters it is hard to pin point their true emotions and I think in the show and movies he displays ALL the emotions quite nicely

Which Lantern Corps should the Seven Deadly Sins be in?
Terra could *start* as yellow lantern, but eventually reject it and turn to the Blue core. The scarab would more likely be in the orange core, imo, because the creators of it desire to rule over all, to have all the wealth.

Would you not think Cyborg Death? Outside of the evil nature, he did die and was brought back and a lot of his themes revolve around being not human, gaining power by giving up humanity, and the horrors that is knowing the entirety of the internet at all times.
