- Cubs fans love doing this, and the security guards HATE it. What's the deal? Wrigley Field bleachers are rowdy! That's the deal. It's part of the charm on Chicago's north side.
The Washington Nationals were in town, which meant that Kyle Schwarber and Jon Lester were back. Meanwhile this was a "Watch With Zack" game -- I was with five kids and their father, and there was so much action from start to finish. We snagged a baseball outside the stadium on Waveland Avenue before the bleacher gates even opened, and we caught lots of baseballs after that on the inside during batting practice. It rained a lot. We ate lots of food. Tons of shenanigans. And we saw a great game too.

I don't care what some ppl say this guy is great for baseball. For 1. He shows that nobody is too old to let their inner child out every now and then. 2. He ALWAYS takes care of the kids and makes sure lots of them get a ball. And 3. He informs fans what to expect when they get a chance to see their first game. I personally have never got to see a game live but when I finally do I'm thing to put some of what I've learned from Zack into practice. Keep making great content and spreading the love of the game!

In 1998, for my 40th birthday, my wife and I flew from California just to watch a weekend series @Wrigley Field with the Giants vs. Cubs. It was the best birthday present ever!

I’ve been a Cubs fan since my parents took me to my first game when I was 6.
Turning 69 in August.
I thought of mom and dad who have passed when the Cubs won the World Series.

I haven’t been “home” in two years so I’m elated to see these videos. Makes me excited to finally get to some games later in the summer.
That guard passing by that baseball in batting practice had two arms that weren’t broken. Just toss that ball up like a decent human being. Glove trick was sweet though!
I’m gonna have to try that beer snake here in Pittsburgh. It should be easy since a large amount of beer is needed to tolerate a Pirates game

I lived 3 blocks from Wrigley from 2011 until 2019, I still make it to a lot of games. Loved the video, I've seen a LOT of games from the friendly confines, nothing like it.
Love seeing a family that loves the game together. A bond like that will last a lifetime and survive distances spanning the globe.

I’m the dad in the video and actually I think Zack’s prices is very fair.
He was extremely generous with his time in regards to all the kids. The kids loves that day and we plan to do it again some day.
Zack’s the real deal, and any negative Nancy’s can stick it, in my opinion MLB should follow Zack’s idea and open all gates

You may not believe it but, most mlb teams have rules prohibiting non-players from throwing balls into the stands to fans. I know this because a friend of mine was a trainer, and wasn´t supposed to toss balls into the stands. And that included me when I would stop down a see him before a game near the dugout. Players on the other hand can throw as many as they want.
Well, I was Cubs security for 2 years, 16 and 17. Welcome to Ricketts Field, traditions are dead. The Bleacher Bums have been chased out. The job is literally 18-23 year olds being managed by 25-30 year old basement dwellers. They get a little too power hungry and take the job way too seriously. Lost sight of the fact that baseball is suppose to be fun. Squashing the cup snake thing became practically top priority for the season after the W/S because it "encouraged over serving."
That said, I would do it all over again. Only way some Paramedic on the south side of Chicago was ever going to be able to be inside of that ball park to watch the Cubs play in and eventually win the World Series.
Oh. And I got a ring out of the deal.

I was a Cubs fan from 1988-2017. They banned a man from Wrigley for life for playing the innocent circle game. Now, the Cubs are dead to me.
What’s the circle game?
I disowned the Cubs in 2013 after the Cartman series. Wrigley died when they tore down the bleachers and erected the sacrilegious LED obscenities. Now it's just a generic, big city, overpriced beer tap.

Memories for me. Pushing 50 now but when I was 12 my brother and I both got toss ups from Jack Clark over in right field. Kid tried to steal it out of my glove but my brother made sure I got it. Funny that our dog chewed them up the same day. ugh.

things must've changed over the years. When i lived near Chicago, we took the Bus & EL from the 'burbs to the ballpark. Many times, i've went around collecting abandoned souvenir soda cups, beer cups, etc. And always took the stack home (and washed them of course). Why is that that NOW A Problem ????????
