WOW URA true JET SETTER!!!!!!! I've never even heard of Logan Air!?!?! Nice peddle jumper! it's always fun to fly commercial on a prop plane. Do you have a jet rating? OMG AWESOME beach landing - it;s like in the movie Dunkirk!!!!!!!!
17:37, I think it's because when the wind change direction, the plane should land on the headwind, so that it's smooth to land than the crosswind landing, so they need 3 runways if that makes sense.
You can tell the outbound aircraft is a DHC-6-400 by the glass cockpit where the -300 you flew back on had an analog cockpit. The powerplant has nothing to do with an aircraft being pressurized. The Twin Otter is powered by thr PT-6 which is the same engine that powers the Shorts 330/360 which are unpressurized and the Pilatus PC-12 which is pressurized.
♫ Directo was its name-O! ♫ so i've seen other videos on Barra landings but dig yours the best; turbo props are nostalgic aircrafts for me (my very first airplane ride as a kid was in one) but it is super loud, kinda why i gave up flying Porter's turbo props from the more convenient island airport in downtown TO over the larger, roomier jets outta YYZ - so now i think im caught up, right? lol
Scotland is a country, but a constiuent part of the sovereign state of the United Kingdom, along with three other countries (its complicated and archaic). But thanks for the great video, enjoyed that.
I live in NW England and I take my Newfoundland up to Scotland often so he can swim in the lochs and the sea. The Barra flight is on my bucket list...what could be cooler than landing on a beach?
@@PatrickSheaAviationbecause Edinburgh gets subsidised by the natsi snp, including giving them a direct (tram) connection and cancelled Glasgows rail link, but Glasgow is by far the biggest city, nearly 2.5million people within 30 mins of the airport.
Beach landing. Wow. Talk about off the beaten path. Two thumbs up.
Logan Air ... the shortbread tin in the sky! Great vlog and experience.
Dare you to say "country, not country of Scotland" to any scotsman... You're playing with fire 😆😂
You beat me to it. He's lucky to have escaped alive!
Get your facts straight before you spout off about stuff you dont know

Great vlog as always.. love the baggage reclaim.
Where the airport code matches the ambient temperature :)
What a unique experience! I would love to try flying this. Great video Patrick, thanks.

Thanks for the info + video!
That's the first time I ever see a landing & takeoff at Barra from window view 😅🤩🤳🏻🛬🛫
I never thought I’d see my dudes Phineas and Ferb get namedropped! 😂
The goats gotta be thrown in there for sure
Great video and very informative!
Barre is the island not a village, city or town, glad you gave it a go
Barra, pardon
Country/Not Country of Scotland. !!!!???? Man they are going to TEAR YOU TO SHREDS. FYI Scotland is most definitely a country.
What fun 💚🏖️
Sorry to be that guy, but Barra isn’t a city, it’s an island haha

Yes but there aren’t many unpressurized turboprops. You kinda just end up assuming that the two things come together

Love the turboprops! They always have more legroom than any jet out there for sure!
Barra is interestingly not in the radar of a lot of flight reviewers, along with Loganair's Saab retirement. But ya know, Pat might change that LOL!
Ha! Thanks man!
16:07, And wifi. I guess it's a short flight, so wifi is not necessary.

Is Wales a country or a Principality
You referred to Barra as a city?

Geezers rule!
So Glasgow AirPort is smaller than EDI
Edinburgh actually sees quite a bit more passengers than Glasgow

Go Geezers!!!!!!! /wink
Could you try Iberia’s new a350 business class?
Sorry, but I had to skip over your sponsor talk.
Isn't it brilliant just how idiosyncratic us Brits are.
Great vid, bet you enjoyed the trip better than some first class offerings you've been on.
Barra!
