    I agree with Agathe and Spartan. Absolutely the best, no nonsense, easy to follow instructional video I've yet seen on RUclips. And I've seen quite a few.

    Thanks for the video. One thing that has never been made clear in any of these instructionals: will I have to sit an examination at the end of a 'Competent Crew' course? Or do I simply need to show competence to get a certificate?

      Hi Jeff. There’s no exam at any of the practical courses. There is an ongoing assessment and it’s fundamentally about grasping the principles. You are kept informed on the daily debriefs how you are progress. Do not worry about exams.

    I highly recommend subtitles; he has a very strong accent, on some instances, I had to keep "rewinding" to understand what he was saying :/

      Maybe search for a video in your language!
