@@poohdankensI agree, they do suck. So does Sony. This issue should’ve been fixed at least 3-5 years ago. The fact that we’re all going through hell just to get in game voice chat audio is so disappointing. All these guys do is brag about how advanced their stuff is but it’s a load of bullshit 😂 trash
@@poohdankens does any company respond, i know Avermedia and EVGA has a channel, but i would say it'd be the same with all.
but the problem isn't really the chat link itself, it's the PS5, Sony automatically blocks party chat being connected to an external card.
so to get around that hurdle, you have to connect your headset to your laptop to create a new source, but the problem then is nobody in the chat will be able to hear you.
Elgato, Avermedia, EVGA, there gonna go by company policy.
so it's unfortunate you spend so much money,
only for something to still be an issue.
on a cheap capture card i can understand, but you'd expect more out of known brands.
I was thinking I can use the desktop aux port. But every yt video I saw said to use the elgato hd60s+ then I found this video and thank god I don't have to drop loads of money cos I just ordered myself a budget card lmao. Gunna try this

Will you be able to use the mic in the game? Like Fortnite for example. Me and my brother use the chat in the game itself. If I were to record my sessions, will it be able to catch all audio? The game itself and mic? I been having this problem for a long time and I put away my recording gear.

If your steaming like obs it won’t pickup your gaming mic headset, you will need to use and external mic so your stream can hear you and you use your headset to talk in game
yes but the only way is to turn on remote play, because then you can just use the chat link on your laptop, but by itself connecting it to your controller,
no unfortunately Sony blocks party chat being connected to a capture source.

Could someone explain to me, why when I plug in my 3D Pulse headset on Elgato's chat Link Pro chat in the game, I have echo?
The audio on the Elgato Capture Software is fine but on OBS it feels very choppy and like there is background noise. I have the isolator turned on but it still feels choppy. Can you help me?

can you plug one of the auxs into the controller and the other audio jack into your mixamp??? my capture card is the game capture hd so it doesn't have an aux jack
Chat Link is designed to by used directly with your headphones. If you are using a Mixamp, you'll need to connect the headphone end of Chat Link to the Aux port. To do this, you'll need to use a 3.5mm stereo cable.
Is it possible to do this with the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro wireless? The GameDac does have a line in and line out port and I was wondering if that would be work before I decided to purchase those headsets.

@@Greensp yeah I have a30s, struggling that much to decide what to get for Xmas was going to get the nova pro wired, just nervous is won’t work properly, no conclusive answer anywhere
@MykeJD yea, I say the A30s is probably the best bet I can use the chat link while listening to spotify on my pc and answer calls on my cell

Apparently this is not compatible with the Xbox x, as the product saids ps4/ps5 ... I bought one for my xbox x and the chat audio is extremely low can barely hear it.

plug your headphones into tv so you can hear, then plug usb mic into ps5 to talk to ppl, use another mic for commentary on pc

Im sorry for the inconvinience but does Chat Link pro work with usb headsets ? Im trying to buy one but im not sure if it will work.
Chat Link Pro only let's you capture audio that is output from the controller. If your headset plugs directly into your controller using a 3.5mm cable, it will work with Chat Link Pro. However USB or Wireless Headsets don’t connect through the controller, and are thus not directly compatible.
Some USB or Wireless headsets have ‘mobile’ or other wired options for use with a mobile phone. One headset that does this is the Sony PlayStation Wirelss Gold headset. A headset like this is compatible when using said cable that’s included.

I need serious help. I have HD60 X with chat link pro. I have a ps5 and I'm using pulse. and it's not picking up my voice at all. I've seen dozens of videos at this point.

Bonsoir, j’ai un problème. Quand je branche le câble sur la manette PS5 et le boîtier Elgato 4K60S + ça n’enregistre pas le son de micro. Le seul moment où j’ai entendu ma voix dans l’enregistrement c’est quand je suis dans le réglage du volume du micro… Quelqu’un pourrait m’aider s’il vous plaît? Je ne passe pas par un PC, je capture en direct sur la PS5. Merci 😁

Hi ElGato, the ChatLink seems interesting but it doesn't work as showed in your video, as soon as I choose the Analogic Audio, OBS doesn't catch the sound of the PS5 anymore, when I remove Analogic audio, the sound is back in OBS but disappeared from my headset, any answer about that ?? I can get audio from game and other people's mics but not my own on OBS and 4k Capture Utility. I've tried everything, but I'm not understanding. The only time it captures my mic is when I do "adjust mic level" on playstation. Makes no sense.

I am using a wireless headset on the PS5 with a dock, and when I put in HDMI output, it has sound, but When I put output to my headset, nothing records, so I can not connect my wireless headset to the PS5 to hear sound and record on the Elgato 4K utility with sounds. What should I do?I will never use cable headsets that make me go crazy. I also bought the chat link, but I was too scared to try playing with cable headphones
I connected my wireless headphones to the PC, set the output to HDMI on the PS5, and connected the mic to the PS5. Now I can record with PS5 sound, my voice and party chat.

If you are using a 4K X, HD60 X, or similar USB model then you can connect Chat Link Pro directly to the capture card. No need to connect Chat Link Pro to your laptop directly.
wait so with this cable will i be able to hear my party chat and the game audio onto my stream?
Did it worked for you? Streamlabs doesnt register my mic or party chat from ps5 on my pc while trying to use streamlabs. I can only hear the game if I do streaming.

I’m so frustrated. I’ve returned the 4k60 to pick up the HD60x and still cannot here the audio. There’s no way I actually need to get two microphones to make this work properly. I have the analog setting turned on, and I have the capture card device set up properly. AND I STILL CANT HEAR MY ON VOICE. It captures everything but my voice which makes no sense.
It only captures the audio. It doesn’t capture your voice. You will need another mic for commentary
