I wish I could have that one when I was younger, I had unfortunate GSX750R 1992 (water cooled) as my first bike being just 19... you won't learn anything on 750ccm, too scary. I adore people really knowing how to ride, not only a straight line throttle fighters. On 125ccm you can really learn how to ride, curve, stop and then move on to something bigger.
I went 138km/h with mine last time (albeit in the most favourable ever conditions (down a mountain pass, tailwind, slipstreaming a group of 'real' motorcyclists). It's quick. It's fast alright. Shame Honda doesn't squeeze out the maximum that's allowed for 125cc with that block there. And its looks are getting old (reminds me of the old NSR125R days). In 2016 Honda facelifted the Asian CBR150R (our 125cc limit is 150cc there) and that does look like a very mean bike. Shame they didn't have the guts to bring it here. Their Neo Cafe nakes bikes are the first naked bikes I like the looks of, they're alright, but that doesn't do much in terms of performance, now does it? Don't like the KTM RC, sat on one and it has the same issue as the seamingly laidback Duke (which I did testdrove), that isn't chill at all. Footpegs way behind you, causing you to lean your body forwards, all the weight on the wrists. Very uncomfortable. Add the snappy throttle reponse when you lay off a little crushes your precious juwels against the tank... no thank you. Do love that orange scheme though. The Yamaha... you'd think with Rossi as their MotoGP rider, they could do a little more to lure people to the brand. But I find the YZF-R125 a very boring bike. Of all the bikes I actually liked Aprilia's the best. Didn't get to ride the RS, but I did the Tuono 125 and it's a lovely machine (with a couple of quirks). The GSX-R125 however is a quicker and more trick bike. The GSX-R125 has to be the no.1 bike to consider when you're looking at new 125s. Kitted mine with the sportspack (seat cover, windshield, carbon-look bits and yellow rim decals). Thinking about a R&G tailtidy and Exan exhaust (apparently most others aren't homologated and not EC approved (really wanted the Yoshimura R-77S, but alas))... or saving the costs of tuning it up and keep it as is. Until I upgrade to my next bike... which might be another GSX-R. But it will have some tough competition. There's a lot of cool other bikes I've seen, e.g. a 2nd hand Triumph Daytona 675R.
@@JDMz the RS4 is the fastest of them all in the low to midrange and only beaten by the Yamaha by a couple of mph in the top end, and in 6 years of ownership, the only unreliable thing has been your head gasket on your 166cc kit I had professionally fitted ;-)

You can watch a real Road test than. In indonesia, there's reviewer Who hates this gixxer design and they called it ugly. In under 100 meter yamaha is first, Honda is second and gixxer is Last. But they surpise that suzuki won despite they called it as catfish looks
Under 100meter, suzuki is the slowest because its torque is lower than competitor. You only got this result with 1KM distance because DOHC overbore like old 90's engine. All the New engine use same bore or under bore to safe fuel. Suzuki still use older tech
Suzuki GSXR 125r so good looking bike beautiful blue colour thanks to Suzuki for manufacturing such a wonderful bike 👌
It's 150cc in Indonesia . I like product of Suzuki, it's the best.

Bloke down the pub: not much you can do with a 15hp engine...
Yamaha: hold my VVA
Even tho suzuki are better well :) cheaper better top speed and weight
I don't think that version of R125 have VVA
